  1. Once I have 10 insp slots (forget what level that is) i always try to keep one slot empty.

Small yellows get popped almost immediately. Last night I had 5 small yellows stacked on me just because the little buggers kept on dropping. Blues and greens I may hoard a little.

If I'm playing support, I'll pass my reds to the damage dealers, or purps and oranges to the tank if he/she is having a tough time. Blue to anyone that seems to be sucking wind.

If I'm dead and the person fighting near me looks about to die as well, I'll try and feed them greens or purps or anything that might save them.
  2. I was on a TM this weekend where the Director 11 fight went eerily smoothly. He was a grease spot on the floor in mere minutes. Even all my imps survived! That is...rarely the norm for that fight.

Favorite line after an especially difficult Director 11 battle:
"Get his pants. We're not done yet."
  3. "Outrageously sexy [Level + AT] looking for a team!"

It works disturbingly well. The more titilating adjectives you add, the more effectively it works.
  4. MaHaBone23

    Storm and what?

Earth/Storm controller. It is jam packed with stackable effects like stuns and slows, has more than enough Knockdown to keep spawns permaflopping, a solid immob that lets you enjoy the damage of tornado without the scatter and a sturdy pet to mop up stragglers.
  5. Just staying. I'm not gun expert by any measure, but it was always my understanding that "suppressive fire" was designed more to make your enemies too scared to stick their heads out and fire back, rather than somehow stunning them. Are these supposed to be beanbag rounds or something?
  6. I'm not quite a familiar with the requirements for a GM hunter builds, esp on a Fire/Rad but here's a little bit of advice I can offer:

Put your +Stealth proc in Sprint, gain yourself back a slot. Unless you're really dying for sliver of extra Health.

Three slot stamina at least. Four slot if you want the proc in there too. I'm not sure what the return is on that proc, but iirc its not huge. A IO end mod will probably gain you more end than the proc, but I might be wrong.

If you don't mind a lot of Hamidon raiding, get yourself some Enzyme Exposures for RI to really get the most out of it. Keep the Achilles -res proc tho.

I don't know if they are as critical against GMs, but you dont have any Chance for Hold procs. Those procs hit so much they and a huge amount of magnitude to your holds, especially if you're trying to stack.

Absolutely get the Contagious Confusion proc for WoC. This seems like a weird power for a Monster Buster, but with the CC proc, WoC works pretty well for crowd control. Drop the Recharge/Acc if you need to lose one. The power recharges very fast already, and your global acc will shore up this power.

    Best power ever!

Aim + BU + Inferno. The choking lag spike it cause just adds to the anticipation. Like punching enemies in the face WITH THE SUN.

Fearsome Stare is awesome too, if only for the "Skull popping out mah face!" animation.

All of the animations in Duel Pistols feel uber fun, even if the numbers don't wow people as much. My DP is a Blaxploitation super heroine, and she looks so damn BA putting down a baddie with Executioner's Shot.

Stalagmites... there is something awesome about uppercutting enemies- WITH THE GROUND!
  8. Dammit, you guys... just when I thought Shard hoarding had cured my altitus. Now I need to roll a Elec/TA :-|
  9. Can any of Elec's powers light the oil slick?

In all fairness, they had no clue what happened. All the knew was that my toon was standing on a medipad picking her nose while they were trying to finish off Battle Maiden. I did try and respond to a few of the tells, but they were already offline by the time I got back.
  11. I was responsible for a Apex Horror Story this past Friday. I was on my 50+ Fire/Rad troller. PuG team, mixed ATs, couple blasters, 2 tanks, 1 PB. I was the only support toon.

Eat floor a few times, but I play pretty aggressive, and rare is the tank i can't steal aggro from. First mission gets a little brutal on the steps of the PPD, but we soldier through.

Second mission is tough, but much easier to hosp and rezone, so we just keep putting the screws to BM. Got her down to about 20% health...

And then I hear this through my baby monitor:
    THUMP!
    Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

I was out of my seat in a flash. I was zoning at the time, to the hosp in RWZ, so not even a BRB. I just booked.

My daughter was OK (if she was a Co* AT, she'd be a Brute for sure.) Mostly shocked, and for the life of me, I have no idea how she climbed out of her crib. Imagine trying to climb a shoulder high wall while in a sleeping bag. So I calm her down, set the crib mattress to its lowest setting, get her back to sleep, and finally get back to my comp.

I was still on the medipad in RWZ. My team was gone. The chat log as a series of "Where are you?!" and "Screw You!" Since I was the only source of -regen on the team, they couldn't take down BM.

So if you were on that TF on Virtue on Friday Night, around 10 pm est... sorry about that!
  12. I'm sure everyone plays their Frad differently, but if you're getting the most out of the Choking Cloud/Hot Feet combo, you won't be at range.

Its a very expensive build I know, but this character is fun on a bun to play, so I never needed to farm or grind to get the recipes or enhancements I needed. I hope you have as much fun as I did/do!

I HIGHLY recommend the Lockdown Proc in Choking Cloud. Hell, I recommend it in any power you can stuff it, but it really shines in CC.
  14. I just noticed recently that the white comets that spin around active toggles seem to spin at slightly different speeds. Is there a reasoning behind the varied spins?
  15. Damn, this thread is tweaking my altitus something FIERCE

Getting any decent name on Virtue or Freedom is tough, but I got these:
    Rockroach
    Rubber Bullet

    Whipsmart
    Heck-Spawn
    Joy Buzz
    (Joy Buzzer was taken :-(
    Matchstick Girl
    Puzzling Evidence
    El Gigundo
    Doll Eyes
    Tubal Cain
    (Freemason passwords FTW!)
I was amazed when Twicken Sisted was available, after I got generic'd from Chitzen Giggles.

I was all excited to get Metronome (back in like i16) until i realized i misspelled it Metranome. Which isn't like me. i suspect foul play.
  16. Here's my predictions for i20

The two new workout emotes and one new running emote will change everything you know about ERP.

The new String Bind system will make Duel Blades and Atlas Park dance-offs easier and more exciting than ever.

With Skirts getting ported to male characters, i will never look up again.

The changes to Illusion are guaranteed to uncork a poop storm on the controller forums. Can't say I'm excited about them myself.

The first glimpse of the Moonbase Theta Trial :happy clap:

New sonic auras will keep me from ever turning my speakers on in Atlas ever again.

The new "mega-sword" costume options will ensure a rash of Cloud and Pyramid Head wannabes. Already camping the name "Ponzi Head" on Freedom.
  17. It's fun on those high bridges on the ITF. Raining men indeed.
  18. My Fire/Rad/Psi troller is my Jack of All Trade toon. Just by stepping into the fight, I've got a slow, a pulsing, proc'ing AoE hold, a pulsing, proc'ing AoE confuse, pulsing Psi damage AND pulsing Fire damage. And I haven't even clicked a single power yet.

Once I start clicking, I got an AoE heal (not awesome but it hits lots of targets), two solids toggles with -def, -to hit, -dam and -dam res. A perma-able slow with a solid amount of -regen. A decent AoE hold, another brutal AoE hold, a solid AoE stun, an AoE immob with -kb. An PBAoE team buff that brings all kinds of awesomeness. A AoE -percep that lets me manage the show, and an AoE KB patch that drives Freakshow tanks through the ceiling droptiles.

I can debuff the enemies that just killed my tank, lock down said enemies, turn the tank's corpse into a bomb, and then turn the corpse back into a tank. All while the enemies roast and choke at my very presence and my imps rip their ankles off.
  19. I use RotP literally all the time on my Fire/Fire blaster. It's literally key to her attack chain. Occasionally, i do get smacked back down, but the KB and stun it offers are pretty effective. I've seen it Stun EBs (most recently, the Minotaur guarding the Well of the Furies) and I've seen it knock Captain Mako and Sirrocco on their butts (maybe have been Earthquake assisted, can't recall.) And I only have it slotted for recharge (3 slots, that's how often I use it!)

But as with everything YMWV I guess. :-/
  20. Maybe you mish is bugged. I just did pretty much all of the Praetorian content with my KM/DA stalker at 0/0. I think I died maybe twice, and both times chalked up to my recklessness/sloppiness.

IIRC I ran from alot of those ambushes. Since its easy to outlevel content, I spent much of the time with XP shut off, so unless there was a tactical reason to engage, I ran.

Yeesh. Done that. If it wasn't for the four travel powers, I'd swear you were talking about me.

Although, in my feeble defense, my secondary was Energy Blast (because it looks kewl) but I had no clue how to manage the Knockback
  22. You might want to consider a Mind Dom too. I have a 26 Mind/Ment that's reasonably fun.
  23. I teamed with a Tank in the min-teams who had half the medicine pool, with plans to take all of it. Ditto on the leadership pool. I'll leave it to you to imagine what she wasn't taking from her primary or secondary to get there.

While i can forgive that as a newbie ambition, she would not shut up about how she was going to be the most desired character on any team. Even when some of us tried to point out constructively that she might want to focus on surviving before she tried healing everyone, she completely dismissed us, and thus made the graduation from newb to n00b.
  24. I have a 39 Elec/Cold. The incompatibility between Sleet and Static Field isnt that bad. Really, its just two different tools to allow you to adapt to two different tactics.

On more cautious teams, Static Field allows you to sleep enough foes to pick your fights more carefully. On more batpoop AoE teams, Sleet helps mitigate damage with KD and it also has a ncie -res to it.

And since either power is relatively effective at controlling a mob, you can Sleet the first mob, and SF the mob some gung ho scrapper aggro'd. Also, elec's Immob has no -KD, so enemies will keep flopping even after you immobilize them.
  25. I'd love to run a Frad super team on Virtue. feel free to look me up if anyone else is game. Twicken Sisted/@MaHaBone
