How do these powers actually animate? Do they use the same sort of guns as AR (aside from Body Armor, of course)?

    [/ QUOTE ]

The sleep, hold, and LRM rocket all use the rifle. Armor is an armor, and Surveillance is just a nifty animation with a mini wrist computer that shoots out a big targeting/scanning effect.
  2. it works fairly well for assisting you in combat. Unlike other APPS, however, it doesn't offer much of anything defense wise.
LRM rocket, good attack but on one long timer.
    Marginally useful sleep AoE
    Decent passive armor
    Good hold power
    Great surveillance

There's so many demons in this game what wield different elements!

Hordelings and Spectral Demons have ice, Behemoths have fire, I think Succubi have Psi...

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Succubi have Pwnage. lol

    QFT

    wrong. succubi have Bewbage.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Counter point:
This is a video game. Bewbage is directly related to, not exclusive to, pwnage. One could say bewbage dictates pwnage levels in many areas.

    Website is working now:
    http://www.cityofheroes.com/goingrogue/

To be honest, I don't know if my heroes would go rogue just for badges....Also not thrilled about having MMs in City of Heroes. Praetoria sounds exciting....the ability to switch sides...not so much.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    ah, it does work.
The "Hall of Heroes" Is one way to enforce word of mouth/viraled advertising.

    trailer looks nice too.
  5. Good stuff, grats!
This guy has sharp style and nice chiseled look.
  6. I find /dark the better choice. The debuffs are amazing, the heal is very useful, and most of your debuffs are AoEs. So if you happen to get hoarded on, just toggle up DN on the appropriate target and position debuffs. Howling twilight is amazing for handling people with big regen.

Slots some chance for neg damage and achilles in your soldiers/spec ops. Profit!

As Auspice mentioned, though, if you're taking on single targets a lot, poison, or tend to work with teams, go pain.

Yah, but you would have to give 'YOUR' character a really good motivation for turning the kid into a monster. what do YOU get from it? there are several downsides, more competition, more alert enemies...

You could actually work your motivation into the plotline, perhaps having the kid 'perform his use' in mission 4, helping you do something you cannot do on your own, and then, in mission 5, when his 'purpose is served' you gank the whiny angstmonkey.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That is a good idea. Once he does get his true super villain visage, and shows some great potential for being actual competition, double cross time. *starts writing*

Now, I only have one arc slot left. I have another arc centered around Dr. Vahz, but I believe this idea will do better if I execute it well. Here I go.
  8. I just got a cool idea for an arc.

Your villain is contacted by some desperate teenager, who is having troubles at home. He's in a phase of his life where things get angsty and he starts loathing the world around him. You aproach him irritated, just to inquire why he's being a pest.
This mission arc will focus on you "mentoring" this troubled youth into a new villain of sorts. I think I'll focus on the villain showing this contact what REAL villainy is about, and how to take things waaaay too far.

    Some ideas for missions here:
-Example mission. You show the contact "how its done"
-Saved from redemption mission. You intercept help for the contact, like his parents or a psychiatrist, because he's in a phase where he can be molded too become a reaaaaly evil person, much like yourself. "Helping" is usually not a villains fortay, but you're helping him become helplessly evil : D
-Mentoring. A mission co-op with the contact, showing him the ropes.
-A new villain is born. Final story mission will probably star the contact in his new super villain visage. I'm hoping this could be a peak for the dynamic "growth" of the contact.

Oh, man, now I'm really thinking about this. It could be good.
  9. cot for ninjas? KoA maybe, yeah.
Mercs could get the PPD swat variations
Robots would do good with PPD bots, too, as they are actually kind of similar already.

But that simply gets around the issue. The type of spawn created is based on the programming of the power. It's stiff programming. There's, at the moment, no way insert usable variables for pet spawns.
Another issue is the pets here. They'd have to be custom re-animated in some cases to compensate for new powers that weren't meant for that model.
And then the fact that you will be carrying around NPCs that look like other NPCs. This is very minor, but an issue non the less.

Just got my first level 50 Villain!

    A Technology Ninja Blade/Ninjitsu Stalker.

    Name: Boxxy Ninja

    WOOT!

    [/ QUOTE ]

I did a rikti raid with you shortly after John Graham, my scrapper, hit 50.
    Yay~!
  11. I blame you for two day old bread.
  12. I made a farming mission with a good story. Well, it's more of a challenge mission. . . I know I'm in the extreme minority there.

Anyways, for actual play, I'll takes story and average exp. Sure a farm is tolerable, for a while, but it's repeating the same thing over and over for no apparent reason but to earn more expz and lewtz. I find it hard to take over time. I like arcs with good stories, that actually entertain me in some way, and make me want to actually play the game.
  13. I blame you for letting 2day old accounts reach level50 in 12 hours.

    * ugh, noobs ._.
    * At least it's not freedumb
  14. I have zero idea how hard it would be to implement, but I do have a suggestion:
    1. Seriously need to fix rikti communicators.
    2. Bring the smack down to known and obvious farming maps and possibly punish the heavy users.
    AND/OR
Institute serious DR on repeating a mission. Most farms are done by repeating an easy mission, but activating a DR curve to it will help diminish this issue quite a bit. This will also have no effect on normal players, as they're probably not repeating arcs over and over anyways.
    3. Farming practically must exist, but if it does, let it be an official and well controlled version. Introduce "Skip" arcs for leveling up to various level ranges. Each level range of a skip arc must be unlocked by getting 10 levels above the skip level the old fashioned way, or restricting based on active account time. Prevents noobs from super PLing to 50 and being... well, noobs.
    4. There is a hole, though, as one can simply re-publish a mission. Maybe have it so people who are repeat offenders to creating supremely 'effective' farm maps get punished in some way.
    5. If we want power leveling of any kind to essentially STOP, they could try to find away to cap exp rate.

Once again, I haven't a clue how hard this would be to implement.

On the topic of PLing, I do do it sometimes, but it's only to skip over the parts of the game that suck, like life before level20. My biggest "offense" level wise was a recent re-roll of a scrapper of mine. Was a lvl40 Claw/WP, re-rolled with a PL as a Katana/WP, he's now at lvl46. Take that how you want it, cause I think what I'm doing, though not great, is understandable. Letting clueless people go straight to 50, however, isn't understandable at all.
  15. I blame you for not being able to blame anyone.
  16. This event was pretty darn epic. Though I ended up spending most of time in the D on test. Glad I weaseled out of working, had an amazing time! (got some lag, but it was the awesome kind. Like server crashing from too many winterlords xD )

    Happy 5th !
  17. Would be a nice QoL indeed. I'd be for having it as an option in the character selection area, a "Copy character to test server" button when the character is selected.
  18. I'm all for this idea : D
Would be nice to see what I'm getting and where it's going.
  19. I blame you for killing my solo petless Ninja/FF MM over and over and over again ...
  20. I managed to be here during most of the event. I was on the test server mostly, though. The D was much more awesome than atlas on many levels. I did hop live though, got some badges. Good times to be had.
I'm really lucky I was able to participate though; if bossman wasn't easy going than I couldn't be here. I understand a lot of people weren't so lucky for this and various reasons, which sucks.
  21. I'm having the same issues, but only recently. Here's my Diag, if you can get some info off it. Thanks in advance.

  24. Aspect of War, my manly DM/Inv soul stealing powerhouse, hit lvl50 last week. Didn't bother posing about it 'till now though, lol. He's my third lvl50 villain... I need to work on my heroes some time.
  25. Played with this pack quite a bit, these animations and costume parts are beyond sexy 8D

My DM/Inv brute got one awesome make-over
