Well Part of the reason you may not be enjoying yourself is because you lack one of the bread and butters of fire....fire cages, Flashfire+Cages...run in with hot feet, most spawns are dead.
The reason why trollers and dom shouldnt spam mass immo's is if they dont have mitigation, stun, confuse etc. Thats the only time it isnt worth having.
Fire/Stone is potentially the most end heavy combos doms have which makes lvling a pain in the tookus, but the end result is Aoe goodness. Yes you can run mudpots and hotfeet at once, but mudpots really isnt that good to validate how much end it uses. Your already overkilling it when you have hotfeet and the small benefit really isnt worth it. -
Thx Mental Maiden....with that said, both are about even imo. It all depeds on what you want,more damage or better saftey....not that fire trollers are debit collectors, but the range+seeds on plant give it the edge.

Hurricane+Hot Feet worries. I've never seen a fire/storm live to see how that would work but, pin them against a wall and burn them to death with hot feet??. And does fire cages offer -kb?, if not I dont see why somebody would roll it. Not dissing, I'm just not knowledgable about the specfic combo. I'm analyzing the sets seperately in my head so if a fire/storm would come educate me that would be nice
. I think either would work but not knowing about hurricane+hotfeet wont allow me to recommend it.
With that said, I still wouldnt roll one over fire/storm lol. The safety, controlled chaos and repectable damage is too good to pass up. The combo is visually beautiful, you'd never get tired of seeing it. -

Other epics maybe like ice for the Hib and things like that if im in melee distance of baddies and stuff, I am no pro in builds lol, thats why I turn to people on here who are longer term vets than I am (only 18 months) I do have a few pvp toons which I was able to make but they are nothing compared to what is in RV and things.

I just dont find two powers iceslick/liquefy out of a whole set constitutes as synergy with the whole set...yes iceslick and liquefy are great together but when mentioning the values are similar to some rad powers, you have to take the whole rad set into account then the whole sonic set into account. There's not really much of a comparision on that one.
You'd get more bang for you buck on a
Ice/Rad
Ice/Cold
Maybe even a ice/storm than Ice/Sonic. Then those resist shields look pretty, but to me they are only useful with toons who have the ability to heal themselves for great gain, have good defense or resistance on their own, mainly melee toons. All they do for squishies is up your face plant seconds for example from 20 secs to 25secs lol.
Sonic has literally 3 good powers throughout the whole set. Which to me doesnt justify taking it over anything else except for the sake of being unique. -

Global recharge is 178.3% I think...Ranged def is 29%...I'm trying to squeeze in more recharge (not sure the number for perma PA). Any help is appreciated. -
I dont care about my teammates being ugly...It's for their own good lol. You gave me something to think about with Ice breath though, if the cone is anything like firebreath ice may win out. Got a Plant/fire dom that was going to go with the Ice APP and I guess I dont want the ice overkill being as both toons are the most played.

I'm stubborn about those ugly shields...I dont want to be covered in earth nor ice hence the inclusion of mace mastery. I'm pretty sure for when your doing trials that your controls simply wont be enough and having EXTRA layer of protection will be welcome.
Each I think has it's downside for "ME"....
Ice/Earth- Ugly shield(yes I know Im being petty)
Fire-Resist Shield, No heal, and rise of phoenix should be traded out for rain of fire
Mace-Redraw
Right now fire is OK...but that resist shield isnt stacking with Manuevers, or Def in Artic fog, although it's resist alone is 27%, or else I'd keep it. -
Right now I have the fire App...loving fire blast and fireball most of all...but the shield is resistance based, which may cause a problem when trying to soft cap ranged def. Was thinking earth but they have no ST blast, and the shield is hideous. Ice...iceblast is good, good AOE with Ice storm but that shield is hideous as well. Now Mace mastery, the only draw back I see there is the redraw from poisonous ray. Alittle help?...cant post a build I'm at work atm.

Because they have no synergy together. Ice needs a debuffing secondary to make up for its lackluster damage, And Sonic is just Resistance version of forcefield that falls short of it's cousin. Making that combo is just asking for trouble, however if your one of those adventurous crazy people, then go right ahead

Not a build kind of guy, however plant/emp is pretty good...heck */emp is good. Also I would consider Plant/Thermal, strictly because emp has no debuffs. Thermal offers Heals/Buffs/And Debuffs, while emps just offer Heals/buffs...very good heals and buffs but I dunno always having a debuff somewhere is very benfical, especially when your team has none.

Another vote for buffing...I wasnt going to take my ice shields on my ill/cold because I personally hate buffing until mental maiden advised me to(yes I take forum advice
). It was worked wonders, and it's not that hard to take alittle time to buff your teammates. The more protection your team has the more it it benefits everyone....even if you hate doing it.

lol dont make a grav/FF, because once you see how poor gravs damage is and how your secondary has no debuffs to help correct it you'll be sitting there like this " :-| "

Then I will take back every evil thing I've ever said about grav...but I envision it being the newest farm fotm if that happens.

Did I just read correctly?...Musculature affects pet damage?, does this hold true for psuedo pets like carrion creepers?, or Maybe Phantom Army for trollers?

Affecting powers that do damage...however theres probably a unwritten line that states "POWERS THAT DO DAMAGE FROM YOU", hence why pet reactive interface will do nothing. Just my guess.

Alot of things dont affect Phantom Army so it's not at all surprising...dunno what you expected. However they did let you slot it. *kanye west shrug*

Ice slick is the only thing that seems pretty attractive...Ice needs to be reworked. I dont see why people would roll a ice dom nowadays when Earth lives. I wouldnt say its gimped, because anything can be great in the right hands, its just all about how much effort it takes for your toon to be great, and Ice/Ice needs alot.

But if I find I prefer controls over damage on a CONTROLler(lol), I'll go earth. Plants dont sit right with me cause I dont like confuse. Confuse is great for control as I've seen, but wouldn't it be bad lvling up if all the enemies are killing each other and you are getting poor exp cause of them offing themselves? I'm kinda impatient so I get really annoyed when a mind troll has to kill a few with confuse...If we have to kill a few each mob, lower the difficulty >.>

Shows how good cold really is because I still swear elec does very poor damage...tried to roll the set multiple times because the elec concepts just rock. However Disappointed to no end. This was on Dom's though, maybe troller's debuff put it on a even playing field...*shrugs*
