Atom on "eyes" looks like just another glowing eyes.

I've tried the Intel quad-core vs the AMD quad-core, and on a laptop I've found the AMD had the edge in performance, at a sacrifice of battery life. I'm running a tri-core atm, and my performance matches my friends intel quad-core, despite me sacrificing 400Mhz clock speed.

I'll admit, the new auras gave me ideas for characters. I'm rolling up a grav controller now, just to have the atom aura. (things flying around his gravity, hehe)
*edit* it won't let me create any characters, saying all slots are unavailable. I even deleted some to try and do it. -
I paid $500 for my laptop, which I play CoH on, altho with the water effects off. Here's one able to handle it with the water effects on, for under $900:

tested with Tannenbaum, my killer artificial christmas tree. The sparks are perfect for him.

Let's us an Anagram generator. And the winner is...
Steam Ants! -
I hope not, it was always entertaining to see another parents words. My son's now 8, and his toon Plantbot finally has hit 33. For an ADHD 8 year old, getting a plant/kin controller up to 33 is impressive to me.

Quote:This bothers me, as my main PvP toon *is* a teleporter. My main toon, who has most of the PvP badges despite being built for PvE, is a flier. This never changed. Teleport doesn't work in pvp so that's out. Fly is too slow to pursue anyone and is tactically a poor option. There are too many ways to disable it, from webnades to immobilizes or attacks with -fly.
Super Speed was pretty much always the standard and still is. Since i13, slows do pretty much nothing, it is the best option. Super Jump offers some vertical mobility and allows speeders to get close enough to fliers to ground them and make them helpless. It is not as much a necessity. -

Random thinking while I was fighting off Zombies with my BS/Shield, what I needed was:
a Chainsaw option for my broadsword -
I started with a Blaster. My first 50, the same Blaster. It did, indeed, force me to learn quickly what was right, and wrong, in how to play. I made a lot of mistakes (two travel powers, no fitness, by lvl 24) but learned (thank goodness for respecs).
I may suggest an oddball choice, however. To get into the game, perhaps a Stalker would be better. It would allow him to move about without being jumped. It's weak enough that you need to learn blaster-style tactics but is more survivable than a Blaster. -
My Nin/TA MM has taken on most AV's and won w/o much worry. My mind/psi Dom has done well, but Citadel keeps doing him in.

Stealth Tanks are fun. "Ok, I'm herding this group, running through another group en-route to and from"
-
It depends on the player. The person at the keyboard is far more important. I use kb on my mains attack chain, it works quite well when done properly. "RoA, EA, snipe" and down goes the boss, and the minions are now scattered to the point that everyone can pick their own and go to town.

God analog for the real-world analog for Paragon, Providence, does not have an airport within the city limits, but instead in a nearby city, Warwick.

Quote:Due to the Halloween event this is relevant again (Or more relevant in the short term) due to the Pumpkinhead. As soon as I saw that I thought "Oh, that would make a good starting point for a character... oh wait."
Holy necro-thread batman!
And I have a lvl 2 with the Pumpkinhead piece. It just takes one good zombie raid to unlock. -
My stone/stone brute is slow, but when I just don't have it in me, I pop on mudpots, auto-taunt, and walk away. I come back 10 minutes later to find him plodding along, with a pile of corpses in his wake.

Yes, if there was a way to get a Paragon Protector costume, I have one guy who'd run wth that on 24/7
-
Already have costume, I am ready, on multiple servers.

Quote:You just gave me the concept for my first Empath!!! AWESOME!To my mind doorsitting in missions, whether AE or regular, isn't really leveling to 50 without fighting. Technically you aren't fighting, but it's not really in the spirit of the challenge.
That reminds me of the guy who posted that his Empath didn't slot or use any attacks because he was a pacifist.
i... see... so in order to express your objection to violence you follow around a group of violent people and juice them with amphetamines and steroids to keep them strong and aggressive and patch them up when they bruise a knuckle smashing other people's faces in. Yup, definitely a true pacifist. Assuming your definition of pacifist is a coward who likes to facilitate and watch violence committed by others. -
Unless of course it was a case of "Dad, you're purposefully letting cities get destroyed so that people loose hope and turn to you as a dictator. I'm going to the UN Security Council to tell them." "Oh mother..."
