Cavemen with glow in the dark shields that are made of some kind of force field... maybe you read different history books to me...

Enforced Morale: Frees and ally from any disorient hold, sleep, fear, confuse and immobilize effects and leaves them resistant to such effects for a good while. Also, grants the target clearer perception to see hidden foes and minor recharge and movement speed boost. Protection and Movement boost will improve with multiple applications and as you advance in level, although the recharge and movement boost will only apply for the first few applications. If the ally is not damaged, Enforce moral will cause them some......

    [/ QUOTE ]

I hope the bit you cant read dont render that useless.

Anyway, I don't quite see what focused accuracy has to do with weapons. Scrappers are a bit short-changed when it comes to APPs as it is (only three of them, while the other ATs have 4-5) and breaking the theme for one of them and duplicate powers isn't going to help the diversity.

    [/ QUOTE ]

At least heroes get some diversity, villains are the really short changed ones.

We can't do it the way suggested here (it would make things far too easy for fraud), however the ability to make gift purchases is something under consideration.

    [/ QUOTE ]

At one time you could do it, because i bought a few GvE packs for people.
  8. [ QUOTE ]
Given that you have to craft them from Salvage and pay extortionate amounts of money to place them, what really boils my blood is that if you then delete the item, for example a teleport pad because you're moving from the 2-square to 4-square room but don't have enough money or space for both at the same time (so you've nowhere to put your TP Pad while deleting one room and creating the other) you lose the item completely and have to start from scratch. You couldn't discourage people from using Salvage-crafted base items more if you gave them some sort of Herpesesque team-debuff aura for using them.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That has been my biggest gripe with the base builder from day 1.

Why on earth they couldnt have put an off map storage area in it to avoid that problem is beyond me.
  9. [ QUOTE ]
Every time I've bought something from the PlayNC store, they've only given me the last 4 characters of the code, and an "Apply to account" button in account management. I don't get the full code until AFTER I applied it, which is pretty useless really.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You might be right there thinking about it, i dont know if the e mail was sent before or after i clicked apply to be honest.
  10. [ QUOTE ]
While your passing on feedback, could you also add the ability to buy things from the PlayNC store as gift purchases, and give other people the codes so they can apply them to their accounts?

    [/ QUOTE ]

You can already do that, the full code is in the e mail you get from them after the purchase.

    **Bad SG Form**

    [ QUOTE ]
Ouch!!! This is gonna take us ages to get then I wish they could make this easier to get since as you say most SG's are PvE based and this is forcing players to take part in PvP, even though PvP does not interest a lot of players.

    [/ QUOTE ]

We did this in one day in Warburg with 8 members, 2 chars each, 1 kills all 7 others then swaps chars and goes to the back of the que, next one does same etc.
  13. I think the whole changing base salvage for invention salvage is the worst possible thing they could have done, especially for smaller sg's as Bru said.

All that is going to do is increase thefts (if they dont do something about access permissions) and make it a chore to get members to drop of invention salvage.

On a selfish note im really glad we have everything you can get in our base and no longer care about salvage.
  14. I start at level 32 by buying a full set of standard io's, because level 35 io's are the lowest (percentage wise) that i am going to want to leave in for good.

If im going to bother with sets on a char i start about 40, a lot of chars i just use io's on, but thats just me.
  15. Yea i agree, all rolling a new char is gonna confirm is that there is life in the lower zones, which you know anyway.
  16. [ QUOTE ]
Obviously some things like Acc/Dam or Dam/Recharge are also going to be in higher demand, but try looking at different levels of them too (fairly quick to do) as you'd be amazed how much they can flucuate over 2 or 3 levels for no apparent reason.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thats good advice, dont be scared to drop 2 or 3 levels, the % difference in value is small, but the difference in cost can be big.

Also dont forget to look for ready mades not just the recipes, they are sometimes cheaper.

    **Bad SG Form**

I wouldnt say it was bad form if that was the SG rule. I suppose he could have discussed it further before booting you, but would that have changed your mind about entering sg mode?
If not then the end result would have been the same.

We just ask members to stay in SG mode till the 30s, then whenever they can afford it, but everyone has different rules.

    Affordability

Im not saying maxed out chars are needed but if that is what you want, farming, incredible luck with drops or a very long wait are the only choices.

Farming being the easiest, all be it the most boring too.

Even I have been strongly considering getting a temp 2nd account to get more inf to help me get there. 2nd account aside how long do people think it would take to earn around 500million inf doing anything that comes up in game...

    [/ QUOTE ]

Depends how lucky you are with drops. Iv had 50 million in a nights farming before, iv also had 5 million.

Sorry, GR, but you're barking up the wrong tree, in the wrong forest, on the wrong planet.

My post was not responding to anything that NCNC have recently announced, or done, regarding PvP. I was responding to the specific poster to whom I was replying regarding a specific post he made.

He did not ask for PvP to be updated, he asked for it to become something that CoX "was renowned for." In order to achieve that, you're going to have to do a lot more work than has currently been announced, including changing the reward system in the PvP Zones, and marketing CoX (very heavily) as a PvP game. You would need to put a large amount of effort into the PvP side of the game. So much that it would detract from the PvE side.

    [/ QUOTE ]

*ahem* No, I knew what you were saying. I believe CoH can become a game in which the PvP can garner a reputation for excellence. Being renowned for having good PvP doesn't mean you need to make your game a PvP-focus game, and it doesn't mean you need to neglect your PvE. And, as I said, if done right a lot of the things that could be done to improve on PvP in CoH could have beneficial effects for the PvE community as well. Likewise, many developments for PvE could be leveraged to help assist the development of PvP.

All it takes is a little thinking beyond the simple boxes of "this is for PvE" and "this is for PvP", because in my experience there is a lot of crossover between the two and that a well designed feature can be beneficial to both communities and thus help drive both PvE and PvP forward.

Edit: Put another way, I do not subscribe to the common perception that PvP and PvE are by necessity parasitic on each other when they coexist in one game. I fully believe that PvP and PvE can coexist in a symbiotic relationship. It just takes a design team that steps away from the 'parasite' mentality and considers whether an improvement for one or the other can be designed in such a way that it becomes useful to both.

With who? Last time check was 17 online in 30-40 range, 16 greyed out (no reply, a 'sorry full' or a 'sorry TF'). Playing in the night is a nightmare on EU.

All i can say then is mileage must vary, because i never have problems on Defiant villains, which IS getting to be a joke population wise.
