Any changes to bases in issue 13?

Also, there are two separate sets of forums because there are two sets of game accounts; one for US servers, one for the EU servers. As forum posting's linked to having an active game account, two sets of forums are needed too.
The reason that recipe storage wasn't added in the first place was to encourage players not to hold on to them, and to keep a steady supply of even rare recipes hitting the market - I'm not sure if the devs have changed their outlook on this or not.

It might make sense but it's still a pain when your scrapper has the expensive salvage and your troller has the recipe and you're waiting for someone you know to come online and do a swap for you.
Well I hope for more items we can put into the base.
So far as the original poster asked, I too have found little or no information.
The Red names have not said anything, yet.
I too heard about that rumor on the US forums "made a new base engine but it was worse then what is currently and we dont want to give you that"..
So im thinking positive and know that they have something much much better in store for us and they want to polish and give us a nice nice base upgrade
It is still worked on and that is good.. Well as far as I can tell.
If it is true then im glad the Devs did not give that. Personally im fond of the base editor as it is... but we need more items! ;D

there was a coment in ne of the recent interviews with posi where its mentioned about doing away with base salvage and completly replacing it with invention salvage not seen it confirmed anywhere else im just hopeing the sort out the storage situation at the same time or its going to creat even more issues with salvage theft and complants over storage than there already has been

Yes Base salvage will be removed and we can create base stuffs with invention salvage. (hope we can store it too)
And base items will be cheaper prestige wise...
Well just hope salvage will be easy to come by.. cause i have a feeling with base salvage gone.. it will be more expensive...

i hope for many new base things we can put into
what im hopein to see is an increase in the invention salvage drop rate to replace the losss off base salvage but i still think its a bad idea i can see alot of issues especialy for smaller sgs getting members to hand over salvage for the base to build itself but im holding out hope as the devs have been making alot of atention to details lately fixing lots of small issues to make the game a better place so imhopeing they have properly thought this thru before getting to this point

I think the whole changing base salvage for invention salvage is the worst possible thing they could have done, especially for smaller sg's as Bru said.
All that is going to do is increase thefts (if they dont do something about access permissions) and make it a chore to get members to drop of invention salvage.
On a selfish note im really glad we have everything you can get in our base and no longer care about salvage.
Well about the Theft.
It all comes down to who do you allow to get permissions in doing things. The rank system in the sg.
One way would be to perhaps get various types of ranks and classifications on that.
Besides that.. it runs down to trust amongst players.
But yes, going to miss the base salvage.

the big issue about the thefts isnt realy trust altho thats a huge facter its ben the fact that to allow somebody access to just something simple like the insp bins the haave access to ravage the hole suply so you are limited on how you let them build up trust
and witht the change to the salvage system this is going to make that harder i for one would like to limit our salvage bins so only the top two ranks can remove from them without asking but by doing that we limit access to the things like enhancements and insps somethng that we honestly dont bother to much about coz only takes a couple of days to replace those suplys
but in all honesty untill a ful list of mods to the base is released this conversation/ argument is kinda mute the devs have known for a long time now people are unhappy with the access system as is im just hoping thats one of the things they have looked at for us maybe ghost or pal can chime in at some point and let us know if there is more base goodness to be anounced with i13 or not

VAULT = Personal INVENTION Salvage
SHELVES = Shared BASE, COMPONENT, and EVENT salvage
If base salvage is going bye-bye, then does that mean people will be able to store more invention salvage, do you think?

if it were me i would keep the personal salvage system the way it is and open the current salvage racks so they hold invention salvage that way it allows people to donate to the base storage same way as before without giving up there personal stash as well
dosnt change the fact i still think this is a bad idea for bases instead of making things easyer for smaller groups i realy do think it is gona make it harder for them

We'll need bigger personal inventories too - right now, we can hold way more base salvage on our avatars than we can hold Invention salvage.

Has anyone managed to glean any info or does anyone have any useful speculation about the base changes coming (or not coming) in issue 13?
"all you bases are ours"(or similar) was supposedly the working title for this issue, but base issues are strangely absent from the issue initial 13 release info. All that made it into Positron's release announcement was this cryptic comment:

I can't find any discussion about issue 13 and bases on the EU forums though there is a little on the US forums. Someone there (can't find it again to quote reference, sorry) was saying he had talked to someone from NCNC at a show, and that the devs had tried to put in a load of changes for bases but it had been an absolute mess.
If this is true then I'm guessing that they're waiting to see what they can salvage of it before they announce anything to us.
I've been wanting a way to store recipes and a way to pass salvage between my alts for ages, and I hoped this was going to be it. My little guild has a million and a half prestige set aside ready... all revved up and nowhere to go
So anyone? Anything?
PS - (warning: rant begins!) Why are there two entirely different sets of forums for the same game; US and EU? No offence to the posters here, but because of the size of the player base in the US, all the interesting discussions are on a set of forums I'm locked out of (and it seems most of the red name traffic too)
