Now this might not be the worst idea. I admit I have not kept up on ALL the efforts and whats going on, but have any of the Dev's said they would be willing, with start-up cash provided by the community, to do this?

I know I would drop a lifetime sub for something that I knew was going to have the same feel and flair of CoX, but under a different name. That cash would fly from my wallet so fast it would make my wifes head spin. And I'm talking sight unseen with the game even. Just lemme know that the folks at Paragon were putting together a new hero game, and Im there.

Saw this at my local Vons grocery store, and kinda got pissed and sad all over again!!





I thought perhaps I should tell them to take them off the shelves, but at the time I was kinda too ticked off.

Am I missing something here? I have read all the info, "restructure", GW2 failing, cutting losses, and perhaps not being an international corporation CEO means I don't see some sort of "fine print" but I just can't see WTF is going on???

Ok, remove a crapload of folks who won't/can't pay that, remove a bunch of fake names, and then solve for computational error, and you would STILL be making bank off this game. WTF? I am just not geting it.

I was just watching a Big Bang rerun tonight and remembered how Sweat Pants guy is ALWAYS wearing a CoH shirt. Somebody over there MUST have heard of this. They could have gotten away with a simple plain ole comic book shop, but they didn't. It had MANY CoX references in it. I HAVE to believe somebody on the team of that show played.

Like many he was on my list at 0 (due to the crazy) but he went up to 1 with that part he had in Tropic Thunder. That was freaking funny.

I never read the book. So I thought the movie was fun. But never saw the sequels though. Heard they bit.

but I JUST did it for the first time myself. Knight Errant solo (sort of) on my MM. That was so fun. I kept thinking SOMEBODY would come along and help. But no. Just me and my boys. Silly little reasons I love this game. Ok, back to your 5gajillion badge lists.

Oh good lord that DID! And I only am turning 46 this year!! I still remember punching my friend in the skull and not talking to him for about a month with just 2 simple words uttered before I saw the film.... "Spock dies."

(A lil blast from the past)

I have been gone for a while and It appears that the forum still can't seem to "remember me" regardless of the box being checked or not. Has anybody figured out a fix for this?

I was wondering if dropping graphics setting to something like "stick figure" quality (you get my meaning) would do it. I don't have the best card out there. Actually it's the one Posi suggested way back to get "just" enough of the ultra effects.

Has anybody tried that?

So I had to quit playing for a while and when life got a bit mellower I thought I wouyld try out being a "Premium" player. I came back to the CoX world and realized, "Dang, going from VIP to Premium just ain't as skippy." So as of a few minutes ago I am all VIP'd again. However, I went into my character list and it said they were all still "locked" and I needed to spend points to unlock them again. As a VIP again shouldn't they all be unlocked like before?

Hands down, my favorite character to level has been my Arch/NRG. No question. The damage, the range, all of it. And getting her "Incarnatey" has been a TON of fun as well. And since they just keep adding stuff for 50's to do, she keeps having fun thwacking stuff. I tried the Corruptor and Controller versions, and hated them. Just not enough "ooomph". But Archery Blasters KILL! NOTE: I mean that literally as well as figuratively.

Well, Nazi's are pretty much the only group you can kill and not tick off very many (if any) people.

Ok, I have been out for a WHILE (been in a place that rhymes with Spytim, hee hee hee) and of course as soon as I get back I want to try the new SSA's. Ok, coolin. But after the last one I jot on over to Indep. Port and who is standing right there in front of me on the deck of that ship?? Has there been a Dev post on what is up with that? I thought they had the tech in place to make NPC's disappear depending on where you were in the storyline? Just curious.

Well. Perhaps I will give Smith a few more episodes then. Tennant just seemed "bigger" if you will. The first few Smith ones have seemed kinda small. If that makes any sense. I'll give Mr. Smith the ole college go at least.

I am having a HECK of a time getting into the new (for me) Smith seasons. Amy reminds me of somebody I know (she is a DEAD ringer for her), and his Dr. just seems off to me. I also don't like that he looks so young. I don't know how old he is, but he just looks young. Did it start slow for anybody else? And if it did, did it get better?

Is there a good synopsis of all the Dr's and their stories (not the minutia of helping this alien or that, but as their story relates to the whole of the Dr's) that I could read to sort of get cought up to the beginning of the "new" series? Like I said, I have finished 1-4 of the "new" seasons, but I read that there were things happening way back in the Tom Baker years (the ones I remember from my youth) and further back than that even that had an affect on the current incarnation, and logicly all of them. So some sort of "heres what you need to know" bit just to get me to where I am now.

For instance, because I can not actually remember specific episodes I watched of Tom Baker, but by watching the last regular episode of David Tennant, I learn that it was the 4th Dr. and Sara Jane who met the Dalek Creator (I assume for the first time). So I would like to get a bit more "cought up" to the now series'. Does anybody know if such a synopsis exsists? I imagine it would be pretty long, but for me, well worth it.

I also know (from the Wiki) that a lot of the episodes were destroyed (most of the first and second Dr's), but surely the stories of the shows were kept somewhere. I mean, I hope.

Oh and True Gentleman, I loved "The Next Dr." very much. Thought the writing was excellent. Whilst it was a hair predictable, it was still very enjoyable.
