Help with Cossie Change Macro pls

I've been struggling with a cossie change macro for Titanothere - I want to be able to click the button in my tray, say something, and then change costume with with an emote.

Sadly I'm pretty crap with binds and my search fu is weak so any help would be very welcome

/macro CC1 "local ZOMG LOOK AT ME CHANGE MY COSTUME!!$$cce 1 cclightning"

or

/bind X "local ZOMG LOOK AT ME CHANGE MY COSTUME!!$$cce 1 cclightning"

Note that if you are already wearing the costume the bind switches you to (1 in this case), or are still on the costume change cooldown timer, you will still do the speech part, but won't change costumes. There is no way to override this.

You can also use "group", "broadcast" or any other chanelname instead of "local". And don't forget the quotes - binds with $$ in them break if you forget the quotes when creating them.

Thanks. I intend to make two, to switch between them: "ACTIVATE: TITAN MODE!!!!" and then "Titan Mode: Deactivated." - he changes size between the two outfits but they are fundamentally the same.

A strange question: Would it be possible to add a way to make Unstoppable run when I do that? I have it in mind that it's not possible but it would be great

Note that activating a power and emote in the same macro or bind doesn't always work, animation-wise. The power may prevent the emote animation from playing, in which case it would look like you have just used a regular costume change, rather than a CC emote.

ok thanks. I've noticed that I'm not getting the correct costume slot to work. Everything else seems to work fine but it's not the first costume that is activating, it's the 2nd from left on the top row.

I'd presumed it was the $$cce 1 that determines the slot, and I've checked the macro. If that is not correct, what selects it? If it is, what's making it go wrong?

It is slot-1. The count starts at zero, not 1.

Reminds me of someone's concept, "AliceinParagon", a riff on Alice in Wonderland. It was a great costume that was enhanced all the more with custom binds that enlarged and shrunk the toon when she said something like "why does this say 'Drink me'" and "this cake says 'eat me'".

As an aside, I've got 5 slots open and a 6th slot says "Earn in Game" - I've got the halloween cossie... so how do I earn the last one? (that's technically #5)

Earnable in game are a total of four extra costume slots - one for the halloween Salvage at any level, and three via tailors (Heroside, Steel @ 20, IP @ 30, and Founders @ 40. Villains are Cap, Cap [other named NPC], and St. Martial)

If you're playing a VEAT, you also get a costume slot by doing your VEAT storyline missions at 10. Brick Johnson is the contact for that.

Huh, didn't realize that, as I haven't gotten that far with my VEATs yet. Is that new with Freedom and the expansion in available slots? Because my understanding was that VEATs used to be able to unlock the sixth slot and could even switch to it via /cc 5 command, but could not edit it due to unavailability at the tailor. Thus it was locked as a copy of your second costume forever.

Looks like we now start with 2 costume slots filled and 4 we can earn.... I'm guessing that's so VEATs can keep their original cossie.

Yeps just tested that and we now start with 2 costumes from initial creation. That explains why I thought I'd got 6 slots.

Um....no we don't. All of my characters have the appropriate number of costume slots (e.g. 1 at level 1, 4 at level 50, add one for Halloween if applicable). You apparently bought a costume slot from the Market at some point.

Actually, that is not entirely true. I had my five costume slots, then switched sides on my Crab. I was in IP changing my costume and the lady offered me the costume mission. I ran it and unlocked the sixth costume slot on my Crab. Not sure if this is working as intended, but I have 6 costumes for my crab now.
