Great, great, actor. I remember many a fun family night with Columbo. He will be greatly missed.

It looks like Jesse's being relegated to occasional resource/guest appearance status ala Barry and Nate. Kind of a shame, I liked him as part of the main group, but I'll take what I can get.
I'm a bit interested in this idea that the whole thing was a setup. Really, you raise some good points, but Burn Notice is also a "try not to think too hard about this" sort of show, so that may just be it crumbling under scrutiny. As far as I recall, John Mahoney's character still hasn't been dealt with, and I can't imagine they'd just drop him off screen between seasons, so I suspect that whatever they develop, he'll be playing into it.
Of course, I also wouldn't mind if they just go "okay, meta-plot over, we're gonna stick to the single episode stories from now on", as I tend to enjoy the drug-runner-of-the-week setup to the more extended stories anyway. -

Quote:I admit, I'm hard pressed to think of a superhero who I'd classify as using a "Titan Weapon". But it seems like a staple with "super strong" characters involves occasionally going postal with an extra-large chunk of the scenery. Since game mechanics don't really let us do both, being able to use it as a character theme works for me.Well I don't know about unpopular exactly. Off hand it seems a little more video-game/manga ish to me than comic book exactly, but in any case it sounds like the mechanic will be a lot of fun. I have to say, the railroad crossing sign is fantastic.
Of course, it could just be manga-bias, yeah, since I still see Eastern "superheroes" as being pretty super, and such. But there are plenty of staves there, too, yet "Titan Weapons" do feel more at home in the general mythos to me, for whatever reason. -
Thanks guys. That's great news, in my book.

I have an Axe Brute right now who uses Fury as a "momentum building" mechanic. Looks like I'm going to have to re-roll.
And though I think it'll be an unpopular opinion: I actually like this idea better than staves and lances, and I feel like it's a little closer, at least, to the super hero feel. Though I wouldn't be opposed to a couple of such weapons being included in the set. -
Quote:I've seen people use the "They didn't say we weren't getting it, so maybe we will." for many, many desired features (proliferation, notably, among them), for many, many issues. I have yet to see anyone ever vindicated. They just said today or yesterday that there's more coming in i21 that they didn't release all the info at once. And I'm not gonna buy your claim that absence of a thing confirms it's opposite.
You've ignored the first rule of prognostication. Avoid absolute positions.
Oh, it'd be nice, mind you, but it won't happen.
And the reason to forecast DOOOOOOM and similar things is that being proven wrong is a win-win scenario. If I'm wrong, you get to say "I told you so", and I get something nice that I wasn't expecting. Of course, we absolutely aren't getting any Proliferations with i21, so it doesn't matter anyway. -
Quote:Yeah, I'm planning to camp a few names I really want as well, I admit. I'm not too worried about my namesake; I figure 16th-century Spanish short stories are obscure and not "super-hero" enough that anyone who swipes it is really just that set on trying to steal/ruin my reputation, and probably deserves to meet their goal due to sheer admiration of their effort. That's a good point. I imagine there will be a name rush when it opens. Hmmm, I'll have to be ready so I can grab at least my namesake name.
...but I'll probably camp that one too, just in case. -

When Freedom hits, just go to the VIP server. All those good names that are already taken, and left stewing? Not taken there. All the good names that are left being taken by free players? Unclaimed.
That's the real magic of the new server. -
Quote:These really need to not be something extra to buy (at least not for those paying a monthly fee), as both systems are woefully incomplete as is.-New base items. I don't care if they're functional. The couches, wall pictures, etc. we see in some of the Praetorian offices would be nice.
-Recolorability for APPs/Epics
Quote:-The Steampunk sausage curls hairstyle for women without the hat (and vice versa), and the Organic Armor face, with all its awesome detailing, without the Organic Armor scaliness on it and with normal eyes (for shapeshifting characters)
-"Male" costume pieces for women. And, to be fair, "female" costume pieces for men. I'm looking at you, Renegade Hat and Baron Coat!
Quote:-New chest emblems that can (hopefully) be also used for SG emblems. -

Quote:To be fair, if you use time manipulation to send yourself into the future then you weren't in the present to sending into the future and all sorts off bad things happen and I get a headache.Oh look, I can control time, but can't effect myself with any of the powers, is lame
Actually, on that note, I totally want a power in this set now called "Paradox" which can be a single-target stun that deals Psionic damage. -
-
I'm a little surprised they didn't just skip putting it on Test and kick it straight to live, honestly. As far as I know, it's basically "done".
I think this coming Tuesday is extremely likely. -
Quote:The flip side, I think not letting it stack might be bad precedent. Are there currently any debuff powers that won't stack at least as many times as there aren't players to use 'em? I know Interface debuffs, for example, have an upper limit, but those are "bonus' debuffs. I can't think of any cases that are like "Only the first Benumb on the target works", and I think making a power set where that became the case might get frustrating for people.I would assume it would not stack, but maybe -3 lvls would be better. This would be nice against lvl 53 AV's and bring them down to lvl 50...
The fact that it'd be broken either way is why, while I love it concept, I don't suspect we'll see it. -
Another new powerset would make me happy (I just don't get as much mileage from support ATs), but I'm not going to get my hopes up until I see something in writing.

To be fair, all that story and characterization was then promptly tossed aside when the late game arcs and raids brought them back as the generic mustache-twirling evil mirrors from i1.

Well, First Ward is going to be Praetorian, and will hopefully be in the post-20, pre-50 stuff range. If the Devs have been particularly canny, they'll have found some way to link it back to the 1-20 Praetorian storyline.
