It was resolved...sorta. The ship in Craig's house was the same as the one the Silence were using in Day of the Moon. Then the Silence ordered themselves to their deaths, and 40 years later...no more Silence in Craig's house.

The Doctor even mentioned it when he steps out of the TARDIS to save Amy. "I've seen one of these before...abandoned. I wonder how that happened?"

To be fair, it doesn't really matter, because we know her ultimate fate. She could have more, but the body she's in now is the body she ends up in for good.

    Nope, doesn't work here either.

It was a good episode, nay, in most regards, it was a great episode, but still a little bit of a disappointment for a finale that's basically going to leave us hanging for two more years.

To be fair, the AoE, last I saw, is focused on the target, not the caster, so it doesn't make a whole lotta sense anyway. Unless that was fixed along with the "6 feet" change.

Given that Poison was also restricted due to hero/villain AT theme, and the fact that on one of the UStreams, someone (Synapse?) basically said "I don't see why not", I think the chances are pretty good.

That said, I have no major qualms with Pain as-is. But I'd definitely prefer the Regen toggle get passed around to all the ATs that get it, for a variety of reasons.

Washington doesn't. Kang, who appears in the next Responsibility arc, does, but his arc doesn't end the way Washington and Cleo's does.
  8. It's like this: by choosing the Loyalist option, you'll be able to access the "Power" contacts in the next zone, and continue working undercover for the Resistance on missions that you can't actually access without making a "Loyalist" choice. Hence, Calvin Scott encourages you to take the non-Resistance choice, because it will allow you to go "deeper undercover". Also, because he's a raging *******.

However, siding with Cleopatra is something non-******* Resistance would do.

Vanguard Maces would be Strong & Pretty.

I can't, but apparently the Vanguard scientists can, since they made a shield out of it.

  13. I have a few characters who are Vigilantes/Rogues for "in character" reasons, but that's pretty much it.

The fact that Vigilantes and Rogues can't access any of the other side's content outside of generic scanner/paper missions without a team of tagalongs is majorly disappointing. The fact that, even with a team, they are a limited as to what content they can do is disappointing. The fact that Vigilantes and Rogues can't do tourist tip missions without changing their alignment is disappointing. Everything about them feels, all in all, half-*****. The alignments exist only as a stepping stone between the real ones.

If all the content were indeed opened up to "tourist" alignments, that would be one thing, but as it is, it's not just that there's an advantage to remaining a Hero/Villain, but the fact that that Vigilantes and Rogues don't have any advantages. I don't keep my characters pure for the Merits, I keep them pure because they're not worth wasting the effort to change.

Of course they do, which is why, rather than put all the pieces people wanted in this pack, marketing will be announce the rest of the pieces, available in an additional purchaseable pack "because you demanded it!" in another coupla weeks, thus assuring people pay twice. It's genius!
  16. While I'm not, nor do I have the intention of going, free-to-play, this seems like something that should be seriously considered. Playing without enhancements is absolutely ineffective, generally, and I've already teamed with a couple folks who realized, all too late, that they were playing without any enhancements at all.

Allowing players to use enhancements they have already slotted, at the very least (if perhaps not the set bonuses they would get from them), would go a long way, I think. Just turn off the ability to craft or equip them.

The fact that the entire preview for the next episode involves an awful lot, but not a trip back to Nevada, seems to indicate that sticking River in the suit at the end of this past week's episode was a giant fakeout. But we'll see.

This is a really neat idea. I'm not sure it'd be enough of a buff in regular play, but it definitely reinforces the idea that FF is king of what it does.

I've come to the decision that the parts, themselves, work pretty darned well. Ran both parts of the Posi TF last weekend and the remade Thorns really just felt...right.

The problem is that we have our spritzy new sorcerers still lurking about in caves, sewers, and a buried city in desperate need of a vaccum cleaner. It's just not a very good match. The New!Thorns look decidedly like magical supervillains in the right environment, but in their most common ones, they leave one to wonder if they didn't just take a wrong turn somewhere.

Repulsion Bomb does not deal extra damage to "contained" enemies. It was made a specific exception when Castle upped the damage on it. Honestly, I'm pretty happy with the power overall. Making it a guaranteed mag 3 stun would require massively nerfing the recharge of the power, so I can't really get behind that. Changing the exception so it could benefit from Containment...yeah, that'd be nice.

Dispersion Bubble doesn't really need any buffs either. It's a great power for what it is. Force Bubble is also quite good for what it is, doesn't really need anything to my mind.

Defense debuff resistance on Personal Force Field and the ally shields would be a nice benefit. I could get behind that. Sorta like how Super-Reflexes gets extra debuff resistance because of its focus, Force Fields could get the same...yeah, that works.

A big -Regen/-Recovery to effectively make Detention Field into perfect stasis? Sounds like a great idea.

Repulsion Field I think would be okay if it didn't sap extra Endurance when it hit enemies. If that were taken away, it would be much more useful, I think.

Force Bolt is in biggest need of a buff, I think, and the power where buffing it could most turn the set around in terms of utility, I think. The knockback is nice, but it needs more. Either giving it Lift-esque damage or giving it a mag 2 stun (with enough duration that it's stackable, maybe) would be ideal.

Alternatively, I wonder if it would be possible with Force Bolt to give it multiple ranges, so that an enemy at max range would get the current effect, but say, if they get within 40 feet, there's a damage effect, and within 20, there's the stun? I know that with powers like Thunderstrike, they have a single target attack and an AoE attack with different effects, but I'm not sure they could the same with an 80/40/20 sort of range setup. It'd be a nifty execution though.
  21. On the one hand, I really like the flavor of all the SO and DO names. And it's not like set Inventions are any better. If I get an "Eradication" drop, I know what it enhances but not how to use it without looking it up. Plus, the enhancements are still ordered in the stores alphabetically by effect and color-coded. It's not too hard to figure out.

On the other hand, I do remember being a new player, and taking a while to learn these things. My first character was a Science origin, and figuring out that I apparently needed to expose him to Boron in some cases, and whatnot, was a little tricky.

Ultimately, I don't want to see the names dropped, but I do like the suggestion of adding what the enhancers do to the front of said flavor names.

Yes, NPCs will refer to you as "Powers Division" because they don't particularly know there's a Primal Earth with its own unlicensed supers and whatnot in the first place.

What a way to build me up and let me down!
But it's nice to have confirmation that the intention is to include them rather than hold them back and charge extra for them later. Hopefully we can see the Shard Cannon re-introduced then with them as well.

I am very pleasantly surprised by this. There's still missing ones, but we're making progress. Let's hope the rest of this is similarly taken care of properly.
