I seem to remember Zwil or someone else last week saying that this week's new stuff would be more stuff "appropriate to the event", or something similar, so I'm guessing more costume codes.

It's a good thing I'm the only person on staff at the office, these days.

I have an AR/Sonic. You set up, toggles on, shields up, let the ammo fly. If you've got a particularly hard target, toss out a Siphon at the beginning of the fight, and then maybe intermittently during recharge lulls. No redraw to worry about, still works great from range.

Not that it'd solve problems for Stalkers as a whole but I wonder if Hoarfrost or HPT could actually buff the HP cap for Stalkers, the same way Afterburner bumps up the flight speed cap? I think that would have the potential to increase their general utility.

Quote:As a note, I think it might be nice to simply replace Parry or Divine Avalanche with their sets respective PBAoE for Stalkers, but only for one or the other. This would allow the two sets to be a little bit more distinct. Of the two, I think replacing Parry would be more interesting, since it'd let Broadsword keep it's schtick of big up-front damage, while Ninja Blade got to be more effective in a scrapping situation.
Broad Sword - Replace Slice with Whirling Sword; swap places with Parry
Ninja Blade - Replace Flashing Steel with The Lotus Drops; swap with Divine Avalanche
On the whole, though, I like what you've had to say. -
Coming out of Hidden status with a bone-shattering CRUNCH! noise and the words EXECUTIONER'S STRIKE in friendly orange letters. Gets me every time.

I'm a fairly heavy solo'er, went Time/Rad, and have had a grand ol'time (no pun intended) with it. Jump into a group with Time's Juncture running, Irradiate, giggle like a maniac, repeat. For added fun, toss up a Distortion Field to keep enemies nearby, but crippled, Neutron Bomb at high levels for even more AoE goodness, and Cosmic Burst for hard targets.
Fun, fun combo, that made me feel as much like a Tank as I do a Defender...just without mez protection. You'll want a tray fulla Break Frees. -
When you get bumped to 50 on Beta, the Alpha slot is auto-unlocked, and you can buy Empyrean and Astral merits from their respective vendors for 1 INF apiece. However, this is still only minimally useful since a bump to 50 doesn't include any influence, nor is there a way for a bumped character to effectively simulate the effects of an IO build.

Saying they have a "long term plan" doesn't really mean anything, when they'll change it soon enough anyway. As mentioned in that thread by Memphis Bill that apparently was too hot for the forum (what the heck?), it seems that their nine issue plan for the future changes every two issues.

As I understand it, Interface has a chance to proc in anything that has an enhanceable damage effect. So, the easiest way to check would be to see whether damage enhancements affected spread damage. If so, then Interface should as well (or vice-versa).

I'd sorta pushed that out of my mind as a result of really just wanting to be done with any given Incarnate character as quickly as possible and not wanting to waste even Astrals when I could be thread-converting anyway. However, if all it takes is one spare Astral for this one character, that might be the way to go, especially since I could earn it through an SSA.

Access to the Roman set, the same way Vanguard already is. This to me would be far more desirable than capes or auras, simply because it's more potentially "theme-critical", to me at least. I'd say the same for a lot of the weapon unlocks as well.
-
On the one hand, I sort of prefer to keep doing the cape-unlocking arc (and the aura one for villains; the hero hunts are admittedly lame), and don't really like the idea of paying for something I can easily earn in game anyway, so I haven't paid for these.
On the other hand, my planned Titan Weapons/Regeneration character looks pretty freaking bad without his cape.
Decisions, decisions... -
Most interesting part of that article: "Autumnal Control/Autumnal Assault". Sounds like the first taste of a hint on what's coming for Dominators?

First time I saw this (actually last weekend, in a "suddenly, out-of-season Zombies!" in Talos), I thought my graphics card was glitching on a defeated enemy. Then I saw all of them spawning that way. Hooboy.
Not sure if it's a glitch (probably, since some of their animations look weird now), but it's pretty cool, honestly. -
My very rough estimate of what I'd seen of late was 1/3 commons, 1/3 uncommons, 2/9 rares and 1/9 very rares. Looks like what I see about matches what you've seen.

Nice. Sounds like my old death cult Mace brute (who I could never get into because all the maces were too small) is going to see the light of day again.

Quote:It can be bought through the character creator, but it doesn't actually show up in the store.Huh. I wonder how I managed to buy it on Beta last night, if it's not there?
Of course, I'm going to assume the beta store's probably still broken and I can't add points anyway. -
Depends how far along in the tiers you are. I could cancel and keep pretty much everything. The only thing in my case that I'd definitely and permanently lose access to is this mysterious "Incarnate System" people keep talking about.

Given that the problem with the raid grind is based on repetition rather than time taken, I'd say that it's not necessarily going to be the same problem. Then I remember that a 20 minute (if your the type that actually takes the time to read the text), three mission story arc is apparently worth $5 and realized that, yes, the solo path will be a grind too.

They're not. Whoever posted that on their Facebook page most likely did so in error.
