I've been her 4yrs and apart from build discussion, there is nothing on these boards I want to get into.
I tell new plays we meet in game or get to join to sign up to our coalition forums and stear well clear of these ones. -

You could loose 3-5% def for mele & aoe without noticing in almost all situations, including against AV's.
For my DM/SR I've just copied werner's build for av soloing, it makes a nicish team build but you have to pick your targets etc as having no mele cone or aoe's your pure single target. How ever you can dance around most AV's, GM etc without taking a scratch.
Oh and 1 sec off perma-hasten. But it's not exactly cheep, (I need 2 lotg's and the hetacomb proc to complete.
I'm respec'ing my 2nd build into a softcapped more natural build tonight, if it works I'll post it up.

My DM/SR expensive soling build sucks for team play as no travel power, 3 mele attacks all ST and nothing remotely team friendly. -
Hey guys, my WP/SS tank is an hour or two from lvl50 and I want to respec into a final build.
I will use the tank for TFs and freak farming. So either a build for both or a cheep farming build and a money no object TF build.
I already have most of the uniques (numina, regen tissue, kismet, steadfast +def) and a fair number of purples.
The issue I have when working with mids is I very quickly hit the cap on bonus's so some out of the box thinking would more than welcome. -
DM/Shield is easy to softcap, but it suffers from having much less resistance to def-debuffs, so agains a lot of things you softcap will fall away quite rapidly.

Thanks for the big up TRT, I have taken a grad total of 2 AV's with Dagar (DM/DA/BM). Battle-Maiden and Black Scorpion. I had to use empowerment buffs to do it along with a bucket of insps.
My DM/SR is going to be my AV basher when I have the inf for the full build.
I would go for DM over all the rest due to it having a heal as part of the attack chain. If you have enough +recharge (ie perma-hasten) you can go Smite -> siphon Life -> midnight grasp, rinse repete.
All the others will have to use aid self when they get hit (and it will be a when). This can still be iterupted even with the best slotting. Some av's have auto hits or un-typed attacks which can sometimes get through.
Claws and Fire will have higher base dps, but DM can keep a constant stream of attacks up.
claws/sr is the most common AV soloer going.
If you want a challenge, make DB/SR. Entirely workable and a bit unusual.
All of these will need a bucket of IOs though -
With MA coming soon you'll be able to add a fair bit of difficulty.

I have been thinking of dropping Foc Acc and taking tictacs instead. But I already have 4 power pools so would have to loose CJ.

You can try WP with an supidly expensive build, but a cheap stone tank will survive plenty well enough. The anvantage with WP is you can move....
Having said that, there is a place for INV. -

I plan on using an adjusted Sergei build from Werner for my DM/SR which only has 3 mele attacks and LBE. Just waiting to get the rest of the required IOs.
I might try dual Building Dagar to try and get a second build with 35+% defence to see if it's workable. -

Having said that, using titanium coating instead of impervium would reduce the cost by 150-200mil
Although studying that build more, how does the attck chain play nightmarer? I assume you have to used the ranged attacks in mele?
I've got 1 more pure attack, 33% global recharge and hasten. I still get the ocasional gap in my attack chain.

If you splash the INF you can softcap a SR brute reasonably easily without gimping the build.
If you are on a tight budget you may have to make sacrifices. -

Can you not buy a key off of the plaync site and let him know it? or will they only let you apply it to the account of the person who buys it?
I bought one once from gamersloot.net for a mate who was skint. They emailed it to me about 3hrs later. Although their site is now showing certificate errors so I would treat with caution. -
Dagar took me 2 years and about 1300hrs, but he was started back when /DA was blinding difficult to work with at low levels. Must be coming up to 2500hrs now.
Larac was 800hrs
Dagar Blonstaff took me 130hrs
Rian my was about 65hrs
Micky Serendipity my WP/SS tank in on course to take just over 60hrs too. -
What sort of time did the pylon take you?
I can do the DPS to take one on my DM/DA, but like most AVs being rez based I can't take them without purple insps.
