  1. D'oh!!
Damn work getting in the way of proper forum scanning time.
I'll have a look at that thread.

    Thanks
  2. Hello

Now it looks like street justice is live (and I only have an hour of work left), I suppose I better start thinking about a new character. I have something in mind, but I'm torn between scrapper/brute and possibly 3 secondaries.

    So, choices are:
SR - easy to cap defence, but that's pretty much all it has.
WP - got an MA/WP scrapper, so not sure it would be much different
Inv - Got an Inv/SS Tank - not tried it on brute or scrapper

Don't want shield as I don't think it would mesh well.

Any good synergies from those that tested it?
    Any thoughts?

    Thanks
  3. I remember hitting the level to finally get the flight pool open. In my haste I took 'Air Superiority' without reading the description. Took me a long time to figure out why I couldn't fly

Old school Hollows and multiple trips ot Atlas hospital on route to missions

Trying to be clever by slotting various TO's in my scrapper powers. Really useful ones like taunt etc as I didn't know anything about enhancements. Wondered why every other player managed to survive longer than I did in every fight.

    A new desktop pc

Can't say I'm familiar with cyberpower. The system builder looked a bit messy
As much as it pains me, you'll probably be better off with getting a pre-built as it'll include the monitor, keyboard and an operating system.
The PC World machine is pretty old, so it's not going to have much of a shelf life.
What else would you use it for? Any other games etc?
  5. Lady_McDeath

    A new desktop pc

Please don't go to PC World.
If you're from the UK (Union is your home so I'm guessing you are), you should try webites like scan.co.uk and overclockers.co.uk
Do you currently have a PC that you could salvage parts from?
If so, then overcockers do some very good bundles (CPU, MB and RAM). For £400 you could get a very good pc put together if you already had the peripherals (screen, mouse, keyboard etc).
Building is pretty easy, the hardest part is picking the components you want (so much choice)

    Bafs with no lag

The patch last night has improved my gameplay no end! Load times came down, no lag...It was like playing another game!
No crashes either, so maybe my AMD drivers are ok and the crashes were due to lag spikes? (that's probably wishful thinking).
  7. Hello

Have you tried to run chkdsk? If you run that it should give error numbers fr any bad sectors etc. Note these down then you can do searches to see how bad the issue is.
Samsung do a really good service on returns. I had one go bad and received a new one within a week of sending it back.

Not sure how computer savvy you are, so aplogies if you know how to run chkdsk, if you don't know how:

    1.Open "Computer" window
2.Right-click on the drive in question
    3.Select the "Tools" tab
    4.In the Error-checking area, click <Check Now>.
  8. Hello

Bit of a longshot, but are you running asus smartdoctor or any other programs for overclocking the graphics? I had a lot of hard locks etc on various games (including city) and tracked it down to Asus smartdoctor. I also had some issue with MSI afterburner, so now all I use is CCC.
  9. Thanks Adeon.

So....based on that it sounds like it's the equivalent of Lightning Reflexes (20% recharge).
I need to have a look on mids and see the effect lightning reflexes has on Hasten. With Hasten, Lightning Reflexes and maybe 30% recharge from IO's I'm thinking I could drop the Spiritual and take Ageless instead. I could then take Musculature which benefits damage on the other Incarnate slots. It could be a win-win.
  10. Hello

I'm bored at work and have been planning out what slots I want for various toons.
I currently have the Spiritual alpha (recharge), but I'm now wondering if I could swap it out for Musculature if the recharge from Ageless (tier 4) would be better than the alpha.
I'm completely useless at maths, but looking at the figures it looks like a permanent boost to recharge which would also boost hasten, and compliment the IO set bonuses.

Any number crunchers out there that can shed some light on spiritual vs alpha?

    Thanks
  11. Hi all,

I've done a quick search but couldn't find any discussion on this.
Basically, the devs have hinted that we may get new pets as part of the lore slot. At the moment there are 4 slots with different salvage to create each pet. If they introduce different pets, will there be new requirements to craft?
    For example:
If I had the IDF pets crafted to level 4 on my lore slot, would I then need to run the trials again in order to gain new salvage to then switch my pet to something I do actually want, and may fit my theme better?

I just don't know whether to hold off and see what happens, or just slot a pet up that has absolutely nothing to do with my character.

    Any thoughts?
  12. Best Name - Lady McDeath (Being Scottish I can just add 'Mc' to the start of any name) - ties in nicely with a certain Scottish play as well

Best couldn't be bothered thinking of a name - Carrie Ohn (must have been drunk)
  13. Hi Folks

For anyone who was on the League I formed last night, I do apologise. Miss Scotland set up a league (which I'd never done before), then accidently pressed the Lambada (or whatever) trial. Spotting my mistake I then declined to enter thinking this would reset. What actually happened was everyone else accepted and I lost my place in the league. Noob mistake if ever there was one.
    Anyway, hope it went well
  14. This explains a lot. I've only ran 3 BAF's on one toon. She's sitting at 33% on the judgement slot. I figured I'd have to run it 18 times to unlock both slots at that rate, whereas I'd heard stories of people unlocking the slots after 5 runs!!!
    This needs to change.
  15. Sometimes it's down to bad runs of luck. I was so downhearted the other night as I faceplanted 7/8 times on an ITF. Never happened on my 'shade before.
I do think the mez needs looking at. When I press my relevant key to shapeshift into Lobster, I expect to shapeshift not stand staggering around as the mez just hit at the exact time I press my key. Sooooooooooo frustrating especially as I'm then poised to hit my first attack etc. Totally throws me off and usually ends up with faceplact. Grrrrrr.
I do love my warshade though
  16. Why am I always busy on DXP weekend

    This new initiative sounds grand.
I want desperately to do a Hami raid on Defiant. Attempted one once and it failed badly.

I shall be in Pocket D tonight though. I'm excited
  17. Hmmmmmm, I've been reading these discussions with great interest and I can see a pattern.
I play nowhere near as much as I used to due to other commitments. I'm probably in the 2 hours a night 2/3 times a week bracket. I like to solo, but I also like to team. I have ran a lot of TF's during my short window of play and I really can't see where all the worry about not having enough time is coming from (this is of course my own view).
As far as I can tell (correct me if I'm wrong), the incarnate system is for END GAME content. I've heard people state that their 50's are beasts and can run everything, but now that the incarnate slot is out suddenly they can't???? The incarnate slots are for high end content at the END i.e the Apex TF. So far this is pretty much the only use for the Alpha slot and it is a TF/SF. The soloers do not play this, so why the concern?
This is really the first development for end game content. If this is successful, then no doubt their will be more solo end game content added.
I think folks just have to relax and see what comes out.
As an aside, Trapdoor is soloable. Many have solo'd him. If you can't, well maybe it's a problem sitting between keyboard and monitor.
  18. Hi guys

Yeah I think it was just an awful group. Never been beaten to that extent though, so maybe there was a hidden challenge. The team were wandering off. I think the leader disappeared for a period of time whilst they changed the rep, right in the middle of a mission!!! There were some lazy ones as well who didn't go to hospital when the rest of the team did. I'll chalk it up to a bad team experience.
The annoying thing was the amount of damage I could pump out when I didn't have to tank. I was ripping through the romans with my lovely squid attacks.
The group eventually gave up as we couldn't even take out the control panel.

I knew it couldn't be anything to do with my wonderful warshade
  19. Hi all

This is just a general point and query on the effectiveness of Resistence against those dodgy romans (what did they ever do for us?).

I took part in an ill-fated ITF with a PUG at the weekend. I was on my tri-form with perma-eclipse. Team consisted of 2 brutes, a 'troller, 2 scrappers, a blaster and myself. There were 8 originally, but 1 dropped and never came back (very wise as it turned out).
We were up against +1/+2's. I was constanly at my res cap in my lobster form, but it was just faceplant after faceplant. I couldn't even take on a group of 5 without getting whittled down to death in the space of 10 seconds. Is this normal?? I know resistance is 85% cap on 'shades, so if an enemy hits for say 1000 points damage, only 150 should get through? Is that correct, or does the higher enemy do more damage. I'm not sure of the resistance scaling.

It basically felt like perma eclipse was kind of redundant.
Any thoughts? It's my first real heavy defeat with my beloved tri-former of death
  20. Hi

    Thanks for the feedback.
I mainly use subdue as a mule power for the recharge. I may have a look at what's available though ans see if I can shift some stuff.
The kismet idea is something I should look at.

Infini, if you get the musculature can you let me know how it goes? I think more damage is probably more use to me, if I'm already perma.

    Thanks
  21. Hi

    Thanks for the responses.
I'm definitely sticking with shadow meld. Had to jump full villain, then do the arc just to get it.
I'm thinking that with the defence I can build through sets, plus the recharge that I can be pretty survivabe (does that sentence make sense? it's early).

Has anyone got experience of the damage boost alpha? Would it be my best bet, or does recharge matter more? I'm not good at the math
  22. Hello all

Got my dominator sitting at level 47 (deleted my first one, d'oh!!).
I have got permadom, but I still have room for improvement. Also, with the new alpha slot, is it recharge all the way, or would it be better to go for damage?
Any advice, or thoughts as to where I could gain extra?

I have all the sets so far, but still have cash to spend so may be able to swap some things out.
Ultimate goal is trying to get drain psyche perma, just no idea where to put extra slots etc. Defence is a bonus though.

    Thanks

  23. Hi folks.

Brought my first level 50 out of retirement, and have finally started speccing her with IO's. Now with the the alpha slot out as well, I need help with my build.
This is what I have so far, and I'm trying to balance defence and recharge.
    Any criticism more than welcome.
Also, should I go for the damage alpha, or stick to the recharge/health one? Depending on this choice, can I change anything else.
I have around 200 mill to spend, and have got quite a few of the sets already.

    Thanks

  24. Lady_McDeath

    Hamidon?

    Hello

Is this still on? I would like to do one as I never have (5 years+ and still not done one).
What time? Will the farming be a few hours before?

    Thanks
  25. Hi folks

I have my own villain SG where I can swap enhancements betwenn toons etc etc, however I don't have the same on hero-side.
Are there any good hero sg's willing to take on a few of my toons?
I'm not as active as I used to be (new house, still decorating), but hopefully that'll be changing.

    Thanks
