Having 3 kids and a wife this is proberly the last post i will have till after christmas So i want to take this chance to say thank you to some people who have made this game great for me over the last year. Some good point's and i see why you need the better armour being a melee blaster. Ive only ever had the ice armour but have noticed a big differnce fighting blasters with the electric armour. They do seem to take a lot more damage. That said Hibernate make's up for the lesser armour IMO but i can see you dont have much room in your build to change things haveing so many needed powers. And i guess Hibernate wouldnt be in your play style either.

One quick question. I Think i read somewhere that wirlwind will only cause knockback once every 20 seconds. Is this right? Is this the same for all powers with knock back?

Just how many controllers you planning on making dude!!??

from what ive read on the fourms you need power boost from /eng to make the end drain any good. It boost's the secondary effects form your powers such as end drain from electric.

Why go with Electric epic? I can understand other blaster's because they want the hold but being ice you already have a great hold in freeze ray. Do you really need two holds? I would either keep electric and then drop freeze ray and take ice bolt. Or change to cold epic. With ice blot you would stand a chance in a ranged battle against another blaster. I have cold epic with my ice/device blaster. If i was to slap snow storm on u or web nade you become grounded, while i hover above you. All your great melee atacks become usless. It becomes a ranged battle which you wont win with just ice blast and bitter ice blast. That said ive built my blaster to be good against blaster's. Against scrappers and tank's i would struggle.

I know nothing about Mind but as far as storm go's you have gave me alot to think about. Your use of DefDebuffs look's great, letting you slot with with 1 acc instead of two. I will deffo try this out with my Grav/storm. Next free respec i was planning to drop con. pool for med.pool Which I hoped would give me edge over spine scrappers with FA. The only scrapper ive had problems with. The only problems i can see u haveing is that you cant see invis Foes( correct me if im wrong). Im thinking that a blaster form range with invis could maybe use aim build up and snipe. Then follow up with a couple of attacks. Maybe before you could use your self heal. The other thing is all your DefDebuffs work on grounded foe. Im guessing you use levitate to bring em down but with only 1 acc SO in it theres a chance u could miss. By that time it might be to late. That said it looks a great build and im deffo gonna change a few things with Lady white. With lady White i use tactics power slotted with 3 tohit buffs. Useing your build storm wise you think i could get away with no ACC SOs im my powers? I would still slot my crush with a ACC SO(even with tactics) to make sure i got the blaster etc grounded. Yes had a great time. Only for the copy tool playing up and it being christmas i think a lot more would have turned up. I think this could be a weekly/fortnightly event. I know i wouldnt miss it, if it was a weekly event.

They can and its great fun. Problem is people dont like getting beat. They play this game and get used to beating 3/4 and more in a mish on their own. They get used to winning and they like it. Then they go to the arena and get pawned againt 1 person. rather than think what they lear'nt from the fight they say stuff that. Rather than adapt they go back to fighting stupid NPC's. Sry if this sound's a bit harsh but i love the arena. Its the reason i play this game and IMO the PvP would be far better if more people showed an interest. Take a beating and learn from it. Talk to who beat you. ask why i could,nt hit you, ask why i could'nt see you, ask what i can do to see you etc. most people who play alot of arena would love to have more of a challange. They are nice people and would love to offer advice and talk about builds. So give it a chance you never know you might like it

to be honest i like it as it is. If u solo alot, you realise how good it is. It has saved me a lot of times and a lot of fun trying to run on low heath with the extra damage. In a big team against big Mobs its not so good as you are either dead or alive. So the only change i think would be better is the one i came up with above

Panic button= let the blaster die= instant Nova = everyone else live's= a hell of a laugh

Why not go for earth/kin then u cant get away with no travel power. with a Electric,kin defender and a earth/kin controller thats a lot of end drain. Plus hold resist speed boost's and heals. i reckon if worked togeather you could drain all the end form most peeps. Two siphon speed on a scrapper would make him usless. Good way to drop hurricane on a stormie aswell.( 2 end drain's) Just a thought

Unfornalty Gat cant make it tonight as he cant get test working But on a brighter note we had our little match and all I want to say on the matter is ICE/DEV/COLD= Blaster killer . I would love to get a few more match's v blaster's so send me a tell if interested.

with my ice/device,s blaster i have aim slotted with 3 tohit buff's and same with TD and tactic's. i can get at least 6 attacks out before aim drop's. This is enough acc and damage to cut through the debuff's and kill the target. So blaster FTW

why not go with spines and take the fear pool? Best of both worlds.

I think the term "squishies" need's to be looked at. Sure doing missions and stuff the defender controller and blaster could be called squishies. But once you eneter PvP I would say a good controller or blaster are for from squishie. I would even go as for to say they are the best 1v1 anyway. So i dont think they should get any extra rep points etc.

don't have time to have a good look at your build at the mo but u need two acc SOs in your powers. and i wouldnt put recharge in your pet. (3 hold and 3 damage). I would drop TP and take speed pool. u need hasten. Going to bed now, might have another look in the morning

Ok. 1st of stalkers arn't the only build you have to change things for. SR scrappers, Rad defenders( extra acc needed), illusion rollers(confuse) tanks you need to have toggle droppers and thats just to name a few. Every hero/villain type has a kind of foe who they will struggle against. Where's the fun in being able to beat everyone. With my blaster ive been able to defeat everyone ive come up against in siren's call and i hate it to be honest. I love facing stalkers as i have TD, tactics and cloaking device. i can see em all from afar. Web granade brings em down(-fly) and its easy pickings after that So if you hate stalkers that much make a ice/devices blaster. slot aim tactics and TD with 3 tohit buffs and you wont miss a thing.

Grav pets cant be confused, just like PA and Animated Stone, those are the only pets i know of that cant be confused directly. As for MMs i know ninjas have a res to confuse but i dont think the other sets do

Ive had my grav pets turn on me before. Not sure if i was confused or my pets. Was when i had 3 sing's and was'nt pretty

To be honest i think a lot of the time villains cant get out of their base due to large numbers of hero's waiting outside. A random teleporter might be a idea in each base. You step into it and you take a chance as to where you get teleported to on the map. Would give peeps a chance to get out of their base without getting killed by the waiting mob.

The arena would be a good way of seeing how well villains do against heros. Ive had a few fights against em in the arena but i was always exemp down to their lvl. A 8v8 would be good fun.

The first thing a good blaster/controller PvPer would do is hit you with a ranged -fly( i would anyway) Making your whole flight pool a waste of time. Hover, fly ,AS(meele range) all become usless with one ranged attack. I would go with TP foe myself.

Best advice i can give is to team and think whats best to get to keep you alive. Two travels are handy to have. One to keep you of the ground and another to get you out of harms way if anyone uses a -fly power on you(TP maybe) Invis and P.shift will help you aswell. Tactics is also good as it enables you to see foe's useing invis. Apart from that dont stand still even for a second
