HA! I couldnt see that until I highlighted it. NICE! Intended?

Hmmm... your probably right. Really never checked the in-game numbers, but it seemed to help, or at least while active.
  3. Just as a side note: it also mules another Performance shifter proc for me.
  4. Given the mathematics are correct (I'm sure they are). The incarnate powers, interestingly, seem to float b/w, at best, the average passive power with only the first slot slotted to, at worst, average passive power taken and not slotted. Or is that just me? Note that this is more of a generalization than a mathmatical truth.

**Edit: never mind, my speculation seems to wrong especially if a power is "fully" slotted.
  5. I found MA/regen to be more viable. MA is nice due to its burst power and stuns. /SR can be difficult due to well slotted build-up. I just assume ill be hit and use reconstruct dull pain to shake it off. But like the others state other AT's (stalkers if u wanna stay melee) can be better suited.
  6. Aett is correct. Im doing spirit on my Stone/DM. I got the alpha and will start making both available branches and upgrade them as issues come out, columnating to Core Paragon, but if I like the others you can always not make the paragon or make the paragon and start up the other side of the tree to have both. Switching out as necessary to "channel your incarnate powers."

You also have to remember that to make any *one* paragon you need to use any *two* uncommons. You'll have to make more than one anyway. I think.
  7. Since the thread doesnt specifically state, I'll ask this Q here. Any advise for alpha slot for DM/SR. Initially, I thought of cardiac because of the buffs one can get from the radial branch (seem to go well with DM). I also thought about spirit for extra healing and rech is never bad, but I already have 192.5%. I also considered Nerve to possibly save on slotting and or a power like CJ. Cardiac, no real need for it. I'm soft-capped to all, perma- soul drain, and end is no prob: 3 per. shifter procs, all end giving uniques, and dark cosumption, and conserve power.

    Any opinions?
  8. I know I said earlier that I would wait and see what i19 had to offer the set, but I dont think my opinion is going to change. I dont care how much regen the set gets. What kills me is the overwhelming debuffs stacked on me (esp -recharge) so I dont have access to tools. If the set would replace IH's regen with a burst power that would a least remove all debuffs (or add that to MOG) - and make it on a fixed timer (not if given to MoG mind you), that would be the stuff. Your getting beat down, they are all over you- debuffed to all get out, and then you find it within yourself to get a resurgence of power throw them all off you and bang! Your back in it!
  9. I'll get back to this thread after my ma/regen sits under the Spirit [Bodhi] Tree with i19 and attains enlighenment to his *core*.
  10. With my melee toons I probably wouldnt have too much of a prob with it. As long as peeps understood that KB, w/o walls around, effects melee utility a lot.

That said, I would make use of walls and any other object to controll the distance of the KB, it is great mitigation and controll if used correctly. I'd also try to specialize in "rag-dolling" enemies through fences, closed doors, forcing heads through walls and stone and watching bodies writhe around... that's just good fun there.
  11. With moving some slots around from Tough and Aid Self and taking the time to save merits for a Gladiator unique, you could eventually put 2 more slots in Battle Agility for 3 cytos and one more mito in active def. you could run capped to all positions and capped DDR. Active Defense would need to be stacked x2, tho and with sufficient lvl HO's (possibly requireing >50's). My fire/shield is does this, but at the sacrifice of regen and and hp. Cant wait for Spiritual Core Paragon.

Think of opening the alpha slot as opening the option of crafting a zero-endurance-using temp power that, once slotted, will act - globally - as described. Note that it wont add functions to powers that dont already have those options (wont add -def to dark melee, for example). IDK if they will allow more than one or if swapping out and how freely/often will be allowed. I'm hoping we can have multiple and these will be ajustable on-the-fly (or with in a few minutes, but if not I dont care. I just like the whole thing ).

DM/SR - Musc.radial paragon - I have ~200% recharge already and good end management. I look forward to the -to hit and other buffs.

Fire/SD scrap and stone/dm tank Spiritual Core Paragon.

I'll use Incarnate powers like IO's: add flavor to the builds, highlight strenths, and shore-up weaknesses. In a game like this when you cant summit the mountain ("win"), I can at least make my toon *fit* enough to climb indefinately!
  14. I see some senerios then:

    1. Avoident- Violence present: run away or toggle phase shift - not useful

    2. Christian/Ghandi- Violence present: actually buff the attacker and take it - semi-tank like

    3. Fighting Monk(?)- Violence present: I'll use only that amout of force to defend myself and/or get away - no sharp intruments, decisive use of humiliating force as a teaching intrument - no death = no xp. except on teams. This pacifist is meh, IMO. I don't like it.

    4. Doctor/Altruist- Violence present: prevent injury too and aid those injured - but only on *my* team - meh, again bastardized.

I dont think this is going to work well, but I like the ideas thrown around
  15. Tank as a taunt-bot. Take the 1st power in the secondary as required but dont use it, Select a primary that has no or dont take/toggle a damage aura and simply taunt and maybe "soft controls" like fault or hand clap for 0 damage stuns. I would be an ideal pacifist... "Please, hit *me* not them." Useful? Dunno, probably could be.

    W/e u decide - Best of luck leveling...lol

With a penalty of looking like the target and being mistakenly targetable by your teamates (confusion).

    So, what's left?

Blasting primary or secondary: I like the idea of throwable weapons: knives, boomerangs, shrikens, etc. mentioned above

Melee primary or secondary: Pole arems and whips and radiation melee (but I think we got KM for this)

Controll sets: Animal Kingdom Guard dogs, tigers, bears, fruit bats!! (or heck all kindoms: spores, animals, virus, etc) - with a tier 9 of being drawn and quartered by four large elephants. (put insects and other "natural" stuff here, too)

Less seriously: Chaos blast - to randomly alter the costume of the target and random effects.

Slightly more seriously: altering hurl animations to hurl random objects not just rocks. Was requested in other thread as a response to alternate animaitions, but I want to keep it fresh in the minds.

Continued efforts to proliferate sets as appropiate
  18. I go by TP as well. IMO, it's best to bind the power selection to something easy to hit.

    Example: /bind <key> to powexec_slot 8

I usually use the [shift] key, then left click when the bullseye is on the destination. (oh, and make sure the TP self power is in slot 8 . Also, sometimes I get a weird bug that I have to remap #1 key with the same /bind command back to slot 1; I dont understand why, but it works out in the end)

    Km q

I dont have mid's atm to check, but that sounds like the buff after using Power syphon with one hit (stacks to 5).

For performance, I'd go with /shields. I dont like the one-armed animations so I went with /SR. The extra rech is so-so; attacks already recharge well. A good attack chain is easy to get with minimal investment, and PS should already be recharging well with c. strike.

    Active Defense

I'm currently slotting 3 50s in active defense and with 3 lvl50 cytos in Battle agility and running grant cover, I get 92.57% (iirc) DDR if AD is double-stacked. I have mental problems Werner related, but not the inf, yet. I'll consider adding a forth (for a 50) slot vs using 51++'s. I guess to answer your question if you really want that magic 95% DDR with only 3 slots you'll probably have to use higher level Hami's in all spots. I think this maybe part of the reason Castle adjusted the DDR values for the set: still possible to cap, but now even MOAR marginal.
  21. Reminds me of...

Bugs Bunny: "Yuck yuck yuck... Only a fool would go after the Singing Sword" [let alone an entire herd of them] yuck yuck yuck."

and you saw it here, next primary and secondary sets for Elmer Fudd control: Spear and Magic Helment- "Yes, magic helmet and I will give you a sample."

    J/K, looks awsome, cant wait.

No it isn't, but do w/e is most convenient and least likely to interfere with your work. Thanks.
  23. I would vastly prefer -recharge resistance to -regen in Regen and it makes thematic sense.

I expect the green bar in Regen to be ebbing and flowing. Regen's strenth, IMO, isnt flat-out regen anymore. It is *burst response* to damage (burst or otherwise). In order to maintain a more consistant availability of its tools (recon, MoG, Dull Pain (or whatever), and IH), -recharge would make this very thematically consistant: get me my tools back and consistantly. This has nothing to do with getting them back faster via hasten. Needed? No.

Willpower, on the other hand, would benefit from -regen because although it can get extra mitigation more easily from other sources, its main source is regen. Needed? No, because extra mitigation is much more readily available.
  24. I use a system in between Lothic's marketing and running missions:

    1. Do your Hero/Villian mission for one A-merit every two days
    2. Do TF's as often as you can
    3. Craft and/or sell everything that drops - some marketing here
    4. Buy A-merits at the 50 merit + 20mill = 1 price (every day to every other day)
    5. 35 A merits in 24ish days for an assured Gladiator unique? YES PLZ!
    6. Yes, Does require some time in game (1-2hrs a day?)

(Note: this seems to be about the same as 4 weeks of marketing at 1bill/week - and more fun. One assured *rare* IO in 4-5 weeks- working as intended? IDK. Any comments?)

Edit: I'm not saying you will get 1-2 A-merits daily. With market turn-around and missing a daily TF here and there, you can *average* 1-2 A-merits a day. And that it seems one rare recipe a month is what they are shooting for.
  25. Newest scrapper challenge: get a team 7 others with some combination of MMs, Doms or Trollers + yourself(8)...
