If I recall, the only way Darkest Night would cause something to run away is if it breaks their morale due to their inability to hit very well...
But alas I'm not familiar with Romulus, I think the only time I fought him was on my Archery/Energy Blaster and was about a year ago... So I don't know what would cause him to run away (Unless they still haven't fixed the broken AI that makes things run away for stupid reasons, there is a thread somewhere about it...) -
/Cold's Weaknesses:
Single target only until 35
More expensive to perma-PA
Is possible to have everything run out of Sleet
No Accelerate Metabolism to help while leveling
That's about all I can see, Ill/Rad will be easier to level up, team with and to slot up wheras Ill/Cold will be better against single, tough targets after getting alot of recharge. -
If you want a Poison or a Trick Arrow MM combo then I recommend:
Necro/Poison (I have one, lots of -tohit to stack)
Bots/Trick Arrow (I have one, look at all the -Res, Oil Slick Arrow and Incendiary Missiles... Then clean up the mess you just made in your trousers)
Ninja/Poison (My brother has one and hunts AV's with high single target damage and crippling debuffs) -
Musculature Radial Paragon on my Rad/Sonic because:
Damage is good.
Radiation Infection uses both defence and tohit debuffs.
Accelerate Metabolism uses End mod and run speed.
My travel power consists of Sprint + Ninja Run so more speed is nice.
Better stamina will help with all my toggles. -
Quote:Hmm... I'm not familiar with Hami-O usage (Thus none of my builds ever having one) or the price, but in my build I've put the 3 Enzyme Exposures in RI now and also moved an accuracy from Lingering Radiation (Since I always use it after RI, and I don't need 190% accuracy with a 50% defence debuff) and put in a Dark Watcher chance for recharge slow into RI (It looks like RI will be my iwin button...)Not a mistake, as I'm not sure how keen on HO's you are, but I'd suggest swapping the three Endurance Reductions in:
Level 1: Radiation Infection -- EndRdx-I(A), EndRdx-I(3), EndRdx-I(3), Achilles-ResDeb%(46)
For three Enzyme Exposure Hami-O's. It'll have a similar endurance use, but also debuff tohit and defense to silly amounts. -
Yeah for healing I'd go with Thermal over Pain Dom.
Not that there is anything wrong with Pain, it's just that the resists in Thermal give alot of breathing room when trying to react (Especially as a MM, as the lowest tier of minions usually die from being looked at oddly from a butterfly across the room... If you are using them as meatshields.) -
Well I got the sleep for a cheaper Purple set and because if I'm soloing it could be nice for some problem enemies that say "Screw you" to -tohit or can make me run out of end.
That and my only experience of /Sonic when building was reading the Blaster board and that Siren's Song + Screech was awesome for survival... -
I used to use Team Teleport for getting my Zombies and Ninjas into melee. Unfotunatly teleporting to range just means my ranged pets spend even more time running into melee range to shoot things/throw balls of fire at things.
-
So I made a Rad/Sonic Defender and it is awesome. I love clicking 1 toggle and having an entire group be unable to hit me/my team.
I'm going for this build (Will be replacing Fitness with Mutation, Fallout and Venegance in I19)

Was also looking at the Musculature Radial Paragon for the alpha slot. Perhaps a Spiritual until I get another purple set for perma-hasten.
Also feel free to point out any glaring mistakes I have made in my build (I probably have made at least one...) -
Quote:They don't stand back because of a fix made to the melee pets to stop them standing at range cycling their crappy ranged attacks. Why they dont stand back and keep firing like they used to do...
...so.... any other masterminds suffering from this problem of "punch happy pet AI" syndrome?
Yes... I refuse to play either of my Thugs/Traps until I can without getting frustrated. -
If the poisons are made in a lab then it would depend on the method of dispersion:
If the character uses some sort of armour mounted technology that sprayed the poison then it would be tech.
If the character has had experiments done so that they can store and spray it using their own body then I would say science.
If they are just carrying around vials of the stuff then it could be science/natural. -
I'd go for a couple of Protector Bots and a couple of Demons.
I'd call the Hellfire Gargoyle "Tanky" -
The only reason I can see to not use trops is if they are making things run out of Gauntlet range...
...and are surviving long enough to get to other people. -
Hmm...
Here is what I've found to be nice pairings (In no particular order):
Ninja/Dark
Thugs/Traps
Bots/Traps
Necro/Dark
Merc/Storm
Demon/Therm
As you can tell, I like /Dark and /Traps...
If I was going to pair them off without any repeats I'd probably say:
Ninja/Dark
Thugs/Pain
Bots/Traps
Necro/Poison (If you can handle the single target nature)
Merc/Storm
Demon/Therm -
When I did that mission on my Widow one of my clones had elec control with the gremlins and another had Robotics MM set and summoned 2 drones and a protector bot (Level 12-17 summon amounts, at over 20) and one had SS I believe.
I don't think it likes cloning people... -
-
Deleting Goldbrickers and low level CoT Ghosts would make it so much more fun for me.
Making more missions in offices/warehouses than in Caves/Sewers.
Make it easier to get contacts so I don't need to do the Newspaper/Radio missions to get a proper contact.
More interesting dialogue in missions (The newer missions have their minions saying things like in my sig)
If you couldn't tell I mainly play villains... -
Quote:My guess is Gladiator's Armour: TP Protection and +3% Def (Resist set) bought using Alignment merits. Assuming that the Steadfast Protection: Resistance and +3% Def is slotted aswell in the build.Hey, sorry, I don't know a "ton" about some things with IO's yet and I'm just getting back into this game so I need to refresh up...lol, but what PvP IO are you referring to that is really helpful for a Shield Scrapper? And you can save up "merits" to get this IO? Are they those story arc merits that you can redeem from merit vendors? I'm wondering because I have a shield scrapper who desperately needs a bit more defense than he currently has
OT: I've made a KM/Regen Scrapper and I wasn't impressed, probably because I don't like Praetoria...
Power Siphon gave me a noticable damage boost (I didn't have enough recharge or attacks to do alot with it at the level I got to)
The -Damage I didn't notice though... but I hadn't got burst to do it in an area.
If you want to make a KM/Shield, you should try making a KM/Shield rather than a KM/Regen... The PvP IO won't really be neccesary for a few levels (When you stop slotting other, more important enhancements.) -
Would be nice, even though I don't click I somehow manage to switch trays...
Oh and on the subject of frantic in-combat clicking, it'd be nice if the Quit Team button was not almost 3 times the size of peoples names and found right next to them... -
If your looking for a secondary to go with Ninjas, don't pick Pain.
Reasoning is that you will go insane after about the 3000th time your ninjas are one shotted before you get chance to heal... Which would be approx 1-2 hours gameplay...
But I'll leave it to someone with a bit more Ninja expertise to make the final verdict (As I'm not sure about those builds myself, I can't see not taking the T1 pets as I always take all of mine) -
Well, everything on redside plays differently to blueside...
You really need to try them all to be able to decide.
What was your favorite AT blueside? -
Yeah, might need some End redux in Summon Demons (Heals and damage aura's plus attacks is quite draining)
Also I'd say it is best to get some slow set in Prince (Since pretty much everything he does has a slow effect) probably some End redux and the Impeded Swiftness chance for smashing damage proc.
Also in my opinion Painbringer only needs 3 Recharge Enhancements in (Since 800% Recovery and 500% regen ontop of heals and Suppress Pain is enough for most people) you could then move 3 Slots into Fire Blast and perhaps one of your Stamina Slots into it for an extra 6.25% recharge. -
They get no visual change with the first upgrade (The one available at level 6) since they were changed to not have bows. They do however get a visual change with the second upgrade (Available at level 32)
-
After looking at mids and trying to build multiple Stone Armour characters I've noticed slotting a Recharge Enhancement into your powers pretty much nullifies the slow down from granite.
Also with granite it is possible to hold the 16 mobs you can more often and more easily to make generating Fury a non-issue. (Except on AVs/GMs but they were changed so that it was easier to get fury I believe so it is still a non-issue)
