Devs - this thread was started on 21 Jan -can we have an update pls - are you at least aware of this bug and working on it?

Devs - could you please recognise the TPN regular bug as a known issue and give us an update please.
Its happening way too often now and no mention as far as i can see of you guys even working on the problem.
Its random:
it happens on lock and unlocked leagues
It happens on full leagues and has happened on 16 man runs
It happens when being TP'd back out to courtyard for both the FIRST fight against Maelstrom and the Final fight against him
It locks out toons for up to 20 minutes
Ive ran the TPN 4 times in past 2 days and 2/4 bugged out - update please -

Imagine engineering a car with a feature, that, if activated, would immediately disable every other vehicle on the street. Would people absolve the auto maunfacturer of guilt? Hell no - they're the ones that gave one person the ability to screw over dozens.
There's a lot of features that developers won't implement because they know human nature will lead to using said features for large-scale griefing. And yet they designed TPN to be the most griefer-friendly raid instance I've ever seen. If the devs can't be blamed for that, then there's no such thing as accountability in CoX.
You are doing a simple low level TF and you ask for a tank or buffer whatever - an empath shows up, but never uses any buffs or healing powers... Is this the Devs fault?
You are doing an ITF - you wanna do a shard run and say that in channels - 5 people join you and race ahead completing objectives only, then leave each mission - last mish they do only what they need to do to complete then quit team - trial over in 20 mins... is this the Devs fault?
Note it and move on - but it aint the devs fault -

If one person can manage to botch a trial for 20+ people, the devs screwed up. Period.
The devs cant be blamed - they have given us the tools to log our observations on people with the star ratings and that works for me
I use the player star ratings as a guide on who to invite and who not to invite to trials -I give people the benefit of the doubt with a one star and they get a second chance, two stars mean ok yeah we all make one or two mistakes, 3 stars/strikes and they are out and never to return

That's cool mate. It does not address the issue regarding the absurdity of the gimmicks, but I guess it makes you feel better to say that stuff I did not say..... -

What is the "purpose" of the rings in the first place? The entire hold the half the league because of threat rings is absurd. It is somewhat obnoxious to play a melee toon having to jump out of melee range because you are laying the smackdown "too" hard on an AV...pfft weaksauce.
This "mechanic" was expanded in the Keyes trial with the green patch and the wonderful Anti-Matter stops time blah blah...Now in the MOM you have the purple patches that just don't appear under you while you are suffering from the "extra stealth rooting", no they now GROW sometimes to the point where the entire area anywhere near the AV is basically super fast DOT death area. Pfft weaksauce.
This kind of "mechanic" is not fun and is also contributing to people not wanting to run the gimmick fest trials, not to mention the must be level shifted stuff that people are resorting too to increase the chance for league success in the MOM and TPN. Telling people something is fun or should be fun is not the answer. Observing what they do for fun and providing more of that is the better path to take.
Thats sounds really exciting - unfortunately i think most people would prefer a bit more of a challenge - and HAVE to actually watch their screens and react rather than just hide in the mass of heals and buffs and go afk for 5 mins! -

I know absolutely NOTHING about game mechanics and codings, however i DO KNOW that ALL my characters were fine before the Winter event patch last Tuesday, which very kindly added TWO USELESS TEMPS into my trays and REMOVED EVERYTHING else from NINE trays including 6 trays of macros.
DEVS: an update pls - are we going to be left with this gamebreaking for many bug over the Christmas holiday period? -

- In some cases the Holiday Powers may clear out your existing power tray when you first log in during the Winter Event.
- This issue should not repeat once you have restocked your power trays.

Devs - pls pls pls fix this before Christmas for us
I do appreciate that "maybe" you dont know what is exactly causing the bug, however short term would Removing the two Christmas gifts that are the only powers remaining in trays be an option? I know it may not be as simple as that, but this truly is gamebreaking for me.
i use ALL NINE TRAYS - 6 of them macros for the Incarnate Trialsyes i could still run trials, yes i could just play with the 3 toons that "seem to be ok" now i spent 40 mins on each one making them right but should i really have to
only dared to log 5 characters on and 4 of them were affected and 2 of them lost them again the first time i zoned
Been playing and paying for over 6 years and to only be able to play 3 toons for the duration of the Christmas Holidays is just meh
Devs could we have another update on this pls? -

4 out of 5 toons that so far i have dared to log in have been affected by this GAMEBREAKING bug for me.
One toon was ok the first time i logged her in, the second time WHAM - all 9 power trays emptied
I regularly run ALL the itrials and have NINE trays full of macros for the trials. I wont risk logging any more toons on until this is fixed.

ive waited patiently now for two days for a response regarding this bug which im sure is very annoying to players who only use 3 powers trays.
I use all 9 power trays - as i run all the incarnate trials regularly and have macros for each trial - so far i have logged in 5 toons and 4 of those toons had been affected and their trays were totally empty - the only toon so far NOT affected is my main badger that was created over 6 years ago. I had one toon that seemed ok when i logged her in the first time, but the powers disappeared the second time
I wont be logging anymore toons in until this is fixed
Devs - give us a clue please: When the "fix" does come will it mean that toons so far NOT logged in since the bug will be ok, and all nine trays on each will be as they were before you broke them -
The base teleport power doesnt work from PD and never has afaik
There is a SG base portal in the Main room of PD over to one side - it kinda "disappears" sometimes - but its there and will take you to your SG base
If you do try and use your Base teleport power when in PD - you will get the prompt to choose the base but it wont take you there and you power will start to recharge as if its been used. -

I think it must be a typo and should actually read:
We will pay you an extra 400 points to clutter your power tray
Pls dont tell me had over 4 hours downtime for this! -
I have exactly the same problem on several of my toons
on one toon 3 out of 4 of my costume slots have a lock symbol on them and despite trying everything i cant make any changes to ANY costume on any slot on that character
most of my other characters also have locked slotsive reported it and im waiting for a reply/fix

the 3 "main" channels i suppose are Sals Badgehunters, Union Taskforce and Union Chat, i think Sals may be full tho atm but im sure someone will clarify that shortly

Really though, they should have stated at the start of the month that there was going to be numerous long periods of downtime for server upgrades instead of just going "oh btw your losing your play time tomorrow". -
maybe im reading TOO much into one word... but... the announcement today says
"This maintenance is to complete the City of Heroes server upgrades."
note the word "complete" indicating this is the last one and therefore server downtime should be back to normal after this one that "completes" the server upgrades!wishful thinking?
