  2. It doesn't really bother me. But then, I generally clear the whole map anyway, so I usually find everything along the way.

What does bother me is when that last glowy/mob you missed doesn't show up on the map even when you've cleared everything else.

If you do go on to suggest it, I'd suggest you suggest it as an option.

Does this mean we have to give your stuff back?
  5. To play Devil's Advocate, in this case the changes to Galaxy affect one set of RPers on one server. With everything else they are doing, it can't be efficient for the Devs to actively look at making some sort of replacement. Especially as GG is basically (to an outside view) just a random spot on a zone map. Of course it sucks to lose a place with such a weight of history. But I don't think it can really be seen as an affront to RPers in general.
  6. Marvel already did something like this with their New Universe. It didn't last long enough to see whether retcons would start to creep in, but I did like the more 'realistic' feel to the world. I'm just not sure it's a concept that would grab enough 'casual' readers for it to be viable on anything but a very small scale.

They did. He barfed it back out.
  8. Unless everybody else moves, I have no plans to leave Union. It's where all my stuff is. Including a rather nice house that somebody put a lot of work into.

    Not me, I'm lazy

Actually, Larry Niven beat them to it by at least 10 years. Just to nit-pick
  10. Claire and Venessa will almost certainly crash the party. Not that they know anything about Steampunk really, but it's a party.

Also, an excuse for Claire to get Venessa to dress up in a corset...
  11. Freitag taunted us in Union PD a couple of nights back by falling flat on his face.

While Beastyle had a nice chat about seagulls and drunken fairies...

  14. New servers should be listed on the status page, I agree. Afrer all, I might want to see if Virtue is up one day...
  15. As Galaxy Girl on Union has been covered, I'll attempt to say a little about Pocket D.

The obvious difference, of course, is that you can bring Redside alts. Other than that, things probably aren't all that different when it comes to arriving as a new person. There are a few groupings of people who tend to cluster together, but the regulars generally all know each other at least enough to say hello to. The crowd can vary from almost empty to trouble keeping up with text full. Like GG, the place tends to busiest from 9pm onwards, although there may well be a few people there before. The blue bar is the place to be.

Getting to know people is as easy (or as hard) as getting to know people in a real place. A polite introduction generally is enough to get people talking to you. Impolite introductions are likely to get you ignored, asked to step into the Arena or mocked mercilessly. Depending on who is there at the time.

As FFM says, the best thing to do is just take a little look over a few nights and see where suits you best.
  16. Peter Cannon...Thunderbolt

Heck, his catch phrase was "I can do it...I must do it...I will do it"
  17. I'm another who goes on an alt-by-alt basis. The situation can be complicated more by the fact that IC some characters may not even have had a hero/villain career and just 'spring complete' at 50, or they are already retired when I roll them at Level 1 but haven't lost any of the power they would have had as a Level 50.
  18. You know, I was only going to watch for a little then go do something constructive. But then we had the hijack... It was great fun seeing you all have fun interacting with us.

Also, I now totally see Beastyle standing in the Gunbuster pose in front of his desk, waiting to wield the Buster Banhammer.

Also also...Sailor Mercury trumps Tuxedo Kamen. Seriously.
  19. Claire was one of those lurking at the back, as she was just there to observe. And probably call Daddy after to tell him how things went.

I'm sure the fact that she also promptly suggested Venessa leave the City is no reflection on the way things were conducted...
  20. Cover Date:

    Brother Power the Geek #1!

    On Sale:

    X-Men #50
  21. Perhaps we mean Zero Room.

And I'm also with the 'It was an okay but not a great' episode crowd.

Or free to remove people from your table. Because the management allow that. Changing seating details isn't being disruptive, it's part of the system. Is it nice to be the one removed after waiting for however long for your food? Of course not. Is it annoying to have to queue all over again? Of course. What people are saying is, wouldn't it be nicer if you weren't seated at that table in the first place. For everybody.

Your worry is that nearly all Leagues will lock if this feature is implemented. I don't think they will, but the only way either of us will see is if it is implemented. Or, there can be no change and people will just have to put up with the risk of sometimes being kicked from a group that wants to do the trials a certain way with a certain group of people. Which, however you think they should work, is they way they actually do work. As given us by the Devs.

And those terms, like those of every other team in the game, include being able to be kicked by the leader. For whatever reason they have. The ability to lock a league would save a whole lot of unnecessary aggravation all around. And if it turns out that every single league is getting locked (which is unlikely), why then there will be plenty of people in the LFG queue won't there?
  24. Ooh, I think I'll join the send a hopeless email game. My main account now has an EU because it clashes with the US Beta account name I had and never upgraded to full.
