Frankly, given that it's perfectly possible to run steamroll teams without a Tanker (or even Scrapper) at all, I can't really understand why some people get quite so worked up over the matter.
I pull a little stray aggro on my Blaster? I deal with it. I pull an entire mob's worth? I probably die...and then adjust my tactics. Keeping myself alive is at least as much my job as anybody else's. -
Quote:Warden was making a joke. It was referencing the fact that in England vehicular travel is on the correct side of the road. They drive on the left side of the road while Americans drive on the right side. The steering wheels are even on opposite sides of the cars.
Sense of humor, get one.
Fixed that for you -
I still remember that fateful Christmas as a young lad, when Santa sat me down and explained that my father wasn't real...

Quote:You just know that's going to be read as "our secret Marketing Overlords won't let usI I can't give you explanations as to the type of hurdle we have to overcome and that's probably not going to please some of you, but I guarantee you that they are not the type that can be resolved with a bit of coding.

Hmm, I see quite a few people saying that the prompt should be removed again, and MF just be treated like any other buff. So how about this? Give it a 4 minute duration, and make it drop on defeat or logging.
At least until we get a real solution, like an auto decline/accept option, or the ability to remove buffs from ourselves. -
Quote:Except that we had something very much like the same level of service. We had an EU office, with EU CS staff. We had EU events, we had regular communication, we had somebody we could talk to.
Mind, I don't really disagree with you. In some respects our European friends are definitely at a disadvantage in the level of service you receive. My only point is that it is a bit illogical to expect the same level of service.
Now all we have is poor Avatea stuck with only being able to say "I'll ask about things" and nothing else.
Is it any wonder people are starting to think NC are just waiting for the EU numbers to dwindle enough they can just shut down the servers like they did in Korea? -
It may not have been an outright lie, but when telling us why there would be no boxed MA version in the EU, they did say that it was because another major box release was coming, and they didn't think it worthwhile doing both for us. Which certainly implied we would be getting a boxed Going Rogue.

Quote:I totally agree with this....but:Note, i actually have sympathy for the european community, so no snark there, just it always baffles me that people feel that the most constructive way to invite the developers into a friendly, constructive dialogue is to be as insulting and rude as this. does that work anywhere in the world?
When invites to a friendly constructive dialogue are met only with what increasingly seem to be empty placation, some people just feel the need to vent. -
Quote:As long as it's European it's on-topic in here, no need for even spurious links to the game!
Anyone old enough to remember Children Of The Stones? Creeped the hell out of me, when I was like 6 or whatever.
Also the original Tomorrow People. I'm on my iPhone so I can't link to the awesome opening theme sequence with the 'zooming into the eyeball hand' bit right now, but I will when I get home if no-one else has by then.
And The Adventure Game rocked too
Eco
Here you go.
And let's not forget
And, of course
Last, but by no means least
Now, these are real kids shows! -
Quote:With manic clicking, I was able to get 4-5 instances of the same item up for sale before the UI reset. I'm hoping that one day perhaps, I can dup the sale of a single item. Of course, with my luck, it'll probably happen when I'm putting up a Ceramic Armor.
But if you do that, the game will be Gone to the Americans! -
Quote:Angel and Demon wings are Vet rewards.Thank you so much Ranjani, like I said I figured it was a dumb question. Ok so with wings, a couple looked like veteran rewards, but were some wings some kind of costume inventions of some sort? That confused me a bit.
Valkyrie wings come with the Mac edition stuff
All other wings are costume recipes. You make them the same as Invention Enhancements and Temp Powers, by character. -
The whole situation could have got out of hand if the ninja had flipped out and killed people...

He did. Only, after dropping that first one you mentioned right on top of the city, he decided it might be a better idea to push the others out over the water before trashing them...

Obligatory
Also, in a world where scientists (mad or otherwise) can make flying armoured energy blasting power suits, I don't think a multi-bladed chain saw that could shoot out those blades would be too much of a stretch... -
Oh, and because everybody has done it (but few will admit it...) don't forget that unlike the Ferries, the Tram stations have an Entrance and an Exit. If you are clicking on that tram door and nothing is happening, you've gone in the wrong one

Fifth, are you absolutely sure you have the right client? If you have a US account but somehow managed to download the EU client (or vice versa) it wouldn't recognise your password.

Quote:Yes, the kind of situation your talking about sucks. But, the Dev's view, right or wrong, is that the game is fully playable with SOs. They don't take into account people having to swap out large numbers of sets, because those people don't need large numbers of sets.I'm not whining nor expecting that exceptions will be made because it would be complicated to sort out who would 'deserve' a full IO respec, but just giving examples to show that this dev talk of 'Enhancements should be permanent' loses credibility when they change powersets forcing players to respec. I'm not against buffing or nerfing or any kind of change, I just think they contradict themselves.

I just managed to get the alt I'd logged in completely IO'd up with about 30 seconds to spare...
Then I realised in the rush I'd put one of then in the wrong place, so I needed to make 2 more. With no salvage, no recipe and no time -
Quote:See, I think this is where the disconnect is coming. This is a comic book game. The Natural origin description doesn't fit John McClane. It fits Adam Strange (who uses a jet pack). It doesn't fit Martin Riggs. It fits Batman (who uses, uh, all sorts of cool stuff). Jackie Chan might be closer (although he's used some pretty far out gadgets in some of his films), but not as close as Karate Kid (who uses a Legion flight Ring). It seems clear by description, the human naturals mentioned mostly in this origin's description are more akin to movies like Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, various Jacky Chan and other martial arts movies, and any host of extreme modern or older setting action movies.

Quote:Because we don't have jetpacks in working regular reality. So it requires super tech, so it is a tech power.Quote:There is a distinction between super tech and normal tech. This line can be foggy with fictional rifles in this game, but rocket boots are clearly super tech in genre.
Do you never click the Go To Hospital button if you get defeated? You only ever use an Awaken or get a team mate to rez you?
Because the hospital teleport is very high tech, which you seem to feel would blow your 'natural' status...
