  1. Would those brawl debuffs be enhanceable? Seems unlikely since they aren't always part of the power. Still, that would be neat in a way.
  2. Just curious but do your 'a-list' Fire/ corrs take Inferno? And if not, are you going to work that in as well, in light of the upcoming no-crash nuke changes?

    I have a Fire/Dark that isn't 50 yet but these changes, while great, are sure making my job planning her build out tough!

  5. Fast snipe requires... I thought only like 22% to-hit or so? Maybe I have the #s wrong. But with what I have so far, even with the kismet removed and FA toggled off, it shows +49% to-hit.
  6. I'm not expert at this but I'm taking a crack at it. One question I had is why you wish to have focused accuracy along with tactics. Your to-hit levels are off the charts. Dropping FA would free up some slots.

    WB/Time building

    Okay, goals are balanced damage & support. No PVP. Some iTrials. Low-mid budget.

    One thing I haven't played with is going with a different ancillary pool for more defense. I like having the resistances, though, but not sure what would be best for general survivability...

  9. For a blaster I would definitely prioritize the healing, but for a corr or def, I think damage would come first since you probably have a heal from your secondary + other survivability tools.

    On my dark melee scrapper I think I did 3 & 3 on siphon life (3 from an accurate healing set, & 3 from a damage set).

    Proc Theory

    Plant/thorn doms can use a lot of procs. Carrion Creepers & Thorntrops, for example, can really be loaded up. i just wish procs were a little more visible somehow when they fired off.
  11. While there certainly has been some power creep in this game, let's consider where it stands with respect to where things were in I1. When I returned after being away from the game for a couple of years and learned about the IO system, I said, "Hrm, so they have given us a way via crafting & marketing to get back to where we were before E.D. Interesting."

    And honestly I'm not even sure today's "purpled out" builds can do some of the crazy things that were possible back then.

    Incarnate levels (+1 aside) are an example of the "final option" mentioned in the video, since they don't apply to most game content.

    The CoX devs are not dumb. They made the decision to allow a little (global) power creep in, which many players do like, but not to go whole hog with 10 new levels, + super enhancements, etc. The rest of the new power was added in a way that was restricted to special content. Probably a smart move.
  12. Using a forum for sharing this info is and always was a hack. CoH needs an official web-based character builder, with the ability to share/browse/rate/comment on builds.

  14. Oh, sorry. I may have seen those the first time I used it but that was weeks ago. Then when I got the idea to try make the wand, I naturally just skipped through quickly. Derp!

    Oh, and kudos to the support team. This happened on a Sunday and I think they responded to my ticket and had me fixed up and on my way within about 10-15 min. Solid.
  15. I've used this a couple of times now and it's nice to have for sure. BUT be warned -- I tried to use it to craft my Lost Curing Wand from the Midnighters' Club arc and ran into a problem -- the components were destroyed, but I didn't get a wand. Ultimately had to open a support ticket to get it fixed. Just a heads-up.

  17. I have a rule: no bio until 20+. I've deleted far too many toons under 20, and some over. So I don't give a whole lot of thought to the bio until I get a sense that this toon is going to stick around. And if they have stuck around that long, by then I've had some time to mull over concepts and such, so it's not too hard. Not quite like sitting down in front of a blank notepad.
  18. It really bumbs me out to read threads like this one. I haven't authored any missions myself yet but planned to in the near future. But I see so many threads like this that I just say to myself, "Don't waste your time."

    Here's to hoping the devs wake up and realize that a MA revamp is not just sorely needed, but also worth the investment.

  22. Add me to the list of crashers. Just tonight, I've crashed four times (over about a two hour span). I've lowered the graphic detail FAR below what my machine can run smoothly, and set just about everything possible to "compatibility". Nothing really seems to help. Despite my efforts, it's as bad now as it's ever been. Thing is, I really don't crash in any other programs that I run, so I'm reluctant to buy new hardware.

    I went ahead and tried this and can verify that it does work. I used the code and created a 2nd CoH account under my main NCSoft master account.
