Good Dehydrate Slotting?
You're better off with end reduction than a theft proc in a single target attack.
After that, I'd tell you to slot it like a healing attack. With frankenslotting, you can cap most of the power's attributes.

don'T attempt to read tHis mEssaGe, And believe Me, it is not a codE.
If I had to choose one or the other, I'd slot it as an attack first, then a heal.
And as Dechs said, if you have the build flexibility for it frankenslot for both.
it has gone from unconscionable to downright appalling that we have no way of measuring our characters' wetness.

This is a good question. Right now, I just have SOs (level 26), and I slotted it one Acc, 2 Heals, 1 recharge.
So I haven't put any damage into it yet. But it will need it eventually, and I'm not certain how to go about doing that (hence putting off IO slotting).
Thanks for eight fun years, Paragon.

For a blaster I would definitely prioritize the healing, but for a corr or def, I think damage would come first since you probably have a heal from your secondary + other survivability tools.
On my dark melee scrapper I think I did 3 & 3 on siphon life (3 from an accurate healing set, & 3 from a damage set).

On my DM Brute I used 2 level 52+ Acc/Dam HOs and 4 parts Heal set in Siphon Life. Another option is 1 Level 52+ Acc/Dam HO, the respective Purple Damage-- which most people leave out of 5 slotting for purple sets and is available for this, and 4 parts Accurate Heal set.
Depending on your AT, a a good slotting for this power would be 3 parts ATO and 3 parts Heal set. Corruptors and Defenders could recieve 6.25% to 10% recharge from an ATO set 2 as it is now on beta, along with solid numbers. The same goes for Siphon Life and melee toons-- split ATO set 1 into two parts of 3 and stack melee defense.
Best bang for the buck is 3 Damage/ACC HOs and Heal/End, Heal/Rech and Heal from whichever heal set you require bonuses from. Puts all numbers (Heal, ACC, DAM) over 90%...

Han Solo: [laughs] Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good BLASTER at your side, kid.

But, like I said, I'm mostly curious to see what everyone else is doing with it, mainly cos I can see some pretty handy uses for it (wb/psy blaster = dehydrate/Siphon...mmm awesome)
Tempest
4 devastation, dmg/rech, dmg/end, acc/dmg/rech, hold proc
2 touch of the nictus, heal and heal/rech

You've wanted more control and now you have it.
As good as all the shiny things on water blast are..I was thinking..
We have a set with a self (ranged) heal..that makes a lot of sense. Obviously water healing also works..but..what if it was actually some kind of +end or recovery..that is more fitting to me. Of course..its useless to think of it after the sets out
Title says it all. What do you consider the best use/slotting for Dehydrate? Attack or Self-Heal. I'm curious to see what everyone does with it. I've put a Theft of Essence in it, but I'm not sure if that's the best route to take.
