It's been like that ever since I ran Barracuda on live servers.
-
I will be making a new MM next week and will probably join you guys. Revisiting my Zombie/Thermal now that the shields will be AoE.
-
I would strongly recommend against that. The whip attacks are superior to pool powers and provide force multiplication with -resistance.
-
Do Lore pets benefit from the +damage in Musculature?
-
If you have -resistance, than Paralytic is far and away the best choice. A -resistance debuff will augment a -damage debuff, and this is very potent for certain builds. My TA/Sonic defender stacks Paralytic and Poison Gas Arrow with very high values of -resistance. This neuters enemy damage.
Diamagnetic is great for melee toons that are resistance based, particularly Brutes with Musculature Radial Paragon and Darkest Night... -
Animated flexing bows with a nice snap would be great for the set-- certainly making it feel more visceral. I'd also love to be able to change the color of the arrows, or make them into Talsorian/Vanguard energy bolts (where energy = mono-molecular lethal blades).

-
The only toon that I am contemplating Core Rebirth on is a MM, as it effectively gets 6x the HP bonus and represents a significant portion of the MM base HP and that of the tier 1 pets.
-
Is it still possible to place doors next to each other and make the base a little less claustrophobic? If so, how would I do this?

Quote:There needs to be a way to skip the cutscene.
It is very frustrating to zone into the BAF and get stopped in my tracks for the 80th time while that cutscene plays.
By the time I actually get *into* the Trial, half the robots in the first encounter have been defeated and I can look forward to a reward of Uncommon or lower.
I don't get the logic. If your respective computers are loading the BAF that slowly, wouldn't the speedsters be ahead of you killing the spawns regardless of whether the cut scene plays or not? Everyone pauses during the cut scene, not everyone has a solid state drive... -
Quote:No. The rewards are different. I don't see you using threads to select an IO of any level that you want, or purchasing PvP and Purple IOs. Incarnate content grants the fastest advancement of Incarnate abilities. That's pretty simple and exclusive, just like, you know, tip missions and Hero Merits...I look at Hero Merits, they require 2 days to complete and 11 missions and yet the reward for that is LESS than the reward for a 30 minute trial.
And many players run their tip missions at +0x8 when level shifted to 51, providing no real challenge at all, maximizing drop chances of purples, and spending about 5 minutes in the mission. Time/Difficulty has no bearing in your protest, it's all about NEW versus OLD content, and encouraging players to run new content while still granting the ability for old content to contribute to advancement (Shard->Thread). -
Tough lets you socket Stead Fast Protection for +3% defense to all, and Gladiator's Armor for an additional +3%. That means that Tough/Weave can provide 14% defense to all and 21% resistance to SM/L with through IOs. It's a nice boost, especially with a Barrier.

**2nd and 3rd day after HEAVY grinding. I would say that there's a difference between spending 10-20 hours participating in new content versus spending 10 minutes to craft whatever you wanted from stockpiled Shards. I consider 6,000% to 12,000% a big difference... Guess you don't.
-
I can get to the top of the wall for turret killing with just Combat Jumping. How in the heck are you having difficulty with Ninja Run?!
-
That's the thing though-- I am helping my team more with Acid Arrow, Poison Gas Arrow, Flash Arrow, Oil Slick Arrow, and Disruption Arrow while using Howl to provide an additional -20% resistance to an AoE. So, in order to get better rewards, I need to contribute less to the team by fitting the formula better? Even steam roll teams are better served by my debuffing resistance than by spamming attacks for paltry defender level damage.
-
I have been determined to get tier 4s for my TA/Sonic Defender. Here has been my luck so far:
1: 10 Shards
3: Common
62: Uncommon
8: Rare
0: Very Rare
So how do I get out of uncommon purgatory? The funny thing is that my ROLE is to debuff opponents so that my allies do more damage, but the result of this role seems to simply feed better rewards to my allies... -
Perhaps Maurader and other AVs have both +ToHit and +Acc, much like players do. In your situation, if Maurader had +100% Acc, then his 5% ToHit against 100 defense would become 10%.
Edit-- Siolifir beat me to it, with better numbers too. -
Quote:They need to look into any set that delivers abilities via pseudo pets, both Traps and Trick Arrow included. If these sets use their many abilities that are pseudo-pet based they generally get worse rewards than if one were to simply spam AoE attack from their respective blast sets or MM primaries.Excellent - Masterminds ID'd as an issue and changes made to compensate. Job done.
And I'm pretty sure that Traps and TA are contributing more to a team with Poison Trap, Acid Mortar, EM Pulse, Sonic Arrow, Oil Slick Arrow, etc.
It either gets reset, or the system measure your participation level relative to others in the trial, and having missed 10%-20% of the trial your participation would thus take a similar hit. Crashing is generally bad. -
Don't run max memeber trials, ie 24 memeber BAFs and 16 memeber Lambdas. People are obsessed with maxing team size when most memebers could easily run these at minimum team size with all their new incarnate powers
-
Umm, yeah. Servers were down last week during US prime time. You are not a beautiful and unique snowflake.
-
Well, there aren't too many player powers on a 4 second recharge that do 570 points of damage with 0.57 seconds of animation (Energy Punch for IDF Commando at t4 Core). I think it's safe to say that MOBs are governed by different rules than players.

Quote:If clicks are measured, do you know how much less active you would be considered than a Controller, Blaster or Dominator (The three ATs that I have seen consistently out-pacing other ATs)? It's not even close having TG on auto fire...Must be based on clicking powers instead of putting a power on autofire if this is true. I continually spam Twilight Grasp and haven't noticed any difference from the constant commons I get. If the rewards are weighted based on participation, then it is unfair to certain players that are just as active, but don't have the same powers. I have absolutely no attacks on my MM and the only things I can use are twilight grasp, 2 holds, fearsome stare, Howling Twilight...
One thing that's also interesting is that the melee classes that are doing the best happen to be Regen. Hmmm, click heavy... -
Quote:It's always at the bottom of your temp power sub list, so anyone that can't scroll down to the bottom is either just lazy, dumb, or a new player fresh from AE with little experience.Given the ridiculous number of temps older characters can have, I wouldn't be surprised if many people look and just don't see it. It's a massive pain to check.
The revision of the Powers tab is another matter altogether and is definitely a QoL issue that needs to be addressed. -
Quote:24 man BAFs will almost always yield mediocre reward tables when everything dies so fast. Try a 12-16 man run on BAF with your controller and see if you get the same results.Meanwhile, my Earth/Storm struggles to even hit Uncommon and that only comes with extraordinary effort (being on the BAF adds team, rushing to spam AoE debuffs on everything before they're Judgmented to death anyway, etc). Despite my efforts, I'm getting Common/Leech tables as often as not.
Click heavy ATs are doing very well (Blaster, Dom, Controller), which leads me to just LOL at combat's post above. Wow. Judging us per click, really? I hope that's not the case...
