The "Tip Contact" won't show up until after you've had a tip drop on that character.

Not really any other ideas aside from kill more. So... Go. Hunt. Kill Skuls. Wait, no, don't kill Skulls, they're too low level >.<

It's not quite so much fun fighting level 30 bosses when you're level 25.
You can also run into this if you run any Carnival of Shadows missions before 40. I'm pretty sure they start showing up at level 30 redside. A while ago I was running my villainous Warshade through some papers at level 36 and had a level 40 Quantum spawn along with a spawn. Was scary, but I handled it. Made me pity any lower level khelds though.

What I have in mind for her is like Marrow of Marvel Comics.

  5. I have two characters based on a DnD Warlock I used to play for a while. One's a fire/energy blaster. Both Fire Blast and Energy Manipulation are colored black primary, purple secondary. The other's a fire/dark corruptor with the same basic color scheme. Looks like DnD Eldritch energy to me.

As for other options, I'd say radiation or energy blast for a blaster; or dark if you go defender or corruptor.Fire works for a blaster secondary. If you go defender or corruptor, dark would be easiest to repurpose to magical energy; but just about any of them could be used. All depends on what kind of mage you want it to be.

Looks good. I envision her spines a bit more bone-like than that though. Sorry if I didn't mention that before.
  7. I wish I could shoot flaming balls and reports.
  8. I've actually done some action-figure customizing in the past, and wouldn't terribly mind customizing my own figures... Except for the fact that I really don't have the time to do it right now. I could probably make a figure for myself for around 20$ including all supplies. But I'd rather just pay more and get one without having to do anything.

3D printing is a horribly inefficient way to make statuettes. 80$ for a 3D print is actually pretty cheap. It'd be much more cost efficient to hire a sculptor to make pieces that match the look of costume items in game and then make molds. I could see it going the route you suggest though, with being able to buy pieces and put them together and paint them yourself. It would probably appeal to fewer people though.
  10. Wow, just wow.

On an unfortunately off-topic note, I would gladly pay 30-50$ for an action figure of one of my characters. Maybe a bit less if the scales were completely ignored to cut production costs. Seriously, if NC were to partner with a toy manufacturer(If toy biz, I'd probably not pay more than 20, but if it was MacFarlane or one of the other top end producers, I'd drop 50$ without thinking) and offer "custom" action figures of toons, I'd be so down for that in a heartbeat. Wouldn't be too hard to make interchangeable pieces that can be added to base model bodies. Then again, I don't know, maybe it would. But I can't imagine that it would be. Once they've got the parts produced, then it's just a matter of piecing characters together and painting 'em up.

I really don't know anything about this type of venture though. I just know it'd be fricking awesome, and considering that if you fudge the scales and just use interchangeable pieces that can be added to the base body, making a custom action figure (or 20) for each customer shouldn't be too bad. (Been a while since I've collected action figures, but they were running around 12-15 for a nice MacFarlane figure, double or triple that price to account for the customizing involved, maybe?).

Damn it, now I'm all thinking about it and how awesome it would be to have action figures of a dozen of my toons all chilling around my computer. Ok, maybe NC shouldn't do it, I'd go broke in no time...
  11. My fastest 50 was my Fire/Emp Controller, ran her with my Fire/Shield who was already 50 for a double xp weekend. Took a total of around 60 hours to get her from 8 to 50 (so technically she took about two years due to having gotten her to 8 and then alting yet again, but really, 72 hours of play about). Some might say that she was PL'd, but I'd say not exactly. Her buffs made it so that my Fire/Shield could survive against the map set for 8 before he was fully IO'd, and her imps aided in killing.

My slowest was my Fire/Kin corruptor. Made her when CoV came out, and then remade her a month later to fix her name. That was November of 05. She hit 50 in June of 08. Not quite a full three years, but close. A few of my others took nearly that long too.

Then I have a few that took between 1 and 3 months. If I get into a character, I can focus on them for a while. Hard to focus again though, none of them have caught my interest recently.
  12. For me, it's anything to do with fire. Although, strangely enough, I have yet to stick with anything with Fire Armor. Scrappers, I've got a Fire/Shield, a Fire/Regen, and a Fire/WP at 50 and a Fire/SR at 40ish. And then a Fire/Kin and a Fire/Empathy controller at 50. And then Blasters, my first 50 was my fire/fire/fire, and I have a fire/EM at 29 and I've got a few lowbie fire/somethings straggled about all over the place. And then I've got a 50 Fire/Kin corruptor and a lowbie fire/dark corr on my second account. I am really looking forward to when they port Fire to defenders, I want to make a FF/Fire so bad.

As for why I'm so fond of fire... Well, I like to burn things lol.
  13. Ok, I find this amusing, probably more than I should, but while running around on a mission to save a bunch of scientists, I looked up at my map, and saw this:

Almost looks like a creeper face from Minecraft, but then it has those little stubby arms and the wonky little legs to it. Anyway, I found it amusing and felt like sharing, even though the mission is timed and I still need to find that last scientist. Oh well, he'll understand... lol
  14. Damn it, Ironik, couldn't you have at least waited a day or so before making my generic voodoo warrior conecpt seem even more generic and uninspired?

If PowerStream doesn't use that concept you wrote, I may have to make a new alt.

edit: Actually, I still like the idea of a voodoo warrior spines/dark, it just really needs to be fleshed out a bit.
  15. Here's a spines/dark concept fresh out of my head. Didn't really come up with much of a story for him, but he's some sort of voodoo warrior:

Dark Armor is colored dark red and black, looks like blood magic.

  17. <- me.

    Hi.

I don't play much as I'm in school and rarely have time to myself. I'll be on a lot over winter break though.

It can already be done. Five minutes in the costume creator, and I got this:

I doubt we'd see a huge influx in transgender/transexual/whatever toons if we got more options. Most people just want more options to create awesome looks, they don't want to make crap that I can make in 5 minutes now.

I love reading these threads about how underpowered DP is. It makes me feel so good about my DP/Elec blaster. I actually invested in her to get her some nice IO set bonuses and perma-hasten. I can pretty much HoB every other spawn (which 90% of the time defeats everything in the spawn), and with her attack chain she can take out a boss faster than some of my scrappers. I usually run her on +0/x3 without any problems.

That said, I think it would be great if DP did get buffed. After all, IOs should not be the standard to determine set worth. I'm sure if I ever got around to investing in my fire/fire/fire as much as I invested in my DP/elec, the f3 would probably blow the DP out of the water.

This is why I chose to make my n00b-toon (that was the name we had come up with for not training past level 1) a blaster. Made her shortly after the defiance change. I believe I went energy/energy with her so she had the two attacks, and with the new defiance, status effects didn't bother her at all. I think I only got her to level 6 or so before we lost interest and stopped playing the n00b-toons though.

Anyway, from one altaholic to another, I wish you luck in your endeavor.

I had what I think is being described happen to one of my characters many moons ago. IIRC, how I fixed it was to drag another tab down to where the default chat tab should have been. I ended up with the window restored to normal and an extra chat tab next to chat. I just moved the extra tab back to where it came from and all was good again. Hope you get what I said and that it helps. Cheers.

    This made me giggle. Thanks.

As for capes, I do whatever the look dictates. Some looks I have demand a cape to look right, many don't. Overall, probably 1/4 of my costumes have capes.

    Closed Fist.

    Open Palm.

To put it in Jade Empire terms. Neither is good or evil.

As for myself, it totally depends on the character I'm playing on. My Dark/Shield whose background is that he is a homeless man who got the powers of a demon in a CoT ritual gone awry; he always stops and helps out everyone he hears. Most of my other characters... well, they're more Closed Fist style.
