I've had my arc one-starred after a general string of good ratings before. Sucked quite thoroughly. Since then, I reserve any rating of below 3 stars for an arc that truly deserves it and has no hope of becoming worthwhile. If I don't like an arc, nine times out of ten, I leave a list of suggestions and don't rate it at all.

Certain sets do noticeably less damage. There was also some strange behavior with redraw that I've seen exploited so that the mobs wouldn't attack much, but I'm pretty sure that was resolved at some point. Either way, boss farms usually include a single type of boss with a generic costume, name, and easy combo of standard/standard powersets. They're not meant to challenge, they're meant to give as much rewards while being as nonthreatening as possible. I must be crazy, but I enjoy getting rewarded for challenging fights, not ones that I could breeze through half-awake.

True, very true. I made it around the shard with a Super Jumper the first time I went there. But for utmost ease, it's probably easier to use fly, at least to correct a sour jump when it goes wrong or to cheat and skip to a higher island without taking three jets.

I know quite well what happens in an AE farm. I've been on one, several due to the inability of the ones running the farm to properly articulate that they're farming bosses nine times out of ten. The problem isn't who is doing the work, it's that the bosses in question are almost always set up to deal as little damage as possible, while dozens of /FF lieutenants follow the team around with dispersion bubble on. I'm not particularly "anti-Farm", but I don't see how this sort of thing is enjoyable. I mean, we do play this game to enjoy it, right?

Hey, I haven't tried them all. Just going off of the ones I have. :P

If you finish before you click any stars, you're fine.
If you click on any star rating first, you commit yourself to submitting a rating. If you click the same star again to turn it off, you'll submit a rating of 0.

You had me scared for a second... I go out of my way to play unrated arcs and give feedback, but I occasionally don't star it (because I feel that I'd be better off giving suggestions than rating it below a 3). -
Can I be the first to say that scrappers are the last AT to need a buff..? :P

To get around and kill things within the shard?
Well, that's rather vague honestly. Someone with Teleport or at the very least Fly (Fly may be better because of the ludicrous distances you have to cross, and a teleporter's Endurance might not be able to handle it despite it being faster, though Teleport has Recall which anyone else in the shard with you will love you for), not a defense-based character due to the Observers having ridiculously accurate attacks, some form of crowd control would help a lot... Fire or Cold damage is all that really bypasses their resistances... I'd have to say Fire/something scrapper. Fire/Something that isn't Shield, SR, or Invul. -
Just about the only DC I enjoyed was Butterfly Effect. The rest seem entirely... vanilla to me.
-
I enjoy long story arcs, and sequels are even more fun. I don't understand the overwhelming preference of most people to three-mission arcs with no sequel, but I'm happy that these sorts of arcs aren't the majority.

I'd say it's more like a higher concentration of RPers than THE RP server now. I rarely play IC anymore, simply not that many people around. You know, outside of SGs and whatnot.

Door-sitters are the ones who are truely PLed if you ask me. At least you'd get some idea of how to play your toon if you helped during the farm.
Whenever I'm asked to PL someone, I'll invite them and then tell them to either help me with bosses if they're an offensive AT or keep me topped off on HP/Shielded/whatever if they're support. If they raise a fuss, I'll promptly kick them and tell them that they shouldn't be complaining if I'm sidekicking them and herding my missions with them. -

Funny, I say "mmmphmmmMMMMMmmmph!"
You know, 'cause of the bubble. Then I die from lack of oxygen.

Force Field bubbles apply a moderate damage DoT to your character. I heard they also reset your chatbinds, Generic your character, and delete your account. I seen it happen. -

First mission: Maybe this was intential but there were no Arachnoids in the first mission as the title sugested.
The minions seem rather over powered. They should be easier to kill than the Lt.s but I feel like they're all Lt.s.
Second Mission appears to be buged. I've noticed this in alot of Delete all missions.

You're right, there aren't supposed to be arachnoids in the first mission. The idea is that Dobbs expected Arachnoids, because they're the only "giant bugs" that Grandville has ever dealt with.
When you say the minions are overpowered, what do you mean? It might be that you're being debuffed by the actual Lieutenants, it's a lot easier if you kill them first. I've found the minions to be almost too easy.
What do you mean bugged..? I'll change as needed if I know what I have to change.
Thanks for the feedback. -
Minions seem especially subject to this (when they don't have debuffs). I know that people want not to see Minions and LTs in-mission with 18 powers, but we really need more control over what they have and use. I'd suggest a maximum number of powers available at each rank, but I know that doesn't answer their complaints.

... you guys make me nervous. But after extensively testing it myself, I've finally decided to post this arc which I've been working on for quite awhile now.
Arc Name:Pest Control
Arc ID: 220938
Faction: Villainous
Recommended Level: 35-50
Playtime: 120+ minutes
There is an AV at the end, which I suspect might be the low point of the Arc if she is fought as an AV. I haven't fought her as an AV yet, but I suspect she'll be extremely hard if not impossible. She's difficult but doable as an EB in my experience. Feedback on this in particular would be great. -
I did something similar to this in an AV fight that I haven't published. The AV himself is built around pure debuffs, Sonic/Cold. His surrounding faction was the same faction as the rest of the arc, nothing special. However, the ambushes at 75/50/25% were a mix of Fire Blast/Sonic Resonance LTs and Ice Blast/Force Field LTs with their AoE shields. The AV did some moderate damage with sonic blast, but made the incoming LTs a nightmare. I never did get a chance to actually test the guy out, but I imagine that he'd be fun for bigger teams.

That's an interesting way to farm indeed. I'd like to see that in action.
I'm curious as to whether an MM set would be better for this than Rad Blast, maybe one that doesn't do much damage. I know the XP loss is minor from confused mobs, but just looking at what would be optimal. And if the controller is confused, pets turn on the owner. With a more AoE heavy MM set... good times and laughs. -
I like the "chance for unresistable hold while in domination" idea.

Way to miss the point genius.

^That.
Seriously. Do you even know what the point you're arguing against is..? -
I'm thinking that some people are overhyped about customization before we actually know how it will work and what it will work for. Which will lead to disappointment for some and a lot of whining. But hey, nothing new there.
I look forward to an alternate colored Fire Control at the very least. -
This topic has stayed surprisingly civil. I DEMAND MOAR WAR!
Catgirls are the dominant life form of Pocket D. They grow in that dark corner full of musty, indescribable smoke, and only come out to feed at the wee hours of the morning. -
Just rambling, don't put any stock in the idea, but it would be interesting if Gauntlet included a stacking debuff against anything hitting the tanker. Very small -Res/-Def, maybe -2%/-1%. It'd stay useful and make more sense than a flat-out damage buff.
Something else would probably get the nerfbat though. Tankers aren't exactly the weakest hitters, they're just not scrappers.
