And then there's Battle Beyond the Stars, which translates the premise into outer space (it even has Robert Vaughn, playing essentially the same role he did in Magnificent Seven). Not anywhere near the quality of the other two, but a fun bit of cheese.

The traditional "spandex" style is already pretty well-covered, but I certainly wouldn't object to more. The proposed "retro sci-fi" pack looks like it will have some useful bits in this vein, like the shoulder rings and funky belts.

I suggested in another thread that the dog could have "fake" attack animations -- not doing any damage or drawing any aggro, just going through the motions, so he doesn't just stand idle in the middle of combat. I like the "alternate brawl" idea, though.

Quote:Whatever the limit is, there are obviously ways around it. The Master "officially" ran out of regenerations back in the Tom Baker era, but he keeps on doing it anyway.I always presumed the hand wave they'd use is that the Limit was a cultural limit, not a biological one.

Recent studies indicate that the origins of "Mad Cow Disease" can be traced back to ancient Rome...

Quote:Along the same lines, if your hero was one of the Shining Stars, Manticore could have some custom dialogue about how he's "getting the band back together".Edit: Though, now that I think about it, there is a missed opportunity in the arc, not talking about the ending, though. In the villain version at least you fight the Shining Stars, would have been a great place to add some custom dialogue if you were a hero and ran those arcs before turning villain (which that character did). But all we got was generic 'You won't win!' 'I've beaten lots of punks like you,' etc.
Or for a really tricky bit of coding: I ran the villain version of the arc first, then the hero one. All through the latter, I was thinking "Hey, my villain Crimson Snow should be around here somewhere!" How cool would it be if the game could actually detect that and have your villain alt show up as an enemy (and vice-versa)? -
Heck, I'm MORE likely to say yes to a team that just needs help with a final boss. I've been in that situation enough times myself.

I suspect the OP may not be aware that Space Ghost started out in the '60s as a straightforward adventure cartoon, before being resurrected as the tongue-in-cheek talk show version. Personally, I like both versions, but it was a blast seeing old-school SG in action again on Brave & Bold.

Heh. I noticed it's a Roxxon gas station. Nice touch.

I think with modern special effects, an Ant-Man/Giant-Man movie could be *visually* interesting, at least. I picture him in a fight, constantly switching size, shrinking down to avoid attacks, and then shooting up to giant size to deliver a smackdown. That could be pretty cool.
But yeah, I'm dying to see a well-done Doctor Strange movie. That's just oozing with potential. -
The "highlight the last objective" is helpful (when it works), but would not have solved my problem. On the Oranbega map I was on, all but one of the hostages were squirreled away in tiny, easy-to-miss cubbyholes. I cleared all the enemies I could find (tedious work for a Stalker), then proceeded to go back and forth through the map for a good twenty minutes before I finally unearthed the last four. The existing system would only have pointed out one of those.

After getting back-to-back "Find the hostages" missions (one on an Oranbega map, the other on a Council map
), I would pay for a temp power that would highlight all the hostages and glowies on the map.

Quote:We don't know much about Timelord babies...maybe she can remember that far back. Or, the (future) Doctor may have warned her about it: "One of these days, I'm going to send your Dad to pick you up and take you to Demon's Run. Don't go right away, it'll screw everything up".I do wonder though, how does River know about the battle of demons run before it actually happens? Watching the story of River Song, it shows that she knows everything about demons run before she goes there. If she hadn't been there yet, apart from as a baby, she shouldn't know about it.

True, but I doubt we'll actually see much of it onscreen. From now on, whenever there's a gap where the Doctor is traveling without a companion, we can assume that he sneaks off to Stormgate Prison, picks up River, and runs around with her for a while before dropping her back off.

Quote:Yeah, the goals there aren't really clear. As far as I can tell, the timer is just telling you how long the ambushes will keep coming. Once it runs out, they stop spawning, and any that are still there will keel over. I guess clicking all the glowies would end the ambushes early... but good luck clicking anything while piles of Igneous keep dropping on your head.In the second mission of part one, "Catch up to the Lost", you have a timed portion. Running out of time (I was defeated by a misstep into a bed of lava, heh) does not seem to do anything (I may have missed a message while in the hospital).
Aside from that, and the similarly annoying timer in the first mission (honestly, Devs...making people race to the exit on an Oranbega map is just cruel), it's a pretty fun little arc.
