Go to Ourorboros and talk to Mender Ramiel...he'll give you a series of missions that will unlock your first Incarnate slot. Once you're done with him, you should get a message from either Captain Nolan (heroes) or "Threatening Arachnos Message" (villains) that will lead you to Dark Astoria where you can earn more Incarnate goodies.

A self-serving BUMP, since my guest strip is up:

"With this sweet new shoulder piece, I'll be sure to win the next costume contest!"

It seems to be happening any time you get a mission to "Go Talk To [contact]"...the next mission after that will have the bugged waypoint. Going to your mission list and hitting "Select Task" fixes it, at least for me.

I use the Backup Radio and Envenomed Dagger occasionally for tough bosses. I agree that the drop rate is a little ridiculous...on the other hand, it's nice to know there's always plenty of them on the market for cheap when I need one.

Quote:Agreed. And maybe throw in a couple of contacts with repeatable missions for "visiting" primal heroes and villains. But that represents a lot of work, and I'm not even sure, lore-wise, how you'd fit in higher level Pretorian zones. Some fringe outpost even more torn up than First Ward? Maybe we can let them have the Shadow Shard after Darrin Wade's shenanigans are over.I believe the only thing that might save Praetoria is for the Devs to create viable content for it all the way up to level 50. First Ward was a start towards that, but until Praetoria can stand on its own as a complete third "side" of the game it will always be taken as second class compared to the rest of the game.

I can see where it might be confusing, especially with all the other "pet" powers (which are usable by all archetypes) that have come out lately. It does say that it's a "power set" rather than a "power", but that's a fine distinction that not everyone will automatically understand. Specifying "a new power set for Masterminds" would be better.

Another great job! I love how you compose these... the Phalanx saluting the departed Statesman vs. the Arachnos elite saluting the returned Red Widow. Brilliant bit of juxtaposition there.

I think it's supposed to be an inconvenience -- keeping the hostage alive is meant to be part of the challenge. But yeah, as it stands, they're so stupid and so fragile that it's just an exercise in futility. If they can't make the AI any smarter, maybe they could at least toughen them up a little.

Note the use of past tense: When her powers first manifested, Psyche was greater than any other psychic up to that point. Penny and CK weren't around yet.

Quote:In my case, at least, this is incorrect; I try to avoid dying, even if I have a self-rez and can literally pop right back up and keep fighting. Dying feels bad, psychologically, even if there's no practical penalty involved. In a more realistic sense, it allows you to fight a boss part-way, die and continue where you left off, giving the player no reason to want to avoid dying.
Quote:The game should never play itself, and it should never let the player succeed without meeting some form of goal of advancement, because this advancement is part of what makes a game a game. This is a great problem I have with the tutorial, in fact.
Quote:I firmly believe that games need to force players to act in at least some small fashion, and by denying the player the no-involvement option, we force said player to actually try.

Quote:Ugh, /unsigned. I hate it when games do that. I just quit another MMO that pulled that B.S. Repeatedly throwing yourself at a boss, getting them down to that last sliver of health, only to get defeated and have to start over from scratch? DO NOT WANT.Force players to fight a boss such that if the players all run away or the boss loses aggro for, say, 30 seconds, he recovers back to full and the fight resets. That's the kind of difficulty I'd see as fair.
Quote:Honestly, that's another difficulty setting to me, and so long as I don't have to use it, then I honestly have no problem with it. -
Since switching bodies is pretty much Psyche's "thing", I'm guessing she still exists in some form. It would be funny if she was actually mind-riding inside your character without you knowing it. "Lately, you find yourself strangely attracted to Manticore, for reasons you can't explain..."

1. Avoid teaming.
2. When you break rule #1, try not to die every five minutes.
3. When you break rule #2, make an excuse to leave as soon as the mission's over and log off in embarrassment. -

Aw man...I thought Zwill was gonna serenade us with some Marvin Gaye. I want my money back.

I imagine at the very least, we'll see a Smith/Tennant team-up, since those two are the best-known to the current audience. And then cameos by whichever other Doctors are willing & able.
It would be fun to see a series of mini-episodes (ala Time Crash), each one featuring a different Doctor and one of their companions.
