Got to Level 50..um...what's next?
Go to Ourorboros and talk to Mender Ramiel...he'll give you a series of missions that will unlock your first Incarnate slot. Once you're done with him, you should get a message from either Captain Nolan (heroes) or "Threatening Arachnos Message" (villains) that will lead you to Dark Astoria where you can earn more Incarnate goodies.

Use your Ouroboros portal (Or get someone to drop one for you). Talk to Mender Ramiel for the Alpha Slot arc. After you finish it (Reccomended with AVs off), you should be game for any iTrial. Though You can also unlock your alpha through some of the lower iTrials but the alpha arc is faster. It'll also give you access to the new DA content.
Make sure you're VIP. Your name is orange but you never know.

I have gone and spoken to him in the past but he doesn't actually give me any missions.
Just has the lists of What is an Incarnate and several other items, but no missions. Unless i am clicking something wrong. I also try and talk to Prometheus, who si right behind him, but again no missions.
I did go visit him right now, and I actually have the Alpha Slot unlocked. not sure how I got it unlocked, but it is. I have been doing some stuff in Dark Astoria and getting the Incarnate Threads and Psychic/Physical Incarnate XP for the other slots?
So to now populate the Alpha slot with something I need to get the threads and some otehr items...that I am assuming are in the trails?
Sorry, if this seems like some dumb questions, just frustrating...
Thanks
Not dumb at all!
Well if you got it unlocked, you got the worst part out of the way. The worst in my opinion, at least. I plain don't like that arc for all the running around. The first mission is real cool though : D.
But yeah, in Virtue people tend to gather in Dark Astoria these days for trials. Other servers might be doing the same now, but I recall Pocket D also being popular for that.

Are you a VIP? If not, you can't make any Incarnate powers or progress.
And, in that case... the "next" for you would probably be to begin on another character, or consider working on an IO Build if you haven't already.
Also, the Wiki is a great resource for practically anything you want to know about the game!
I'd recommend this on paragon wiki http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Alpha_Slot_Abilities
First you will want to decide which alpha ability you want then you will need to decide how you want to go about getting the parts to craft it.
I'd also recommend running one of the SSA arcs twice (whichever you can do most quickly) to get the weekly rewards of an astral merit and 10 astral threads.
total kick to the gut

This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.
I am VIP and these are all great suggestions.
thanks
I tend to be more of a solo player...there isn't a lot of server load during the morning/day when I play on the east coast.

Regarding the Alpha slot, though, you have two options. You can go the 'shard' route or the 'thread' route. Threads and the related salvage are the only method for 4 of the 5 incarnate slots (Interface, Judgement, Lore, Destiny). Shards and the related salvage only work for the Alpha slot. But, the Alpha can ALSO use threads.
Personally, I would save your threads for the other 4 slots and use shards for the Alpha slot. This is because you're going to get shards anyway. You can only get threads from 'incarnate content' (Dark Astoria or incarnate trials). You can get shards from EVERYTHING ELSE. When you defeat any enemy that is your level or higher (and not in 'incarnate content') there is a chance to get a shard.
Your main goal is generally to get your Alpha slot to tier 3 because that gives you a "level shift". Instead of being just level 50, you're 50+1. For reward calculations, etc you're 50. But for combat, you're treated as level 51 and it makes a big difference against tough enemies. To get your Alpha slot to tier 3, you'll need 40 shards and one 'Notice of the Well'.
You can get a Notice by doing the Weekly Strike Target - this is one task force / strike force that changes each week. Currently, it's the Numina TF on blueside and Ice Mistral SF on redside. Doing one of these (between now and Monday - it changes every Tuesday) will give you a Notice of the Well, in addition to the regular rewards. Alternatively, you can do the Mortimer Kal SF, which will give you a power called the Flames of Prometheus. The buff stops working at high levels, but you can trade it in for a Notice of the Well. You'll need to team to get a Notice but, generally speaking, you'll only ever need one for each character.

Another thing that is somewhat new is that you can add yourself to the LFG and still do instance missions at the same time. So I would do that. Add yourself to the LFG looking for "Any Trial". If a trial kicks off, you'll likely be added too it. (Trials may be locked or full, in which case you won't be able to join.) You can still do your solo routine, but you'll be able to join a trial if one forms up.
Just please press the green Ready button ASAP. No one likes That Guy who takes forever to ready up.
Also, join your server's global channels. If anything does form up in the off hours, it will likely be advertised there.

There are alternate recipes for each ability and each Tier of that ability that don't require the Notice of the Well. Just select the ability in the Create tab of the Incarnate window and scroll down on the right.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Hiya,
If you are indeed looking at the Incarnate abilities, we do run trials and the like on Pinnacle, just , as you noticed not too much during the days. However, you may want to join the Pinnacle global chat channels, Pinnbadges and Cozmic's Playground. They're basically the server's main public lft/ trial/tf/sf/ chat, channels and you should get more than enough in there to keep you busy.
Good luck!
Pinnacle & Virtue:
A bunch of Heroes - Alpha Team, Legion of Order.
A bunch of Villains -Black Citadel , Pinnache.
Mind of Gaia lvl 50 Defiant's first Mind/Storm 'troller.
Deadly Doc 50 Dark/Dark Corr
and lots more on Pinnacle,Union and Defiant
You might want to also look at some of the other servers as the previously West coast servers are primarily populated by US west coast players - so 3 hours behind and the previously EU servers by players in Europe - 4-6 hours ahead. As a result the peak populations on those will be at different times.

The EU servers, of course, are going to have that time difference, as the merging of the lists didn't happen all that long ago.
Once upon a time Virtue was "west coast" and Freedom was "east coast" but that was long ago. The player population is mature enough that in the US servers are more culture/playstyle based than simple west Vs east.
I know Oceanic has a preferred "US" server since their primetime is our sleep time.

I have a character that is level 50...I hear about these Incarnate Slots and trees, but how do I get them? I tend to be more of a solo player...there isn't a lot of server load during the morning/day when I play on the east coast. What are some suggestions that other players can give me.
I have complete Who Will Die, but I am looking to take the character to the next level.
Thanks
