And it does a very good job of that. And for giving you a moment of not being beat on when you need to pop an inspiration or two. It's a situational power and fine as it is. Not every power needs to be useful in every single fight, after all.

Wrong section.
And it doesn't matter which side you're on or which you started on - you get full access to the Epic power pools. Still have to be a full Villain to unlock the Patron pools, though.
As for which Patron pool to go with, going Mace Mastery gives you two more powers to mule LotG +7.5% recharge (and perhaps even use!), though it would greatly lower your personal offense a fair bit compared to, say, Ice Mastery (which you get a nice blast, 1 LotG mule, and a nice AoE rain).
[if my Ill/Rad/Ice went Mace - and I just unlocked the patrons last night - I could go with LotGs in Superior Invisibility, Combat Jumping, Maneuvers, Scorpion Shield and Personal Force Field instead of his current SI, CJ, Man, and Frozen Armor; sitting at 90% global recharge - need mooooore! :] -
I'd assume that it goes off when you activate the teleport and lasts 2 minutes. Teleports aren't toggles, so the stealth won't disappear the instant the teleport effect ends.
-
Eh. The end/s of Sprint isn't so bad. Then again, my builds aren't so tight that I can't afford to put a second slot in it to have both stealth and endurance reduction (in fact, my AR/Dev would be getting said extra slot for reduction sometime today when he hits 45 - IF I thought he neededit. He's only got a 0.74/s (0.69%/s) drain with Sprint, Combat Jumping, Cloaking Device, and Targetting Drone (both at 0.19/s) as his only toggles, so it's not really a problem. Don't even need much in the way of blues and the cost is worth it to be able to toe-bomb)
-
Nope. All the 120 second proc effects (Stealth, Miracle +recovery, etc.) now end instantly when the toggle they're in is turned off as of Issue 18 and mentioned in the patch notes, so it's not a bug.
-
*shrug* Then take a Blaster secondary with Build Up and/or stock yellows. That's what they're there for.
-
No. It's a nice perk, like any rez power, but not something any player of intelligence expects Radiation Emission characters to always have - unlike Radiation Infection, Enervating Field, Lingering Radiation, and Accelerate Metabolism. Anything else is just gravy and anyone who'd get worked up over you not having the other powers in the set isn't worth playing with.

Quote:Assuming it's not your first Morality Mission on that character, in which case you get Reward Merits (50 for Hero/Villain and, I hear, 30 for Vigilante/Rogue). Subsequent Morality Missions will give Heroes & Villains an alignment merit. No idea what, if anything, Rogues & Vigilantes get for theirs.I think I know the basics; play 10 tip missions towards one alignment and I get a morality mission. After the morality mission I get hero/villain merit?
Quote:(Side track: Finding/making that teams for the doing morality missions seem harder than paper/radio PUG making. Is it true that unless you're willing to adopt the morality of the team, your progress goes backwards? I play off US peak times on virtue and seldom have trouble finding normal teamage)
Your progress doesn't go backwards - each alignment track is unaffected by your progress in another and whichever one is first to reach 10/10 is the alignment you get your Morality Mission for.
Quote:Do I have to persist with just one character to have any hope of changing it really does feel like stagnant progress. It doesnt seem enough to do the ten mission in a row with a character seems it has to be within a timeframe.
Quote:In short: If it takes me over twenty nights to get 10 missions complete will I ever get there? You'll get there, eventually.

Quote:It might be illogical, but is a VERY common situation. The section in question, including the part you highlighted, suggested that because the OPs brute was less defensively strong, that limited the amount of enemies they could tank to improve Fury. Its illogical to assume that when faced with a Brute that they felt was less defensively strong (it "dies more easily") that they would keep pushing it into those situations where it would die repeatedly.

Quote:Yes. And Montague will introduce you to a random regular contact in your level range after the first or second mission (can't remember which - but I'll find out today as my Stalker goes through ''Lost and Found'').By "first normal origin contact" I meant your first HERO normal origin contact. When you switch to hero-side, you lose all your contacts, so I would have thought that the game would provide you with at least one new hero contact to get you started, and that it probably would be one of the contacts for your level range and of your origin.
In order to have any contacts in CoH, you are referred by another contact.
EDIT: Yep. After the first mission (rescuing Percy). My L27 Stalker got Eliza Thorpe in Talos. -
Assassin's Strike from Hide is basically a mega, single-target nuke. Haven't seen what a high-level Stalker can do, but my L27's doing over 400 now on stuff that doesn't resist. Nothing else comes even close when it comes to single-target damage. (yeah, I know, your AoE nukes do way more when you add it all up, but NOT to a single target)
-
Well, unlike redside, you don't have any use for your level 1-5/Origin contact blueside since you go to the City Representative for your cape & auras.
-
You should have gotten Montague Castanella as a contact the instant you switched, as well as the Dark Mirror contact in Talos (if you're under L30, anyways). Oh, and Admissions Officer Lenk at the university. My L28 Stalker did when he went Hero just an hour or so ago.

Quote:It's the constant ambushes and sieges (I now hate the word "incoming") that are the problems. :/ Especially on characters who are low on damage and have just gotten rid of the first foe in the first wave when the next wave shows up...I just started playing a new brute today. Those who think Praetoria is hard are smoking crack, or just never learned to actually play the low level characters they've supposedly had.
Other than those, and Blast Masters (sorry, but not everyone can afford to send their alts -KB IOs), it's not so bad. -
Quote:Depends on which version of Alan Scott we're talking about. The original ring & lantern were magical devices. Might still be unless they're quietly ignoring (since they merged the Golden Age continuities into the current) the bits of Hal Jordan's origin which state that he was the first Green Lantern from Earth and therefore made Scott a member. So, would the Alan Scott Green Lantern be tech, since he receives his power from a unique device?
Hal Jordan's (and all future Green Lanterns') ring & lantern are definitely technological artifacts, however. -
Quote:Nah. If you've already started the arcs, you can finish them off even if you outlevel them. The down side is that the mission levels will remain at the contact's cap.without giving too much of a spoiler, can you run with both contacts on a given side, e.g. both Warden and Crusader? when Calvin gave me the option of choosing Flores or Ricochet, he made it sound like it would be one or the other. but after doing 1 mission, I can contact him and get the contact I didn't get the first time. worried that if I don't focus on one or the other, I will out level story arcs
And, if you solo, you'll pretty much HAVE to do two of the three available contacts in each level range. -
Oh, it can get well past the softcap - my MA/Nin @ L27 has more than 55% to AoE when Hidden.
-
They *REALLY* need to change that and have the introduction cause both choices to become visible contacts (as well as giving you a specific introduction to the Wardens/Responsibilities you're able to betray).
-
Despite being from Issue 11, this SS/WP Brute guide should do the trick.

Quote:As the original developer of Gumband (an offshoot of ZAngband which is an offshoot of Angband which is an offshoot of MoriaI had not realized I could pillar dance things outside of roguelikes. I have been able to get multiple crits-from-hide on a lt just by running around scenery.
), I say you win the Internets for that comment.

Quote:If you're that desperate for spike damage, choose a secondary with a Build Up and/or pop some reds when you want that spike. The lack of Aim in Dual Pistols is no big deal.It still doesn't address the whole "lack of Aim" problem either. Best solution is to simply leave the ammos where they are and to provide the set with burst damage functionality like it should have gotten from the beginning (provide [Swap Ammo] with a 90 second recharge, 10 sec duration, 62.5% +dam buff; problem solved).
-
Nah. Just add Confusion to the list of things that Containment affects - then remove the Containment bonuses from all Controller AoE powers (leaving it on the single-target stuff; think of it as having to concentrate on a specific foe to take advantage of the Containment you've set up instead of just throwing stuff at everyone).
-
Yes, but that's anecdotal evidence and therefore is utterly meaningless when the number crunchers have told us that Stalkers are useless compared to Scrappers.
-
I can and it's a very annoying buzzing, rather like a power transformer on the fritz.
