At Level 4 in Nova Praetoria and no contacts

I did the veteran tutorial and chose Resistance. I ran the Calvin Scott arc and he says come back at level 8. I also ran the Praetor White arc and he's done giving me missions.

I received the souvenir for member of the pack.

Next steps?

You should of gotten at least one contact request from calling Calvin. From your description you got the contact to start the Warden Arc.

In either case, Warden or Crusader, after you see the contact and get the intro dialog, you need to reclick on that contact to get the missions going. This will happen every time your introduced to new contacts in Praetoria.

Thank you for the time...

They *REALLY* need to change that and have the introduction cause both choices to become visible contacts (as well as giving you a specific introduction to the Wardens/Responsibilities you're able to betray).

Ahh. OK. I found Richochet in the underground and she gave me missions.

Yes, they really need to make her appear in the contact list, or have Calvin Scott just tell you to go to her everytime you call him, even if he's currently inactive.

Also, just randomly ran into Chief Interrogator Washington, and he gave me missions as well.

Odd that neither of these active contacts were communicated to me.

The game won't send you to contacts of the opposing Praetorian faction automatically, but you can still get missions from them if you find them manually (for the purpose of performing "undercover" work).

I had this dilemma too. I'm sure this won't be a problem once we learn by heart where the contacts are and what level to visit them. For now, as someone trying to experience the new content with a fresh perspective (in other words, not reading any info on the zones), it's quite frustrating.

I ended up just joining a higher level team for 4 levels to get from 4-8. I really wish it was more clear how to get these contacts.

Bah...was working on leveling up my new Demon MM last night and I ran into this. Got sent to a couple different people I figured were contacts...only to have them not show up as contacts. So I finished what missions I had and then joined a lvl 4 team (as lvl 5) to level up a bit more. Now I'm up to level 7 and probably missed out on those story arcs...damnit.

They really need to fix that crap.

I chose Resistance in the tutorial too and at level 4 Calvin Scott automatically showed up in my contact list (I got a popup and everything). When I called him (after finishing Praetor White's arc) he gave me two contacts to choose from - the Crusader and the Warden. I picked the Warden contact. I happen to be in the Resistance base and clicked on Richochet and so now I have both.

Seems to be working fine for me. I wonder why you guys didn't get the same?

Sometimes you have to talk to the contact more than once before they give you any missions, I don't like that, but it is what it is. You shouldn't have ran out of contacts already. I'm currently lvl 10, never ran out of contacts and still have 3 or 4 contacts I haven't even done any missions for yet.

After you are introduced to the level 5 contacts by your handler (Provost Marchand or Calvin Scott ), you need to talk to the contact again after the first introduction in order to get missions.

As well as the 2 contacts on your 'side', one of the contacts from the other 'side' can be accessed if you want to do undercover work ( Chief Interrogator Washington and Robert Flores ). Just walk up to the contact to get a mission.

ZONES
Nova Praetoria
  • Mission Contacts
    • Praetor White - Located in the Magesterium, this is the first contact for all members of the Powers Division (Resistance and Loyalist)
    • Provost Marchand and Calvin Scott are your handlers as members of the Loyalists or Resistance.
    • At level 5, Calvin Scott will lead you to Robert Flores; or Santiago, who directs you to meet Ricochet in the Underground. At this point you may choose the path of a Warden or Crusader.
    • At level 5, Provost Marchand will offer you a choice between the Deputy Assistant of Information and Chief Interrogator Washington. This will start you down the paths of Power or Responsibility.

without giving too much of a spoiler, can you run with both contacts on a given side, e.g. both Warden and Crusader? when Calvin gave me the option of choosing Flores or Ricochet, he made it sound like it would be one or the other. but after doing 1 mission, I can contact him and get the contact I didn't get the first time. worried that if I don't focus on one or the other, I will out level story arcs

thanks

Haven't completed them yet but with my Resistance character I'm running both level 5 Resistance arc and the 1 available Loyalist arc. I'm just hitting level 7 and almost done the Resistance arcs.
Not sure if you can outlevel the arcs in Praetoria, as they seem to be my level when I accept them ... anyone know?

That's technically impossible, since you get a huge popup window saying "CALVIN SCOTT HAS CONTACTED YOU, YOU SHOULD CALL HIM" when you level up to 4.

And from there he sends you to another contact, which will start a chain of events that will lead you to at least level 14, where you'll need to either find the next contact or get to level 15 for calvin to introduce you to the next.

Nah. If you've already started the arcs, you can finish them off even if you outlevel them. The down side is that the mission levels will remain at the contact's cap.

And, if you solo, you'll pretty much HAVE to do two of the three available contacts in each level range.

thanks Katze and JD, good to know. the way it was worded, it sounded like they were trying to create 4 separate arcs, which would make sense to keep it from being quite as repetitive running new alts through Prae.
