Quote:never posted something hoping for interest in something?so, wait... what's the question ? and why is the OP talking to themself and replying to themself ?
I honestly haven't had time lately to work on it at all...but it's still on my list of things to work on. I just have a few other higher priorities right now. After I finish those items I'll have much more time to do work on this as well as other things. -
Quote:I know about the offset in the mastermind primary...I realized that after I had completed the update (and noted it above in post #3). It was either leave it as is with the offset or make the primary powersets out of order. Perhaps I could produce two sets of files, one with the powers in the same order as in game, and one that preserves existing powersets in their place. Might be a moot point right now though, since I put this out a little while ago.Just wanted to give you a heads up however, it seems that by editing the profile page it has off set the mastermind type in the MM primary selection tab of the Mastermind Henchmen binding section and as the MM primary selection button is grayed out you can't alter it manually.
I don't know if you can do this but an update I would like to see in the SoD section is the addition of the Ninja run power. At the moment I use it via the temp travel power mode but that does not allow it to shut off when you stop moving. Putting it in the general settings section with sprint and the other prestige movement modes would be a step forward but it would also be nice to have a check box so that it would activate with sprint or any of the other prestige movement modes as the ninja run power stacks with these.
Again thanks for all you do!
For the second part of that statement are you talking about on the Mastermind Henchmen Binds window? The "MM Primary" Dropdown? That I didn't see as I've never used the henchmen binds myself, I use Sandolphan's mastermind keypad binds. I will look into it if I can fix it though. I'm probably the last person that should be updating this as all I really use are the speed on demand binds. I've never messed with the rest of citybinder a great deal.
I'll see about adding Ninja run to it as I could use that too. I'd like to figure out how to add whatever sprint power + ninja run, since they stack...but that needs me to dig into the code a bit deeper. Adding the new powers or ninja run is just a matter of editing the lua files, so those should be pretty simple.
And for anyone who needs a link...this is where you can grab the last version that was released officially (0.76): http://sourceforge.net/projects/citybinder/
Can't promise updates will come quick...as I have a number of things I'm working on at the moment. In any updates I do...I'll try not to break existing functionality. -
Quote:I think it would be best if through the storylines you take...you end up becoming a Vigilante or Rogue....not that you can't turn yourself around after a storyline...just that you end up on the path you decide through your actions. Seems a bit off for us to be able to pick whatever we want even after following one storyline that is polar-opposite of the path we choose. Like picking to go Villain after completely following the Responsibility storyline...if anything is more hero focused I'd say it's that...at least from my small glimpse at that storyline so far.Personally I think it would be better if Praetorians would start as either Vigilantes or Rogues (as I said before, none of them is really good or evil).
Basically I just wish it were a little more structured than it is. -
It's mostly for newbies at this point. Veterans have so many respecs stacked up just from their vet rewards that there really is no need to use a freespec. They've almost made it as if you could change your powers at will if you're been playing long enough. I'm only at 36 months and I have so many respecs I don't know what to do with them all. Then again I'm not changing my builds all that often.

Bah...was working on leveling up my new Demon MM last night and I ran into this. Got sent to a couple different people I figured were contacts...only to have them not show up as contacts. So I finished what missions I had and then joined a lvl 4 team (as lvl 5) to level up a bit more. Now I'm up to level 7 and probably missed out on those story arcs...damnit.
They really need to fix that crap. -
Ok so not a perfect update...but close. For some basic binds you'll need to set what powerset you use again for your existing profiles. example: I hopped onto some of my older characters from last time I played..and the had to remake the profiles to match the updated directory where I had my binds stored. For my masterminds I had to set the powersets again because of the ordering of the powersets in my updated file...such as since demon summoning was introduced, all the other powersets where one lower than where they were before.
I'll continue to work on it. I know there are probably a few more file I need to update to make it work completely. I've never used anything more than speed on demand really though, so I'll have to investigate the other binds available to see if they need to be updated....such as the mastermind binds.
I'll see about fixing the update so you don't have to reset the powersets.
This is my first time really messing with the program's source...so bear with me. Depending on what I find though...I might consider picking up where Monorail left off. That of course, depends on my desire to play the game....which changes pretty regularly. I'll be in for at least 3 months though...as that's the sub I signed up for when I came back. -
Ok here you go...updated with all powersets as of the GR launch. Also corrected a bunch.

Just drop the two file inside the zip into your CityBinder folder.
edit: if you got a password protected prompt...try again...I didn't realize that it created a guest password when I created the drop. -
Ok, so I came back for the GR launch. Used to use CityBinder a lot...got into it this time and got the bug to update the powersets in it.
edit: ok fixed the bug I had...so CityBinder loads now. I realized that I have to update more than just the powersets.lua file though. Updating the other files now. I'll update this thread when I have it working. -
Yep...silly question... The options for HEAT's don't show up on the Praetorian creation window. On the Hero creation window the HEAT's are most definitely locked.
Guess I'll contact support then. -
Ok, so I'm back after a while away from the game. Came back for GR. I noticed while looking at the archtype selection screen that EATs now unlock at level 20 instead of 50. I've unlocked Villain EATs already when I got one to 50...but I've never unlocked Hero EATs yet. Reading some more about it over on Paragon Wiki I learned of the bug with them not unlocking even though I have heroes over level 20 (up to 37). So I tried logging in with my level 37 blaster, but it still doesn't unlock. Do I need to actually level one of my heroes to 20 or just try logging in with my 37 until it unlocks? Or do I need to contact support?
Note: this has nothing to do with GR...I haven't tried switching sides yet with any of my characters. I've been mostly messing with my Demon Summoning Mastermind which I created after GR launched. -
yay! Double XP....maybe I'll actually make some progress with my main and my many alts.
I love this game but the time you have to spend to level up your characters is insane....combine that with altitis and you pretty much have to become a hermit.
I resubscribed for 6 months....hopefully I'll get my first 50 in that time...just need 19 levels with my main.
