Quote:Firstly, the point of it is to prevent farmers from freely moving cash around using disposable accounts. If they need paid accounts to do business, it actually accomplishes something when NCSoft bans the account. Not sure what this has to do with free players being unable to afford what the Devs have stated for years the game is designed around. I am fully for Freebie players getting squat until they purchase something, anything. However, for them to not actually be able to play the game? Wow, bonehead marketing move of the first order. (and I've seen some doozies.)
To me, this is the first I have heard that really shows that "Free to Play" is a gigantic lie.
Secondly, why don't you knock off the BS? Can't play the game? Utter and total nonsense. We were playing the game and buying our SO's long before inventions existed, long before the consignment house, long before we could email ourselves funds. Was it less convenient than the way it is now? Sure. Was it as bad as walking to school in the snow, uphill both ways? No. -
If she's a controller, then you mean "electric/time". Time/electric would be a defender.
Yeah, ParagonWiki blew up yesterday and I don't have this one memorized. -
Yes. *
* Subject to change without notice. The devs might all go insane next month and change the game to City of Livestock.
Quote:Since I don't smoke, I keep a smoking jar where cigarette money goes in. That covers the cost of my subscription. :3
City of Heroes. It's a lousy, lousy habit... and one I can't give up. :3
Quote:I have long thrown down the gauntlet to any other MMO out there to draw me away from here and after seven years, none have met the challenge.
Keep me posted. I'll send you $15 per month. -
Quote:Nah, you just need to give her some assistance in staying alive, particularly when starting out, so she doesn't get frustrated. One good option would be....Do I need to run a Tank to manage agro for one Blaster? Even a KB crazy Nrg Nrg?
Ah, well, hmm....
Well, if buffers are out, all you really need is to be tougher than her. So I would not suggest a second blaster. I think a tank would be overkill for a duo for general playing at regular settings. If you decided to duo AV's, that's different.
Even all blasters can work. I play with my brother and his wife on Justice and we have an all-blaster team. We can take out any spawn faster than they can take us out. Then every one of us whips out Aid Other and/or Aid Self and we're ready for the next fight. -
Quote:So you don't feel the ambiance of the medieval library is enhanced by some comic book posters?Personally, as the main base designer for two bases, if someone adds one without asking, I reciprocate the consideration by deleting it without asking. Harsh, maybe... but I really do have better things to do than remind people repeatedly not to do this without asking, especially when I *have* all the aforementioned items available. If they were wanted, they'd already be there...

Quote:Whoa... hey.... "abuse" is such an unpleasant word. I didn't abuse it. I just ran it repeatedly.... with about 15 different toons.... using an Excel spreadsheet to track the timer.....I assumed when Freedom went live, that those of us who remained subscribed were being given a way to get some merits quickly by running this easy arc. Why would I assume that? Because thats the way it was published.
Did I abuse it?

Also, you don't know how long that box has been sitting around. With anything like this (video card, motherboard, etc), assume that the included CD can best be used as a coaster under your drink. Always download updated drivers.

WAI.
Why? I dunno. But we were told it's WAI. -
Well, the new Sewer Trial seemed like the place to start, but it's just too short. So, we'll do the Sewer Trial and then Positron part 1. Next week, we'll do the Sewer Trial and part 2.
Saturday, November 5 at 1PM EDT
Death From Below AKA The Sewer Trial
Level 1+
Requires 4 to start.
Uses the LFG system to start.
This trial gives a temp power to boost either accuracy, damage, recovery or defense (you get to pick). The buff lasts 7 days or until you hit level 22.
Positron TF part 1
Level 10+
Requires 3 to start.
Contact is in Steel Canyon.
1. Ironblade - Probably Capt Tom Tachyon, a level 7 time/rad defender.
2. AngelicaVenger - Mender Angelica or Angelica Venger
3. Errant - on something
4. GATE-keeper - N-TREPID (rad/sonic def)
5.
6.
7.

Quote:Firstly, having the power doesn't mean anything. If you're a Rogue and convert to Hero, you get the Countdown icon and 7 days later you get the Call to Justice power. You don't have to confirm anything to get the alignment powers.I'm pretty sure there's something screwy with the trigger to mark you as a hero. I have one character who started in Praetoria, became a hero, did SSA#1, got the hero merit, then did SSA#2 and was not given the option of taking a hero merit because it said I needed to do a morality mission. I even have that little hero power, the pbaoe ally buff thing.
Secondly, regarding the events you described, is it possible you did SSA#1 BEFORE the patch that changed the requirement and SSA#2 after the patch? That would explain those events. -
Quote:Bad idea. All the disclaimers in the world won't stop people from screaming bloody murder when their pet feature doesn't get put in 'on schedule'. There is really no upside for the devs in this idea. They could chuck disclaimers saying that these things aren't final, subject to change, and all the other usual suspects. A game plan for the future would show things such as commitment to the game for the long haul, time to raise queries and suggestions for the later updates and a chance for player/dev interaction on their plans and goals, and our hopes and expectations.

Not following you. Previously, the vet rewards came at THREE MONTH intervals and subscribing for 12 months at a time did not get them to you any faster. Now you can get one per month. This is somehow a letdown?

Quote:Just now, I ran the arc with a few friends, on my MM, who began as a villain, and switched to 100% hero, about..5 months ago. Since then, I had not actually done another set of tips with him (because he is poison and its junk). But he is STILL a hero. The last morality mission I did..a HERO one.Quote:
'You must have completed your most recent Morality Mission as a Hero reinforcing your Hero alignment to claim this reward.' Quote:How does swapping sides NOT reinforce my alignment? The alignment is CHANGED! Clearly, I am reinforcing it.
Now, I agree that this restriction should be explained in-game BEFORE you run the Signature Arcs. However, once you got that message, it's clear why you didn't qualify for the A-Merit. You have never confirmed your Heroic Alignment. You changed alignment several times, but never confirmed it. -
Don't worry, it will like you some day.
But I can't tell you when.
Because it's random.
-
Quote:My experience differs. I've done a single Morality mission on like EIGHT toons since that patch and the result has ALWAYS been the same. Doing ONE Morality mission to confirm alignment, and receiving the 50 Reward Merits, lets me earn A-Merits from the Signature arc. That's not my experience. When you get the 50 Reward Merits for the first Morality, it's not being counted as *reinforcing*. On two different toons since the Patch that reset things, after I got the 50 Merit reward, the SSA would not award Hero Merits. Had to run it again.
In some cases, I have proceeded directly from doing the Morality mission to the Signature arc, and sometimes it was a day or two later. I have never failed to receive the A-Merit.
Either there is some bug consistently affecting you and not me, or you are misremembering something. I'm tracking this on a spreadsheet so I know who has done what and who to run through the arc next after the timer is up. -
Quote:I certainly do. But not about the OP; I would avoid you.I don't know anything about you save for this thread. I won't claim you're a terrible person or anything. However, I would certainly avoid you ingame, because I'm simply not playing a video game to get into disproportionate and fruitless arguments with random strangers everytime I say something. I suspect some other people might feel the same way.

You can buy a jetpack at level 1 for 10,000 inf.

The chart is here on ParagonWiki.com.
If you start at level 32 or higher, and exemp to level 1, your SO's would be 2.2% as effective as normal.
meh. Should have refreshed the page before replying. -
And we always have. And we have also always had to pay extra for expansions and booster packs - i.e. extra 'stuff'. This is an entitlement thread, plain and simple.
-
Quote:You have an extra step in there.Example: You create a new hero, level it up to 30. Run the Hero Morality mission and get 50 regular Merits. Then Run the Hero Morality Mission again for a Hero Merit (takes at least 4 days to run the two Morality Missions).
1) Create a hero and get to 30.
2) Run the Hero Morality mission and get 50 Reward Merits.
3) Profit. You are now eligible to earn A-Merits from the Signature Arcs.
If you start as a hero and run a Hero Morality mission ONCE, you have confirmed your alignment and are good to go. You don't need to run it again for an A-Merit.
If you start as a different alignment, you need to run a Hero Morality mission to change to hero, then ANOTHER Hero Morality mission to confirm.
