First Ward Day Job badge question

Do you actually have to enter the Mother of Mercy hospital to get credit for the badge?

And if so, how do you get the @#$#@$ in there?

I got this badge a couple of weeks back, and just stood on the roof of the Hospital building (as far as I'm aware, there IS no way to get in).

Keep in mind that you get a yellow notification icon that will appear up under your health and END bars -- simply right-click it to see what Day Job you are eligible for at your location (assuming you're in a Day Job badge area).

yep same as Eric, I have this badge and I just stood on the entrance platform outside of the the main doors.

I parked my badgers up on the roof of the hospital right above where the explore badge was. And just to state the obvious I did that First Ward Day Job badge first because it was the farthest from the entrance to the zone. Now I'm done with it so I don't have to spend the time traveling all the way out there anymore.

You can't enter the MoM Hospital (sadly), but standing on the roof is where I earned the badge.

Also, if you download the latest VidiotMaps overlay, Blondeshell added Dayjob Location Markers to the maps, after I suggested it. Very handy!

Quick note: If you are exemplard down for any reason (Oro Flashback, on a Taskforce, on a lower level tem, etx) you MAY not get day-job credit.

I forgot to phone in after a SSA run & only the First Ward - Scavenger day-job would have the 'earn day-job credit' power show up (& it would disappear in other First Ward day-job location) until I noticed I was still level 20 & phoned in to finish the SSA. After I did that the 'earn day-job credit' powers showed up like they were supposed to.

I had already gotten the Scavenger day-job badge and when I returned to First Ward, after finishing a run through the SSA1.1 & having forgotten to phone in (leaving me exemp'd down to level 20), the only day-job buff icon that would appear was for Scavenger. I was working on Psychologist but when I entered the area around the Mother of Mercy Hospital no Psychologist buff icon appeared & the buff icon for Scavenger disappeared (as it should.)
So, the system 'knew' I was in the MoM area but would not give the proper day-job credit.
I flew around First Ward and saw that it was the same with all the other non-Scavenger day-job locations (ie I'd have Scavenger buff-earning icon showing until I entered another day-job location & then no buff-earning icon would be present at all.)
After getting owned by a seedling I discovered I was still exemp'd to level 20 (and my self-rez was greyed out.)
I phoned in to finish the SSA and thought, "Hmm ... maybe that was it" , and went back to the roof of the MoM Hospital & the Psychologist buff-earning icon then appeared.
So ... odd ... and mostly my fault for not noticing that I hadn't phoned in ... but still ... probably not quite working as intended.

I don't know about exemping, but I noticed that if a Halloween event is going on in First Ward when you log out, Scrounger won't work. I could get credit for DUST Ranger, but I couldn't find any place that Scrounger would show up.

Is it possible that the Day Job indicator was showing up but you didn't realize it, since the badge name is Scavenger?

Nah, that's just what I get for posting from work. I was flying around over First Ward without any Day Job marker showing up until I hit DUST HQ.

If there are four day job badges in FW, and one is the hospital, one is DUST HQ, and one is the scavenger base, where's the fourth?

While exemplared, the DUST icon won't show up for me, but I do indeed get credit for logging out there even without the icon showing up... I've tested that extensively.

As for getting to the log out points, I use Flashback Crystal (either in Ouroboros or my base) to sign up for First Ward pt. 3 to get the warp to Noble Savage. From there, I either stay there for Eltentown or pop over to the DUST facility.

And I imagine I'll be using pt. 7 to warp to Vanessa to hop over to MOM Hospital.

This afternoon, I'll be finished with my second First Ward day job... two more to go to be completely done badging... until 21.5.
