Quote:Firstly, the location of the server had nothing to do with what time zone the players were in.thanks for the replies. im a bit reluctant to pick virtue because i am an east coast player and virtue is a west coast server.
Secondly, there are no more east/west coast servers - they are all in Texas now. -
Actually, Rajani Isa said that.
I used to do it too, though. -

Quote:hmm.... Are you aware that Fitness is now inherent? All new characters (and any old ones that you respec) get Swift, Hurdle, Health and Stamina automatically at level two.Well, or maybe it's a job for Null the Gull. Tough (and Hasten) are the other two "meta-powers" like the Fitness tree, where you have a numerically superior option that requires an annoying compromise (in Fitness' case, burning 3 power slots, for Tough/Hasten, a brief to extended period of looking like a dork).

I think they will only talk to people in their level range. At 50, the only one that will talk to you is Ghost Falcon in Peregrine Island. Of course, as mentioned, there are multiple SO sellers that don't require you to do a mission in order to buy from them.

Quote:Money talks.My only question is:
Who is supporting SOPA outside of the media? How are these guys still pushing without jack squat for support?
Sadly, Congress is structurally corrupt. As an example, did you know that if you get caught engaging in insider trading, it can pretty much trash your life. If a member of Congress does the same thing, it's not illegal for them. Nice, huh? -
Quote:<shrug>Aside from the fact that the name freeing script was run after those characters were created. So as long as the names met the criteria of the script they were freed up already. The ones that weren't were never intended to be released by the program the devs made.
And whether or not we agree with the devs they have made it clear they have no intention on running that script again any time in the near future.
Yes, I know all these things.
I still think it's a good idea.
And the devs have previously changed their minds about their intentions.
Quote:Mocking dismissal of a bad idea does not equate to hostility.
There is no objective metric that determines the quality of the idea. -
Quote:Fair enough, but some people do not build their tanks to 'tank'. Sometimes people want to have a melee fighter that's tougher than a scrapper. If they're built for fighting, and not tanking, then tanking IS NOT THEIR PURPOSE.I don't know, but from the overall attitude I've witnessed concerning taunt/no taunt and the purpose of a tank involved in a team is one of 'too bad for the teammate' if they are unable to handle this, that, or the other. That goes against my core value of what it means to be a teammate.
Quote:Guess what to Tankers who take Taunt... another Tanker/Brute took Weave or Hasten instead and is now more durable than you. Or Fire Breath/Fire Ball and now can hit more mobs than you. So you are a sucker..being selfless in a selfish world. So expecting Tankers to take Taunt is admission that you expect Tankers to be a FOOL or SUCKER. No strong player will buy into that bullcrap.
Man... just a dozen kinds of stupid in that post. -
Quote:You could make it look like one big one if you have them overlap. My main base has two Orbits of Control back-to-back and overlapping.Hah, those look like a pair of space ships right there on the bottom left!
Quote:I just wanted to mention that it's entirely possible that there are SG's out there that are willing to coalition with younger SG's that are in need of things like porters. I have one such coalition on my oldest SG as the SG leader of the other group/solo was polite enough to ask while we were teaming and seemed to love my base layout. -

Or just before you zone. I usually activate offensive toggles just before zoning since offensive toggles will root you and zoning will let you cut that short.

Quote:I'll correct you.You will need a some way of healing (someone correct me but I believe longbow warden2 heal farms no longer work?). You can use destiny rebirth but it takes a while.
Arena heal farming works just fine.
Regarding Destiny, I HEAR that it's actually quite fast. I've never done it myself, though. -
Quote:Apparently not.Give me hell all you want about this thread, however keep in mind that I was told by GMs to make this thread to suggest the idea to the devs. If you're here to troll please move on, I have better things to do with my day.
While I generally voice strong opposition in threads like this one, I don't see a problem here. Any account that hasn't been touched in over 5 years probably should be fair game. Realistically, the majority of people wouldn't even be able to dig up their original account ID and password (or their serial codes, etc). -
Quote:Clearly not. If it was just a description, it would not be capitalized. It's a proper name."According to Buck Salinger, it's a well known fact that Fey creatures such as the Fir Bolg, Red Caps and Tuatha fear iron more than any other substance. This Iron Blade you recovered may be of some use against them. You may carry it for 3 days before returning it to the village." -Parawiki
I really think they were just using "Iron Blade" as a description based on the fact that according to mythology Iron weapons do more damage to certain creatures. -
Yeah, it's WAY messed up. I can understand some odd positions if someone gets blasted 40 ft and slams into a wall. However, when Malaise leaves his body in the signature arc, his body looks like someone crumpled it up and stomped on it. It's hideous.

I haven't soloed the villain one yet (ran it on a team of seven) so I haven't had time to scrutinize it. I have soled the hero version. My only issue is one that you noted: the 'name' enemies are complete wusses. Wade was the only challenging fight. To be fair, I was soloing it on a purpled, incarnated scrapper so that might not be a good yardstick. When I did the villain one on a team of seven, we expected to see AV's. Why didn't we have AV's? They can downgrade to EB's for soloers or small teams, but a team of 7 should have AV's.
Aside from the 'challenge' level of the enemies, I don't agree with the rest of your comments. I think the writing was stellar and the cutscene at the end was outstanding. -

I never said I couldn't understand how it might happen. I said it was ridiculous to structure your build around such an event as if it were a common occurrence.

Quote:Basically, that seems a good plan. I have an empathy defender that I play at low levels a lot and I did a slight variation on that. I slotted a few powers with level 25 enhancements, a few with level 30's and a few with level 35's.Slot most of my IO sets at LVL 30 giving me reasonable direct enhancement values and letting me retain my set bonuses down to 27
I figured out which bonuses I really wanted to keep at lower level (recharge and heal bonuses) and which ones I didn't actually need until later (extra recovery - since I have less powers at low levels). -
I know, right? Someone seems incapable of grasping the obvious.
At this point, does it really matter? -
Quote:Obviously you're keen on making assumptions to support your arguments. I seem to understand the situation better than you, but it doesn't lead to the certainty and inescapable conclusions you espouse. You seemed to be claiming that you need to plan your build around being completely immobilized when that is actually a rare occurence.Obviously, you have never been in a position where you are stuck and unable to move in any shape, form, or fashion. When you do, then you'll understand how it can happen.
Quote:BTW, have you done the Ray Cooling storyline yet? -

Quote:I think you've missed the point. That name is trite and cliche. When we get the darkness control set, the servers will be awash in characters named Dark Lord, Dark Prince, Lord of Darkness, Dark Master, etc, etc. A name like Arbiter Death is really only suitable for a joke character. Now, to be fair, I do make joke characters. I have already grabbed the name 'Dark Lord Darkness'.Let me get this straight. You named 7 characters Gulzow something, and the inspiration there was "somebody mispelled our family name over a hundred years ago"
I know Arbiter Death is lacking in subtlety.
Gulzow, on the other hand, is unique. It tells you instantly that you're dealing with a specific person (or someone deliberately copying their name).
