It happens. Like the time the red panda got loose in the Central Park Zoo in NY. It was found sitting outside its enclosure, staring through the glass, since it wanted to get back in.
The official explanation of how it got out? "We didn't know they could jump that high." -
Quote:How about you read more and speak without a clue less.
I followed every one of those links. I guess they're interesting if you want to read about PRICE SUPPORTS and how the government INFLUENCES prices of various commodities. But they don't FIX the prices. -

Quote:Oh. I wasn't even thinking about the forums.Well I checked back last year and there were still a lot of my old friends here, but this forum is hardly thriving, lol.
Quote:Infinity also looks to be one of the lowest populated servers, at least the times I am on, I'm lucky if there are 2-3 people in any of the zones I am in. -
Quote:I can make inf. to fund a project, which is the only time I bother. If I have an alt that I want to be decked out, I will deck it out. What I'm curious about is.. Why would anyone be a "real" marketeer?Quote:
If I want a new character, I spend a couple of weeks in game farming and marketeering to collect the 5 purple sets and 3 or more PVP IO's I need, plus an extra billion or two for extra stuff like Kin Combats and LOTG's. I spend it all within a day of making it.
When I have a character approaching the level where I will IO them (usually level 35 initially, again at 50 if I REALLY like the character), I have the funds sitting there and start setting up lowball bids weeks in advance. When I'm ready to IO, all the expensive stuff is sitting in storage waiting. -
Quote:Yeah, the time stamp says March 3rd, which was Saturday. I was going to ask how many International Date Lines there are between me and wherever you are. This is true, but it WAS Tuesday morning where I am when I made my post (a little after 1 AM to be exact), so we're both right
(Or at least I thought it was when I made that post - and this one. Apparently I have lost my sense of time.) -

Quote:As promised, it's back to the Shadow Shard this week. Yes, the Weekly Strike Target is level 44+, but the respec trial is so short and easy it hardly seems worth scheduling it. I'll probably run several, both red and blue, during the week.
For the second time, our schedule matches up with the Weekly Strike Target. Next week, we head back out to the Shadow Shards.
Saturday, March 10 at 1PM Eastern
The Legend of Ruladak (AKA Sara Moore TF)
Level 40+
Requires 8 to start.
Contact is in Cascade Archipelago (go to Firebase Zulu then check your map for the zone portal)
Worth mentioning: the contact is out in the middle of the zone, far from the regular zone portal. HOWEVER, she is right next to 'Mole Point Charlie' - a secondary zone connection that you are initially unable to access. To gain access to the Mole Point, you have to go the long way the first time and talk to the Mole Point Technician. After that you (that particular character) will be able to take the shortcut from the 'extra' portal in FBZ. I'll point this out to everyone when we're gathering at the contact.
1. Ironblade - Capt Tom Tachyon (time/rad defender)
2. Doctor A Maybe - maybe
3. Asgardian Blade - Asgardian Blade (scrapper)
4. Saint Jon - Heated Exchange (blaster)
5. As Astra - not sure what
6. Angelica Venger - Angelica Venger? (blaster?)
7. Flux Overlord - maybe
8. GATE-keeper - Olivia Neutron-Bomb (blaster) -
Quote:The Minotaur??? I always have a problem with the Honoree and Captain Holtz. The minotaur has always been easier for me. On anyone that can't go toe-to-toe with him, I kite him. The room he's in is wide enough that you can circle the perimeter with him following you and he'll only rarely actually manage to get a swing at you. Stick to short animation ranged attacks.then he turns around and wacks off 3/4 of my hp with one axe hit.
Quote:Trying this on my emp/rad defender, who is my only 50.
Quote:Honestly I would grab help/team for the boss, but Infinity seems like it is deader now than it was 2-3 years ago when I left the first time.
I would recommend:
Inf Badge Seeker
Infinity Incarnates
Infinity Badges 2.0
Infinity TFs
AE Anonymous
These are all active channels with 'serious' players. If I'm starting a task force, I'll broadcast on any or all of them to assemble a team. Also, you can specifically look for me. I'll help if I'm on. My globals are:
@Ironblade One
@Ironblade Too -
Quote:And how could you possibly after all this time continue to talk about a video-game in the real world terms of life and gain and loss.Quote:. They are knowingly and without care defrauding the people buying as to the value of the object they are buying.
in the real world this is a crime you go to jail for? so if you cant go to jail in this game for this type for rime dont compare it to life.
To answer your question, though, no that's not a crime and you don't go to jail for it. Because your comparison is BS. Does a store owner go to jail if they sell something for $50 even though they know they will put it on sale next week for $35? -
Quote:You only get the bonus XP ONCE PER WEEK PER CHARACTER.1.)To be honest, the current WTF is Statesman/Lord Recluse, which is open to level 45-50. Your friend who is level 45 would get a huge part of the way to 50 if they did STF a couple of times this weekend
No. The weekly strike target switches on TUESDAY morning. -
Quote:Actually, this is completely wrong.I think the sure way to know is if you have the Countdown to Call to Justice symbol in your active power display or if you have the Call to Justice power itself means you can earn A-merits. Frenzy symbol for villains.
You get the Countdown and then the power when you do a morality mission. If doing that morality mission CHANGED your alignment, making you a hero or villain, you are *NOT* eligible for A-Merits yet. If you changed alignment, you need to run ANOTHER set of 10 alignment missions and a morality mission. THEN you can earn A-Merits.
If you were ALWAYS a hero or villain, and did a morality mission to get that power, then you can earn A-Merits. -

Quote:This is probably not accurate. In order for you to be observing the task priority, you have the task manager active which means CoH is now a background task. If one instance of CoH is the foreground task, it will have a higher priority. Observing task priority changes it - Heisenberg's principle as applied to the task manager.I can start multiple instances - 2,3,4 no problem - but as soon as the second instance is up, Windows (7, 64bit version) is reducing the priority of both instances to lowest priority.
Quote:As soon as I manage to close one (very slow in game or fast via task manager) the other instance recovers to normal priority. Needless to say this leaves me unable to play with multiple instances.
I set each instance to /maxinactivefps 5
so when it's in the background, the graphics card doesn't have to work so hard on it. Can we get your system specs? -
Quote:But anyone who defends the current state of Tankers is just allowing them continue getting screwed over, just as they were screwed out of Fury and thrown under the bus by the devs to be low damage decoys.
In other words, if you're not part of the solution, you're part of them problem.
Proud to be part of the problem. -
Quote:Wait a minute... you've spent more in 3 days than you earned in years? Then where did that inf come from? Sploitz? You could help me in my new found addiction to IOing.
I've spent more Influence in the last 3 days on sets than I've earned in entire years of playing, since I don't play at 50. -
Clearly unwilling to fix it? Naturally. Or maybe it's one of those bugs that's hard to find because it's not consistent. It's not affecting everyone. I haven't had the forums log me out since some time last year.

Quote:I guess that's possible. However, I receive a tremendous amount of spam, most of it obviously and blatantly spam, which is simply diverted into a spam folder. The CoH emails don't show up at all.The e-mail provider has blacklisted the COH newsletters. This can be for a variety of reasons such as the rate the newsletters are sent out, or issues with the header information.
Quote:The customer never opted in. (It's surprisingly more difficult than it seems to sign up for these newsletters.) -
But maybe it is, after all, huh?
Quote:Besides, in a purely performance-based look at it, a decent buffer/debuffer is worth more as a force multiplier to the team than an otherwise "pure damage" AT with a level shift and t4 incarnate powers. -
-
Quote:The final fight in this task force is quite difficult and Capt Tom Tachyon isn't level-shifted yet, so I'll probably bring someone else.Quote:With no snark intended whatsoever, why would you bring someone else just due to not having a level shift?
I said the final fight is hard *AND* Capt Tom Tachyon isn't even level shifted. It's a contributing factor. Also, I'm taking into account further incarnate slots. Bringing someone with a level shift and all tier 4 incarnate powers will improve the performance of the team more than Tachyon. I'm not just joining a TF that someone is running, I'm the one running it. On the hard task forces, I'll bring whoever is most useful and Tachyon can sit this one out and get his Notice/salvage/whatever some other day. -

Quote:I've highlighted the part that is, quite honestly, a waste of time. Make the new toon, PL him to 22 so you can slot SO's, and you're in business. You don't need to be anywhere NEAR their level to team with them and make a huge difference. ESPECIALLY if you pick a powerset like force field.I'm looking to create a character that would compliment my friend's characters like a tank, healer, or possibly even mastermind. I'd then like to get to their level as quickly as possible so I can join the team and give them a better chance at survival (and getting themselves to 50).
