I'm extremely disappointed that people consistently make assumptions, treat them as fact, and then are disappointed about them. There was no statement about what fixes were "deemed more important". This fix was ready to go and presumably pretty darn simple to implement since there are lots of other systems that check your level.

You can attach two to each rez ring, so that's an additional 10%.

Still not very much. And you don't have a nurse to buy insprirations. Even when you unlock the Auto-doc and the combat logs, you don't get a full selection of inspirations like a Hospital Nurse sells, right? There is no way to buy an Awaken or Damage/Accuracy/Defence inspiration in a base, as far as I could gather.
Buy 3 and right click to convert to any type you want.

Yes, we know; it's an absolute slap in the face.
If something is not worth it to you, don't buy it. Or buy it with the free points you get every month. Or did you forget about those?

Market conditions are in NO WAY a consideration when I'm thinking about making a new character. And I would think that applies to the overwhelming majority of players.
  5. hmm.... Someone had asked after the Faathim TF what we were doing next and I said, "The level 50 task forces."
    oops.
After scanning back through the task force threads, I see that we did Statesman and Kahn, but skipped the Lady Grey TF. So.....

Saturday, March 31 at 1PM Eastern

    Lady Grey Task Force
    Level 45+
    Requires 8 to start.
Contact is in the Rikti War Zone.
This is a co-op task force so all alignments can participate.

Since the entire thread is about whether or not it's worth it to subscribe, I should point out that access to the Beta Server is *VIP ONLY*.

And so does this part, except without the red fog.

I *suspect* the answer is no. The TARGET for that power is an enemy.
  11. According to ParagonWiki, Keyes Reactor gives a better chance of a rare or very rare and Underground GUARANTEES a rare or very rare. All other trials have the standard odds.
  12. NO NO NO!
    We were PROMISED!
This is a SLAP IN THE FACE from a bunch of GREEDY PIGS who obviously HATE THEIR CUSTOMERS!

The Mega Millions drawing in NY is approaching $300 million. If everyone who has posted in this thread were to win and split it, I'd be perfectly fine with that.

Actually, if you read carefully, he didn't say that.
And I have heard from other sources that, in a power like Healing Aura, it affects the 'targets' - i.e. everyone you are healing. I have not tested it, but I do have one lying around so I guess I should copy to Test and see for myself.
  15. Regarding spawning them, you want the section on the linked page, "Zone Event", which says:
    Quote:
When either side controls their fourth pillbox, reinforcements spawn to support the other faction in the form of two to three Signature Heroes/Villains. At the fifth pillbox another wave of support is spawned if the first set of Signature Heroes/Villains has already been defeated.

It is not a factor. Having said that, level is a very large factor in gaining incarnate XP. Going from base difficulty to +2 makes a huge difference in iXP.

Your solution doesn't include access to the incarnate content. For a lot of people, that's a deal-breaker. It's not that we ignored your comments, it's just that many people (of which I am one) have reasons to stay VIP that outweigh all of your points.

One other in-game option, useful if you don't actually HAVE the power: type the power name in the chat window in square brackets. That will show the text in chat in BOLD and you will be able to click the bolded text and bring up the power details.
For example, type [Dry Heave] in your chat window.

Your netgraph in that image shows a ping of 1056. That's pretty bad. Is there any correlation between the netgraph looking like that and your crashing, or does your graph always look that bad?

The problem is the game code, which is most definitely much too vulnerable to the packet loss red netgraph spikes it has created for itself.
Yeah, the game is extremely sensitive to the connection condition. I haven't played any other online games to compare it to but, compared to non-games that maintain a constant connection, CoH is kind of feeble about it.

A new player has never had more. The OP, however, stated he has been around since launch (with some breaks) so he would have a lot more than 2 slots if he went Premium. If I went Premium, my main account would have 34 slots available.

Fair enough. But, clearly, the most important word in that sentence is "I". For a lot of people, once you hit Tier 9, there really is no reason to staying VIP. And, for lots of other people, there's plenty of reason.

I actually like all the incarnate stuff. Also, I have about 35 characters on my home server that I play at least occasionally. On my main account, I take the 12+2 deal every winter. On my second account, it's set to auto-renew at 6-month intervals. It's possible I'll let the 2nd account go Premium once it hits Tier 9 (still over a year away). Or maybe not.

P.S. If anyone is wondering why I don't just get more character slots on my main account - I got the second account long before there was any way to have more than 12 slots per server. And 12 just wasn't enough.

Imagine that; facts that contradict your 'fact'.
What it looks like happened, is that you got a less-than-knowledgeable GM. It happens. We've seen cases where two GMs gave directly contradictory answers. But support *IS* available to non-VIPs, no matter how much you claim otherwise.

    Just not fair!!

    Well....
"Are there vast areas of new and important information about the live game that I'm missing?!"

Maybe the desired answer was simply, "Yes."
