Quote:And don't you think that would have resulted in less casualties than using nuclear weapons? What would the military have done? Drive tanks through the streets while helicopters and jets fly around strafing and blasting the invasion? I suspect many friendly fire casualties would have resulted at the very least along with aliens being blasted.
Quote:If Iron Man's lasers and repulsors couldn't pierce the outside armor of the alien dragons, would military missiles have done so?
You're saying that weapons large enough that they need to be mounted on tanks or jets would not be more powerful than the weapons built into a GLOVE? Keeping in mind, of course, that Stark designed weapons for the military so their weapons would be better than what they have in 'real life'. -

Was running the Magisterium trial last night and we were trying for the 'Ready to Rumble' badge (defeat the 250 IDF and first 4 AV's in under 8 minutes) so we had a ton of pets out.
Defeat Shadowhunter, defeat Nega Pendragon, CRASH. My game locks up. I wouldn't necessarily think it a big deal, except almost the entire league was on Skype and we took a head count and found that 20 out of 24 players crashed at the exact same time. Just before the crash, several people commented on a massive lag spike (reminiscent of the issue in Emperor Cole's personal story mission).
So, we log back in and finish the trial.
A couple hours later, we get another crash at the EXACT same spot in the trial and it takes out all but 3 players.
Two crashes affecting 80% of the league, in the same night, at the exact same point in the trial? Sounds like a new bug has gotten in there. Or maybe it's a server issue and will go away after the next maintenance. One can always hope. Anyway, a bunch of people bugged it so we'll see what happens. -

The incarnate levels shifts apply for "incarnate content". Until recently, only the incarnate trials qualified. Now, all content in Dark Astoria, plus the DA arc all qualify as 'incarnate content'. (I mention the arc separate from the zone since once of the arc contacts is in another zone - i.e. Sister Solaris.)

Actually, they didn't even say that. They said that Super Pack 2 would be added to the Paragon Rewards system. It's entirely possible they will have SP1 and SP2 available at the same time, EXACTLY like they did with the first two Tier 9 costume sets.

When you're making comments like "And the typical male player gets to play this content more-or-less in-line with his world view", I don't anything needed to be 'twisted'.

err, no. It *IS* random. The fact that the odds are weighted does not preclude it being random. Random does NOT mean equal chance of all outcomes, like rolling a die.

Quote:I love how I haven't seen a single person care about anything other than the KB/KD IO. Seems a really well designed set.Quote:But yes, the proc is by far the jewel of the set. I'm not sure that's such a bad thing - much the same is true of Winter's Gift, or Miracle, or Achilles' Heel, or etc.
So, actually, sets where one piece is the favorite are quite common. -

Quote:Does she actually have any powers? Oh, wait, she does stuff in the Dark Astoria arcs. So why is she loitering in Brickstown and dealing with scrubs? You guys have a genie in the game. Can't you just ask her for a wish?
P.S. Hey, Black Pebble, what makes you so special? Your posts show up in the Community Digest *AND* the Dev Digest! H4X! -
You have to kill them within a 5 second span. You can't plan for any to be first. You have to keep them really close in hit points and time Pendragon's shield so it doesn't come back up at the wrong time.

Quote:On Infinity, I run a task force every Saturday at 1 PM EST and we don't rush or stealth anything. There is also a regularly scheduled TF every Tuesday at 10 PM EST. Both of these have open sign-ups on the forums, plus people just showing up. I usually get 10-16 people and we run two teams in a league so we can all chat. What I would like to know is, are there any established groups that regularly run various trials and TFs with the understanding that there may still be a lot of players who may not have done a given trial or TF and would like to be able to experience it for the first time without everyone else just blasting through it without taking the time to read the storylines, and hints, and instructions and whatnot?
I'm would think lots of servers have regularly scheduled runs like this. -
It looks like we had a stealth bug fix, probably on Tuesday. At least, I don't think it happened earlier or someone would have mentioned it and I think I would have noticed.
You know how the stealth IO will stack with itself when you zone? Well, it doesn't do that any more.
Also, how you could stack buffs like Force Fields before and after zoning? Not any more. Oh, the buff ICON will show up twice, but you only get the defense once.
So, was this done earlier and I somehow missed it? Or do these things still work and there was no stealth fix? Not sure why they felt a need to ninja this, anyway. How could this be exploited if people knew it was coming? -
Yes, yes, we've heard this song before. YOU disapprove. Therefore it cheapens the game for everyone; the game is going down the tubes; etc.

I've only done the arc 3 times, all solo.
- broadsword/regen scrapper
- stone/stone tank (did not need Granite)
- empathy/dark defender
The emp was the only one who died at all (twice, I think), but he was able to finish it. -
Gee, as I recall, there was originally only 3 spots for the Celestial set and then it was increased to SIX so they could have two full sets listed at once. So there is actually precedent that they could have BOTH super packs at the same time and only remove the oldest when a THIRD one is released.

Quote:meh. At any given time, I can't guess what alignment most of my brothers characters are - it seems all of the squishy ones (defs, corrs, trollers, blasters, etc) absolutely MUST have the Scorpion Shield.Well, I'm bothered by this desire to have scorpion shield on other toons
Quote:I'm fairly sure that you don't have to do that last part.
The requirement for getting alignment merits from the SSAs is that your most recently completed morality mission is a Hero one, which you satisfy while switching from Rogue to Hero.
Yep. -
Quote:My concept is that Gustav Richter wanted to look like his older brother.crabs are amazing. I don't mind the arms because crabs are so rare the arms are fairly unique. You just need a concept for them.
But he's more of a party guy. I have two power trays filled with macros for my favorite boombox tracks, dance moves and fireworks emotes. He looks a lot like John Travolta's character in 'Saturday Night Fever' and his name is Lord Footloose.
He's also fully IO'ed, has massive AoE, enough range defense to survive the return alpha strike and has both Tactical Training Assault and Leadership Assault so he boosts the entire teams damage by 30%. BAM! -
