Quote:Even in a very small base, I always put a medical room. That gives you the option of going to your base instead of the hospital. Sometimes, that is EXTREMELY useful. For example, if you die in the Storm Palace, the nearest hospital is in FBZ. If you have a base, you exit the base right back to where you died (or the mission door, if you died inside a mission).I just want to have space for a creation table and the salvage, inspiration and enhancements bins. Do I need to upgrade the plot for that? Is there anything else I'm not considering, or that is worth having for a tiny SG not interested in raiding or decor?
They did. However, the Mission Computer is now used to start the Cathedral of Pain trial. Of course, I don't think a little storage SG is going to be running that, so you probably don't need it. -
Quote:As others have said, 'weighted' and 'random' are not incompatible. We have been told flat-out by the devs that random recipe drops are weighted by usefulness. For example, almost anyone can use ranged damage so it drops a lot more often than sleep recipes.Sorry, I have never claimed they were not random. I do think it is set up to be a lot less random than people think it is; and this goes for many other recipe pools as well, and these things are at least partially mandated by what AT you are playing at the time.
And it has NOTHING to do with what AT you are playing.
As I recall, this was specifically in reference to regular drops. I don't recall any statements about purple drops being weighted or not. -
Quote:Nope. Firstly, the timer runs from TF completion to TF completion. Start time doesn't matter. They made that and some of the TF/trial timers 20 hours, because if I start my STF at 8:00pm and have 7 Scrappers on team, then we don't finish until midnight because we eventually all have to go get teh nukes and shivans and heavies and war whistles BUT we finally complete it.
The next night I want to run another STF for another shiny Damage/Range synthetic Hami-O, but -- whaaaaat, I gotta wait until midnight to start?!
Secondly, the tip 'fame' timer is 20 hours. The TF reward timer is 18. -
Quote:Like your claim that purple drops aren't random? So what's your story? No doubt Shield Walls and Hecatombs are falling like rain over your way? Its the Internet, and any wild claim will do.
Refer to the part I bolded and underlined. More desirable sets cost more than less desirable sets, i.e. the good/popular stuff costs more. I would think that is a normal circumstance in-game and in real life as well.Quote:Perhaps a sample size of two isnt all that many, I will grant you that. I therefore turn to the market, consisting of tens of thousands of players, where things such as Fortunata Hypnosises and Unbreakable Constraints are selling for considerably less than many more desirable sets. Now why might that be? -

When you enter the mission, he should be standing there juggling fire.

1. Male.
2. Tanks, controllers and defenders. I like keeping teammates alive.
3. Probably 90% blue side.
4. Twilight's Son's arc in Ouroboros. Upon the Psychic Plane. The Clockwork Captive (that's the one with Lou's garage).
5. It holds my interest since there's a lot of different things to do. Also, I like superheroes. I was playing the Champion PnP game when CoH came out.
6. The Myst series and mah jongg. No other online games.
7. 5 yrs 3 months
8. Counting only toons I actually play: I'm currently leveling 5 toons at 16, 19, 23, 39 and 46. The others (19 of them) are 50.
9. Yes, I bother with the math stuff. I IO all my characters once they get into the 30's.
I typically play at +1 level, regular team size. Unless I'm on a farming toon, then +0 level, team of 8. -

Quote:You can disconnect the leads from the motherboard to the LED. Just don't disconnect the power switch. That just isn't as easy anymore. Myold comp was on the floor but because of ventilation I put the new on on top and it's right next to me and I think the manufacturer found the brightest HD light possible. LOL I taped a pc of paper over it and it's still plenty bright!

Quote:Positron publicly stated that was a myth and that asking for it has no impact on getting it.Two things:
One:They don't often give it out when the person who found the bug ask for it.
Yep. No way in hell does this qualify. If you found a way to make the mission crash the server or give infinite XP, THAT would qualify.Quote:Two: It's only for potentially game-breaking bugs, so you wouldn't get it anyways. -
I'll be there. And I'll be sure to ask NGR Lass if she's having fun every 5 minutes. I'll bring one of my tanks.

Quote:And by "everyone I know", you really mean "everyone that I happen to hear complaints from". Guess what - the people getting good drops don't have reason to complain. Now as to the quote on this post, I would agree IF I WERE THE ONLY ONE THIS HAPPENS TO. I'm not; everyone I know gets 7-8 out of 10 purple drops as, one of the same 2-3 Fortunatas OR one of the same 2-3 Unbreakable Constraints. That's not random, folks.
Anyway, despite your experience, my experience is that it does seem quite random.
Guess what else - a sample size of two people DOESN'T PROVE SQUAT! -
Quote:Well, 'Captain Freem' came from the April Fool's post so he had to be a blaster.I've rolled many toons just because I thought of a cool name, with no regard to their backstory or concept, and barely any regard to their archetype. Has anybody else done this?
Someone suggested I make a shield tank named Ironshield, so I did.
'Hand to Hand Wombat' was too long, so I went with 'Unarmed Wombat'. Either way, the name suggested martial arts.
'Fidgety Girl' didn't automatically suggest an AT or powersets. I went with electricity and worked an exploding espresso machine into the story.
So yes, I've created characters just on the basis of the name, but the name usually suggests further character details. -

Question asked at 1:35 and answers posted at 1:37 and 1:38.

It's very simple. Once your character gets to the level you want to use for the random rolls, you turn off earning XP so the character stays that level forever. I have a blaster 'locked' at level 37.

Yep, every single toon has their own listing of vet rewards. Claiming a respec for Captain Blasto has no effect on any other characters.

Quote:How versatile. Because you're also doing a pretty good job of making yourself look foolish.First off, ditch the attitude, you only make yourself look foolish. I can do that for you well enough, I don't need your help.
Are we on this again? Do you seriously not get the difference between flipping and crafting?Quote:Flipping as defined by the people of this game is either:
Buying 1 product and then selling that product for a profit.
OR
Buying the parts of a larger product, assembling that product, then selling the completed product at a profit to the whole.
Sorry, but no. If you decide to shoehorn real life into terms used in this game, I guess this might work. In real life, though, there are finer gradations. A difference is recognized between 'speculating' and 'investing', for example.Quote:Hi. The stock market is only about speculation. Unless someone has developed time travel, I really fail to see how trading in stocks, bond, currency.. ect is anything other than speculation. You recieve no goods or services for your investment other than money. This is the epitome of flipping.
All you showed is that you're redefining words to make your point. What was that about self-serving?Quote:Hell, the entireity of Wall Street is dedicated to "Flipping" in one way, shape, or form. For you to classify only the day traders who manipulate prices for a VERY short amount of time as the only "flippers" in the market makes you look just silly. You call them speculators. As I showed above, everyone in the market even a tiny bit is a speculator. Your definition is only self-serving in this case. -
And.... your name will be 'red' in the SG window when you're online. At least, I think it's supposed to be red. It looks more like hot pink.
-
Odd.... I was going to guess a wombat, or perhaps a capybara.
-
I have an energy/energy blaster named Captain Freem.
-
Quote:Example fail.Oh for crying out loud...
Who here has a retirement fund?
*Looks at all of the raised hands*
You're all flippers. Every last one of you. You're buying something with the sole intention of selling it for more than you paid for it.
That's not the same as flipping. Unless, of course, someone is buying and selling the same stock OVER AND OVER. Yes, some people do this. But most don't. -
