Quote:I think it's at your end somewhere. I do a lot of trials. The only time I ever crashed in one was back on the first day of the ORIGINAL trials. The only lag I ever had was on large teams in the BAF and that was eventually fixed. I have yet to crash or mapserve even once in the Keyes trial.because I really cannot see how things are not going to be worse. I realize I have an older PC. However ever since Issue 18 the lag has the worst I have ever seen. I never lagged and had so many mapserves. Even playing on my wife's Mac which is a far better machine that mine there are mapserve and lag issues.
Today after waiting 35 minutes to get a Lambda and getting it started I was mapserved loggin in.. Quit to screen, logged back in.. tried to rejoin.. mapserved AGAIN.. -
We have now been told flat-out that they will not sell badges.
This was on the Friday Freedom Facebook chat thing. -
The highest bid is matched with the lowest selling price.

The Keyes Master badge was seeming onerous even before it went live. It just keeps getting worse.

I don't currently have the beta server installed. My 2nd drive has 660GB free, so maybe I will at some point.

Quote:So what? There is an endless litany of thread subjects that come up again and again. e.g. 'The game is dying", "My server is empty", "This AT is overpowered", "This AT is useless". Who cares?Ever since the first Anniversary badge I predicted that this debate over whether there should ever be a way to get previous year badges or not was going to haunt this game forever. The fact that threads like this one still routinely pop up proves my concern about this.

Thank you. That was my point. But I guess it makes sense that if he would make such a ridiculous nit-picky post in the first place, he's going to keep following the same train of thought.

No problem at all. I ran two accounts with a Core2Duo and 2GB of RAM. Any recent system will be more powerful than that (I built that system almost 4 years ago). Now I have a quad core with 8GB. Since the Test Server is considered a different account, maybe I'll try running 4 instances to see how it goes.

Also, it seems likely that the GMs have no way of determining just who is eligible for an Empyrean and who is not.

Actually, they're not in the same category. Every anniversary badge text is tied to a specific time (i.e. anniversary) and the badge itself has a number on it to indicate the anniversary. The Winter event badge text does NOT refer to a specific time period. The ones that make any reference at all simply say "Winter" or "Winter Event", but not WHICH Winter.

I was seeing this problem on multiple teams the other night and NONE of my characters have visited Null the Gull.
Interestingly (maybe), I was only seeing this in regular MISSIONS and never during a incarnate trial. -
Quote:Pretty ones.So what lore pets are people picking out for their tanks? Is it basically all the same or would something fit a SS/INV better?
Seriously, though, I see a lot of people taking the Seers because so many AV's have ridiculous resistance to smashing/lethal and that's what most of us throw. If you want to up your survivability, I'd take the one (don't recall the name) that gives you one damaging pet and one indestructible buffer. -
Quote:Will we be able to buy ANY vet rewards? Yes.I've read a few threads about Freedom but I didn't see an answer to this so I'm going to ask here, will we be able to buy Vet rewards (like no Travel preReq. or Nemesis Staff, ect. ect.) with Points?
Which ones? We don't know yet.
My guess would be costumes for sure, powers almost certainly.
Weird stuff like skipping the travel power prereq; I have no clue. -
Quote:And, at that point, they are no longer shards so Serva was actually correct. But the only thing you can do with shards is build Alpha abilities and you can also build Alpha abilities with threads.

Well, repetition helps you remember things. I was thinking that if I listed him a couple times, it would help him remember to show up. After all, repetition helps you remember things. Also, when you repeat something, people are more likely to remember it.

Given how many have signed up already, I don't think we'll have trouble assembling two full teams. Since so many people don't visit the forums, I plan to announce the TF on some global channels a couple days in advance.
We have some flexibility in team size. Say that 14 people show up. Form a team of 8 and have one quit. The remaining 7, plus my 2nd account, form another team then my other account quits. Also, I don't think it would be hard to find some padders off global channels if we need them. I recently padded for a team that wanted to DUO the STF, so they needed 6 padders. -
Now I'm going to have at least two sets of pets at Tier 4. I took the Seers originally since:
1) They seemed less 'tech' than the other choices. (Ironblade is magic origin.)
2) They did psi damage to balance his lethal.
Now I have started up the tree for the Polar Lights because they look so cool. On the other hand, the Storm Elementals aren't too shabby either. At any rate, either of these is much more suited to a magic character. -

Sometimes negatives posts should be 'attacked'. Some posts are genuinely stupid. Just because person A makes a negative post and person B 'attacks', doesn't automatically mean person B is a 'fanboi'.
