I was going to say that something like this might happen. A lot of other level restrictions are being changed (Ouroboros, for example). I figured they were going to get rid of the travel prerequisite at some point. Maybe that's what's going to happen.

um... shoot. I saw a list yesterday and can't recall where it was.
Never mind. Recalling that one was called "Burnout" let me search. It's here.

    Quote:
Flight gets Afterburners. You cannot use any other powers while it is active.
Super Jump gets a leap attack that will probably work like shield charge.
Teleportation gets long distance teleport, but I only got to level 4 so I don't know how it works.
Super Speed gets Burnout, which instantly recharges all primary and secondary pool powers, but costs 48.5 end, reduces max end by 25% and has a 30 minute base recharge.

What makes a badge any more or less important than a costume that is a vet costume? They both represent the same thing, they are a vet player. Still don't believe me I'll come back on it's launch date and say "I told ya so again"
Ah, so you don't actually KNOW.
  4. I disagree. I have 'Avoids The Green Stuff' on multiple toons due to helping others get it, but have not been able to get 'Loves A Challenge' on ANY yet.

I would imagine that's the reason. I was just saying we have never actually been told. BTW, I agree with that reason. I think task forces SHOULD require a minimum number to start. But I do think that way too many of them are set to 8 when they don't need to be. Six would make life a lot easier (with regard to assembling a team).

Unfortunately for that plan, the minimum setting allowed is 15 days.

Yes, EASILY. I know someone who routinely runs all-defender Statesman TF's. I was on an STF with 6 controllers, 1 defender and 1 blaster. We were playing like idiots and still, no one died.

It was too low. Originally, XP was divided among people on each team and that used existing technology and worked correctly. However, it had the problem (particularly in the BAF) that one team (fighting an AV) might get a lot less XP than another team (fighting the adds). So they changed the system to divide XP evenly across the entire league - and broke it in the process.

Supposedly, today's patch fixes it. We'll see.
  15. With a bubbler on the team, the CoT aren't going to be a concern.
  16. Ironblade (BS/regen scrapper) has all Tier 4, with Lore having two Tier 4's, and Destiny having two Tier 4's and a Tier 3 (I was undecided).
Agent Pitchblende (earth/rad troller) - three Tier 4, two Tier 3.
Alloy (invuln/EM tank) - one Tier 4, four Tier 3.
Dark Devices (dark/archery def) - five Tier 3.
Dr Dolomite (stone/stone tank) - two Tier 4, three Tier 3.

I'm working my way through them, getting a character all the powers I want before moving to the next one.

I have 3 others with the Alpha slot at Tier 3 and no other slots even unlocked.

If your ONLY goal is purples, change the level to -1.
HOWEVER, be aware that this will:
    1) Prevent you from getting Shards.
    2) Cause regular IO recipe drops to be level 49 instead of 50 and worth less inf.
For these reasons, I would stick to +0 level.

  20. First, I try to get a name that I absolutely must have. If it's not available, I come to the forums and write a long ranty post about what a slap in the face it is and that the devs need to run the script to free up the good names. I might even threaten to ragequit....

Actually, I don't have a pattern. My last character, for example, was based on the fact that I wanted to play a controller with the plant and cold sets. Everything else came from that. His name is Al Pine and he looks like he's made of wood and leaves. His lower legs are a rich green and he gradually goes through fall colors to white hair (snow).

My previous character was made after reading a comic about Schrodinger's Cat. She a peacebringer catgirl named Quantum Qat.

CoH is not an expensive game, but one monthly fee is enough for me.
    One word: Premium.
Pay for a second account for just one month and when CoH:Freedom goes live, your second account will be Premium status. You can also not pay at all, and make a Free account once CoH:Freedom goes live.

The person you are replying to actually referred to a range of x4 team size to x8 team size - they didn't mention increasing level at all.

Rent is no longer based on plot size. Even the largest plot is rent-free.
Rent is based on storage/workshop items. Go here for exact pricing.

On the one hand, there are many builds that can farm at x8 without the level shift.
On the other hand, the level shift 'effectively' makes you 51 but you continue to earn rewards based on being level 50, so it really is very helpful.
