As far as clipping goes, I dont think it should really be a factor anymore. Has anyone tried to use the new Organic Armor gloves with a shield? Parts stick through the shield, making it look as if the shield isn't so much something you have learned to use, more like it is simply something stuck to your arm that you have learned to work with. And even that, not a big deal.

The freedom the game allows. It is very customizable, bases, MA, and SO many character options. Obviously great for making super heroes or villains, but if you WANT the fantasy characters you have them. If you want a monk, you got it. If you want a SPACE monk, you got it. (I have one).
I also have some fantastic friends in this game, and have met some great people. -
IN! Elec/Elec brute, Hornak, ready to squish the alien competition!

I would be interested, but I am going to see Iron Man II somewhere in that time frame. If it ends up getting delayed a couple hours, I might be up for it. Can bring a Granite, a Kin defender, or an Empathy defender.

Well, warning all my friends that our favorite TF is undoable. REALLY not happy about this. I always looked at the Hami mission as the most challenging part of the TF, but one of the coolest missions to do as well.
Seriously, if the TF is too easy, then relook at the rewards. People do this TF over and over because it is FUN. Because it is co-op, high level, and just plain fun. WHY screw with that?
I seriously hope this is reconsidered. Until then, I will miss the LGTF, but will consider it offline until it is do-able by a normal team again. -
Love the video, Samuraiko! Been seeing you mention this for a little while now, and been really looking forward to it, it was awesome.
Watching it I kept thinking "Man, I remember that." When the arenas were construction zones, and then first came out and they were THE place to be. Croatoa's launch and immediately becoming my favorite zone (still is!). Heck, it feels like RWZ hasn't been around for THAT long.
Thanks for the memories, and here's to six more years! -
My new favorite description of a power:
Hellfire Aura (power used by the Hellfire Demon, second tier 2 demon you get):
"You are on burning due to being too near the Blazing Aura."
(Note, this power ONLY does toxic damage.) -
I'd like to thank Chaz, the admin that was spawning poor, defenseless monsters and AVs on Victory last night. We had a great time with him, and he did some pretty fun things. My favorite...concept...was the haunted City Hall. Basically, he filled it with ghosts, and Ghost Widows. Five of them. Played my tank the entire night, and had 3 of them on me for most of a fight, the ONLY way I survived it was because they were taking turns Black Holing me, and as soon as I got out of it I had time to taunt a couple times before another put me in it.
My friends and I definately enjoyed it, though were a little dissappointed that for some reason Chaz didn't have access to the Kronus titan, which we saw an awful lot of last year. -
This is pretty much the prime gaming time for my little group, but if there are only a couple of us on and spots open I'll see if they are interested. We ran this one not TOO long ago, and it's definately a once-in-a-while SF.

I think it's great, Victory Badges will finally have some spots open up
-
Wont be able to make this one, wont get home until 10 eastern =/
And I take offense to the title of this thread! I mean...I'm not a GOOD alien alive, but...grr...someone's gettin zapped for this! >=( -
This is a controller right?
If so, this build leaves open a lot of options, I havent had an earth/cold, but I have had earth controller builds, and I have an active /cold with a good build on it.
I'm a big supporter of the idea that there is never too much debuffing, so personally I would start with 5 sets of 5 (if not 6) Analyze Weakness sets, the bonuses that set gives are pretty good. That right there would give you +15% damage, +55% accuracy, and can be put into any of your primaries pretty much, and several of your secondaries.
I'd then build around that, throw some luck of the gamblers in the shields and Arctic Fog, and anything else that didnt conflict too much with the existing sets.
It might be silly to do an accurate build like that with all the defense debuffing though, but you are already about as endurance friendly as it gets with Heat Loss (I can easily cap my recovery with that power if I run in for it, and my /cold is 39), and most of your damage will be from your pet, and just overall DOT. You could go for a recharge build, but I personally don't see the point with that combo, except maybe to try to make Heat Loss perma.
After that the only real option I see is a survivable build, which would be mostly dependant on 6 slotting for set bonuses. You already have some defense from Arctic Fog, so just trying to raise that up to be higher, without letting your role as a controller, buffer, and debuffer suffer. -
YES! IN!
Sign me up as Hornak, elec/elec brute. -
Same here, I get off work at the exact time you are looking at starting, but if a second one is done I'm IN.
I am telling the Something Crazy crew, so if any of them are available they will probably make an appearance. -
As far as getting with PERC to organize events, it's not a bad idea, but it would only be a matter of time before the comittee decided to simply stop including PERC, negating the need to even have PERC at all, as it could easily turn into a replacement for it. I dont think this is really necessary with PERC around and active.

I have a toon that would fit in perfectly (fire/ice controller), but really dont think I will be able to make it. Grr...next time!

Quote:You, sir, forget the most obvious of the female hotties in this game. I speak, of course, of the lovely Swan, ever alert at Manticore's side in Brickstown. Is there a 'McDreamy' in the pantheon of COH signature characters? If a poll was taken, I'm not actually sure who the fans would pick. Psyche and Ghost Widow are obviously popular female characters, but who're the top two male characters? Surely there must've been a thread about this at some point, right?
I...didn't know that was a problem o.o
*makes note to shave later* -
That actually sounds like a lot of fun, but sadly I will be at work =/
My Traps defender also isnt quite high enough, might have to start focusing on him incase you ever do this again. -

I'd have to go with Guldo Golem. A tiny little guy, made of stone with weird symbols painted on him, and a hint of mischief in his eyes, that can suddenly turn into a giant rock guy, wielding a carnie mallet, who can shoot lasers from his eyes and teleport.

If a Rogue is in Paragon City (or vice versa) and drops an Ouro portal, or uses someone else's...do they go to the hero or villain zone?
This not only opens up the question of which zones can I shortcut to, but can a Rogue team with Heroes to do flashbacks or Ouro TFs?
I really hope there is a system for this, if you are in Paragon, you go to Hero, if in Rogue Isles, you go to Villain. Or perhaps adding a portal in Ouro where you can go to the opposite side's Ouro, if you are able to go to the opposite side at all (if you are a rogue/vigilante) -
*stares, hypnotized by the wondrous images that Television has graciously decided to share with them*
Television makes good points, but what of my other temptations? I have already given up books and radio, but what of X-Box, playing blue-side, or that place through my front door with that bright thing above me that hurts my eyes so much? Sometimes I cannot help myself, I have to try these other things...
Though if Television could bring back Mystery Science Theater 3000... -
Ran into an interesting situation last night, and wanted to see if anyone else was aware of this:
We (myself and several other regular CoH friends) decided to run a Positron TF on some alts that we had made. Of the five of us, the highest level was 13, so we gave the star to her, knowing that those TFs will have you fighting the highest level of the TF regardless of the team's level (in this case, 15-16). Super SK the rest of us to 12, make sure the difficulty settings were all on normal (hey, we are all lowbies, and not a terribly well organized alt group as far as our powers go), and we were ready to go.
First red flag came up when as soon as the leader of the team leveled, she said in Skype that she was no longer getting experience, at all, just influence and prestige. We had her check her settings, and found she had it set to not get exp when exempted. Sure enough, when she leveled, she became 14, but was exempted to 13. When the rest of us leveled past 13, we were also exempted. This happened through several missions, leveling did not help, and even when we decided we were not going to finish it all in one night, I logged in this morning to see if the level would adjust to my level as the new leader (now that I am 15), but I am still exempted to 13.
For whatever reason, the TF is exempting us to the level of the person who formed the TF at the time it was formed. For Positron, it makes it rather difficult.
I cant help but see this, not only as something that makes this TF so much more difficult, but as a possible exploit. Maybe not with Positron specifically, but another TF could be started by someone 2-3 levels below the max level, and if it was full of some spec'd out characters, the level could be raised further with the difficulty settings, leading towards some big exp, or influence drops.
Anyways, have not confirmed it with other TFs to see if it is the case in everything, or just Positron, our crew usually has someone above the max level start it, but wanted to let people know to keep it in mind. -
Your orignal request for the powerset only scrappes and stalkers can get, eh, I am fine with the idea of it only going to certain ATs, does not bother me. The problem with your suggestion is that you are wanting three phase shift powers, one that allows you to attack despite being out of phase. Out of phase means you cannot be touched unless your opponent is out of phase. So even for 10 seconds like you suggest, you are invincible unless they also have that power...AND you can kill people (I have seen many a PVP battle end in less then 10 seconds, especially if you are giving this power to stalkers). There are no tier 9 powers in this game that make it where you CANNOT be killed. Some make it very difficult, especially in a 1 on 1 fight, but you still CAN be killed with them activated. And you are suggesting this for a non-tier 9.
So...gunna go ahead and say 'no'.
