It's an annoyance. One that shouldn't exist. But it is what it is.
    This...

    And this...

  3. Hmmmm...

Yep you really gonna want Invincibility.
And if I could get through the 3rd mish of the ITF on my Claws/EA solo, I have no doubt an Invulnerability Brute could do the same and have a much easier time doing it...
  4. Definitely thinking of giving it a shot. Trying to find a day or two of free playing time and gonna have to put up some inspiration storage thing in my empty base. I'll probably need some temps also to even have a very small slight chance on this.
  5. A whole lot of reading going on here...

And yes IH is nice to have. 90 seconds of darn near unkillable is always welcome.

I think I'm gonna be running around with the current build for awhile. I got like 1.5 bill left and thats probably gonna go to my Katana/Regen.

If I am going for softcaping s/l/f/c/e/n on a WP, I'd probably go with a DM. That way the lower regen you're gonna end up with could be picked up by SL.

Plus I really can't afford those PvP IO's

If the minimum chance to hit suddenly became 1%, making the soft cap 49% defence, my SR scrapper would reach that in short order and be even more of an unstoppable god than he is at 45%.

I expect any changes to IO set defense bonuses to involve making it harder to reach the softcap by lowering the defense bonuses. However I am not sure that IO set defense bonuses will ever change, because for every zany WP scrapper with capped S/L defense there are another ten who think that slotting six defense buff SOs in Heightened Senses is a worthwhile investment. Leveraging set bonuses is overrepresented on the forums compared to the general population of the game, and there's a ton of players out there who just don't use sets at all.

To address the OP: hell yes brutes are fun! I am a slave to my fury bar and I like it that way
Was thinking that instead of having it floor the tohit of the critters at 45% maybe raise that up a bit. Giving them say 55% tohit would then raise the cap to 50%. Just a thought, though lowering defense bonuses on the IO's works just as well. Not sure which way would be easier.

    Yep that was fire/regen...
    I still have that build

Could see some like this happening. But maybe not in the IO's but rather an increase on the softcap, thinking that would be the easiest way.

Inv, WP, DA, Regen, Fire sitting at the softcap. Won't suprise me at all if they do some rework on defense.
  10. Agreed..

So maybe they should just take it off?
  11. 17.3 it looks like

Might not be a good idea to have it at 60%
  12. finesse...
    scrapper...
    super strength...
    all in the same thread

    Interesting...

    Claws/Regen Help

    Claws:

Swipe / Strike: Pick one. I like Swipe because of its animation but Strike does a bit more damage. No choice here, you gonna have to pick one. (Maybe pick up both while leveling and respec out 1 after)
Slash: You're gonna want this one. Your second best ST attack. Pick it up as soon as it opens.
Spin: You are also gonna want this one. Your best damaging aoe attack. Pick it up as soon as it opens or shortly there after.
Follow Up: This is gonna be your build up type power. Take it and use it everytime it's up.
Confront: I can't comment on this piece of carp as I have never picked it up on all my scrappers and I suggest you don't as well
Focus: Your best ST attack... Does range with KD. Pick it up as soon as it opens.
Eviscerate: Claws users are split on this one. Some loves it, some can't stand it. I am in the can't stand it side. It is a cone and does have a nice damage but the animation is just a bit lenghty, which could be tourble on a regen. Run with it for a bit and see if you like it.
Shockwave: People are split on this as well. Has a wide range cone with good damage but it does KB. Some don't like the KB but I for one loves this stupid thing. Could give you some breathing room while waiting for some of your click powers to come back. Run with it for a bit and see if you like it.

You are a scrapper ----- all attacks should be 6 slotted
And sorry if that's not detailed enough. I am not much into details but could answer some questions though.

Regen: let's see if I could find Werner's thingy on this.

Ohhhh goody... Was having a hrad time looking for it....
  14. I don't even think its possible for a solo scrapper to complete a regular STF let alone a MoSTF. I could totally see LR taking my new shiny sword, putting it side ways and sticking it up my... well lets not get in to too much details here
I'm up for giving it a shot someday though (even though I know its gonna be a big failure)... packing a whole lot of ins/temps with free refills. Probably not anytime soon, as for some reason this month has just been a bit busy

And thanks for the offer Gibson
  15. Igor got some good points there.
I do like the HS slotting. That's how I have mine slotted on my BS/Inv and Kat/WP but that might not be the best way to go on a Regen. Might go with 5 Scirocco in it, maybe find a ways to slot 6 Numina's in Integration, put Mako's in Disembowel and maybe some slot on Maneuvers. Endurance looks like might be an issue even with FA turned off, so might need to work on that.

What I'm thinking I remember (though my memory sucks, so maybe my subconscious is just making it up and pretending it's memory), is someone in jest suggesting that we go solo a pylon with two RWZ challenge spawns beating on us. This would be back when the RWZ challenge was considered hard, and taking down a pylon was at the high end of DPS. So I think it was in the Scrappers bragging about both stage. And I think the pylon->2xRWZ was sort of a response to the bragging, "Oh, yeah? Then why don't you do this?" It was obviously impossible at the time, so much so as to be a joke. I remember what I thought was JUST in the realm of possibility at the time was to solo a pylon with a single RWZ challenge spawn beating on you, and I think I mentioned it, and I'm not sure how many people believed it could be possible. I made a number of attempts on Sergei, but the closest I came was having the Pylon down to 25%.
Aid Self on my Claws/SR just takes a big chunk off of my damage. Attempted a pylon with 1 RWZ challenge spawn a few times with no success. My BS/Inv might be able to do the pylon with 1 RWZ spawn (no self heal), but his damage is just too low to keep me interested.

    Powersets

If we go by my Character selection screen...
Then the worst ones would be Dark/* and */Dark :P

But like others had said... Its All Good!!!
  18. I've got to say though...
Outside of some heavy debuffing crowds, this is probably the toughest scrapper I have yet, and I got a few of them.
Just took down a Pylon with 2 RWZ Challenge spawns on top of me. Sure it took me roughly 30 minutes, those darn slows messin up my attack chain, but I got it done
  19. lol tanks!!!

    IkidIkid
    800% Regen - 73.8 HP/sec (1 foe in RttC)
    2211 HP
    f/c at 36.6 defense - e/n at 45.5 defense
melee/lethal cap with 1 application of DA
    Katana/WP

    389% - 30.9 HP/sec
    1902 HP
    melee/range/aoe soft cap
    Claws/SR
  20. hehe
    good catch

Could probably also lose that 4th slot on Stamina and you got youself an extra slot. Who says we're starving for slots? Maybe put in another damage proc on Spin...
  21. Good pointers up there...

But if you really want maximum effectiveness...
    Just give it to me

Never really pay attention on the levels, but I think I've seen them at 50's or my memory is just failing me here.
  23. Good points on the HP...
Though I am rather lazy on getting the TF accolade. Don't have it on any of mine
Could see a lot of changes that could take place going that route though. Something that I probably wont get around to
