New Build for Riez

This is my BS/Regen scrapper that hasnt had a build upgrade since the first wave of new IO sets. I put this new build together based on only needing to use one respec to pull and switch IOs. (I know. Im being lazy) I figured out a build that might work out with what I already had slotted with a few new IOs and PP.

Riez will be used for exemping every now and then, for TFs, and End Game PVE content. Solo and an ocasional teaming. Maybe a few stress test like RWZ challenge or Pylons for kicks. The limits are no Purples or PVP IOs. Anything else can be gotten with ease.

Wow. No opinions or improvement suggestions on this build at all?

You're waaaaay over the hp cap with dull pain perma'd. I would take the Eradications and Sciroccos out of head splitter and replace with 6 obliterations for another 3.75 melee defense. You have a lot of hp bonuses that really aren't doing you any good. That puts you over rule of 5 for the 5 recharge bonus so I'd move some things around, possibly change the crushing impacts in parry for something else. Also, if you drop the end/rech IO for the healing/end, you get another 25 hp which will let you drop more set bonuses with no adverse effects, and it only lengthens the DP recharge by 3 seconds, which is still well beyond perma.

I don't think you have enough recovery to be running as many toggles as you have turned on in your build. Not counting the +end proc in QR you only have 1.94 EPS (2.14 *on average* with the +end proc) for your attacks, and BS tends to be fairly costly. Are you sure you need both aoe's plus parry plus hack/dis/headsplitter? Taking the fitness pool is obviously not required for any character, but I don't think I could live without hurdle on any of my characters. YMMV, but that's just my opinion.

If you are going to keep slice and whirly, I would also 6 slot them with obliterations - assuming you have the recovery to use them (oblit has very little end redux) I think it's a far superior set to scirroco's with the +5 recharge (slot attacks differently) and 3.75 melee defense.

Hopefully this is of some benefit. Good luck!

The lack of obliterations was due to:

1 I'm at the 5% cap
2 two parrys soft cap me
3 the endurance

The slotting for head splitter was mostly for the total values over the non needed HP bonus. I did want the range def in eradication, though.

The two aoes are handy and allowed for aoe def.

I actually had fitness and no hasten or manuvers or PP in the oringinal build. I just wanted to see how it would look. I also had conserve power.
I could drop manuvers and pick back up for those long fights I seem to always get into.

I hear you on hurdle though. I wanted to pump more def and +rech in.

Ill give it another look when I get home.

Igor got some good points there.
I do like the HS slotting. That's how I have mine slotted on my BS/Inv and Kat/WP but that might not be the best way to go on a Regen. Might go with 5 Scirocco in it, maybe find a ways to slot 6 Numina's in Integration, put Mako's in Disembowel and maybe some slot on Maneuvers. Endurance looks like might be an issue even with FA turned off, so might need to work on that.

The current build has sic 5 slotted in all three of the aoes. I could move one slot to manuvers to a def/end IO. And after thinking about it, the +rech proc in disem. may not help as much as I had first thought.

Its strange that I have never thought of six slotting numina. Ever.

How would one more end mod on QR? Its just that 5 slotting disem seems.... Wrong. Maybe I can pull the heal from IH.

Looks like ill either have to start all over via build two or use more then one respec.

It's finals week and I got scheduled for 40 hours at mah job, so you'll have to excuse the fact that I took a little longer than normal to post.

The first thing I'm noticing is that you're going to have endurance problems. You generally want to allow yourself at least 3 end/sec for a decent attack string (BS is no worse than the others, in fact, it's easier on the blue bar than Kat because it can't do quite as much on the top end), and you don't have nearly that much. You might want to consider dropping a power, switching from FA to Tactics, and going with CP (or just straight out going with CP). It'll lower your endurance in multiple ways (having CP and Tactics is cheaper than FA) and actually provide you more +tohit. Of course, you won't have any tohit debuff resist, but you're running with enough defense to get around most tohit debuffs and have plenty of acc and tohit besides. Working to get some more end redux into you toggles (like Maneuvers, possibly?) and more recov out of PP (which is actually stronger than QR if you slot it right) would also work in your favor as well.

Concerning exemping, remember that there is no level you can exemp to that prevents you from having your powers 18 and below (the lowest you can exemp to is 14 for the first tier ouros). You'll always have Whirling Sword, Slice, Parry, and Hack, which is more than enough for a rudimentary attack string. You may want to consider getting rid of Slice to free up a power selection and some slots.

Another thing to remember, +hp is largely pointless. You'll actually get better results when you use a generic IO rather than that 3rd Perf Shifter or Numina's.

Here's something more akin to what I'd do. It achieves softcap with a single Parry and is most definitely infinitely endurance sustainable. The damage should be roughly the same, as is the recharge. The only thing that your build has over the one I'm giving you is 6 more hp/sec, which doesn't really matter much within the confines of builds that are capable of putting out nearly 150 hp/sec.

Now why is everyone hatin' on slice? Lol. Seriously, I keep thinking of that horrid Posi TF I ran with Riez to finish up TF commander. I didn't have any attacks but hack, slice, and brawl. I didn't even have sands of mu yet. And accolades or mez protection!
I keep forgetting about the exemp changes when I build. I need to stop that.

Anyway, that build is pretty nice and in price range. Looks like 2nd build it is. Ill just gradually pull stuff from the first build when the 2nd one is finished. (Still too lazy to flat out strip it)
