  1. Running an ice armor stalker and was wondering should I focus on melee defense at all? Because S/L/E/N are softcapped easily with ice and was wondering if i should try and softcap melee or go with resistance?
  2. Icesphere

    ??/Ice

no kinetic combat, but lots of touch of death.
  3. Icesphere

    ??/Ice

Thanks. I have 3 stalkers, all at 50. /elect, /wil/ and ice. I would probably rank my willpower as best for survivablilty. Good very defense, resistance and he is capped for hp without any powers. But i haven't really finished my /elect stalker yet though. But from my standpoint now he seems to have a lot of potential when finished. I'll let you know if i finish him within the next week or so.
  4. Icesphere

    ??/Ice

He's 50 and i'm fiddling with the io's right now. But he is softcap with s/l/e/n and 41% with melee. I even went as far to go get leviathon for him. He isn't the most survivable stalker i have had; it requires a little strategy. But I will say he is my most fun stalker to play as.

But he has little to no resistance besides cold (which is capped). So he can dodge a lot but when he gets hit it kinda hurts.

    ??/Ice

I was with you just a few weeks ago. I was considering rolling a dark/ice stalker cause all the heals makes it seem very survivable, but besides heal and midnight grasp not much else going for it. And has one annoying cone attack that i really don't care for. But I got to talking to a fellow stalker friend online and he convinced me to go the energy route or electric. I decided to go to energy melee, because it looks better (concept wise) to go with ice. Zero AoE, but very nice ST damage.

I made a build on mids but he has since been tweaked a bit and has some nice defense.
  6. I was thinking more of a blaster with /willpower. Hey a man can dream, can't he?
  7. My main is an nrg/nrg blapper. So secondaries are very important to me. And mental manipulation is probably one of the best secondaries for blasters.
  8. Only thing i see different from what i would have done is the io's. I would have replaced all the kinetic combats with them with touch of death and mako's bite to get soft cap on melee and range.
  9. It wouldn't let me bring up i mids. You have a data chunk I could use?

My claws/elect stalker would want a word with you. Good resistance and with set bonuses can softcap s/l def and melee/range/aoe def. Of course AoE defense is capped with hide for stalkers >_>
  11. Icesphere

    buying powers?!

Save up for a few months and get it. they did it that way probably hoping people will pay for more points to get it sooner. It's still a business and I think they are taking a page from Zynga since they made about 850 million in 2010 by micrtransations.
  12. I was thinking about picking stun and going with stupefy. It has a set bonus for range defense, which is part of what i'm aiming for. But i checked mids and -def debuff looks very good as well. What did you guys go with, i'm at odds here?
  13. I'm still learning things and i didn't know hide used zero endurance.
  14. Sorry, didn't know that people prefered data chunks lol. Okay, here you go

  15. Starting to get the feeling that nobody likes my builds lol. I posted a claws/will a while ago and got lots of views, no comments. Am i just picking weird sets?
  16. I've never made a debuff toon and would like to know whats the best debuffer in the game? I want to be able to turn AV's into kittens by the time i'm finished with them. So what AT has the best debuffs and what powers?
  17. Been wanting to roll an /ice armor stalker since i21 hit and thought dark would fit well with it. And i've been told that energy melee can do everything better than DM, but I chose this route instead. Any comments (good or bad) is appreciated.

  18. This is great! I small team of us went to RV for the badges and we were holding our own against the other team. Which is impressive since we were pve(ers) and they were probably built more for pvp(ing). I was using my Nrg/Nrg blaster. So, i'll prob stick to that guy since he is softcapped for certain defenses. Plus, he's my main anyways
  19. So i finally got my crab up to level 47, so i could finally fit IO's on him. When i was finished i had a crab with all defense (except toxic) soft capped to 45% or more! Also, my resistances ranged from 40's to 60's (except psi, go figure)!

So why do i not see many SoA when i'm playing? I haven't rolled a huntsman or a bane; are they any good? Cause i'm pretty much a walking tank shooting AoE attacks everywhere
  20. I think i actually want to make a toon for only pvping. A few of my friends and I went to RV yesterday for badges and I just so happened to kill a few people with me pve nrg/nrg blaster. I've always avoided pvp cause i always thought it was for hardcore pvpers only.

So, what is the most effective build for pvp? I've heard that stalkers are very good and can annoy people. Or should i roll another blaster? Any advice is appreciative!
  21. Simple: My Dual Pistols/Mental Manipulation Blaster. He can do it all really.
  22. What alpha did you go with for this build?
  23. decent farmer? I have personally been farmed by Gunmage and she is...its just beautiful to watch.
  24. Sorry about that. I went back and changed a few things anyways
