Gunmage's DP/MM Farmer
Drain Psyche + Res = win
I crashed a cadillac through the gates of hell and returned with a fistfull of dollars.
Do you think going Ice Mastery or Mace Mace Mastery would be better for the S/L defense than going temp Invul for the S/L resist? Other than That I really like the build and would like to see it in action one day.

You don't need to build for defense for a farming blaster. Chug lucks before starting and combine all inspirations except lucks into reds during the mission. This is of course more specifically an AE farming strategy, but, well, that's pretty much where you're going to be unless you're one of those weirdos who goes for purples instead. Even then, demons or BM minions will be dropping lucks.
Fantastic build Gunmage, you're tempting me to make a DP/MM to go with my DP/EM, heh.
Pretty expensive build for investing in a blaster but yeah....that would be a decent farmer.
decent farmer? I have personally been farmed by Gunmage and she is...its just beautiful to watch.
I recently made a fire/fire blaster and have loved farming with it except for one major issue.
All of the minions and LTs are dead in no time which eventually leaves me just bosses. I could easily kill them if it werent for them constantly running away. Any advice on dealing with this? Ive even gone so far as to contemplate a build with provoke.

@Labrynth LOL So the secret to becoming a boss is knowing when to run

Goal is for optimal farming speed, and them running away cuts into that so much that it is no longer feasible to even compete with a brute's speed. Yes... of course I can just let them run away, but thats an obstacle I am looking to overcome.

I'm confused as to why this build doesn't get shredded on +3/+8 or whatever fire farms? Or are you farming something different?
I've even brought soft-caped FM/SD scraps into fire farms and they get destroyed pretty quick ... they just don't have the RES to stand up to the fire dmg that gets through.
I guess the other plus here is the PBAOEs -- bullet rain, HOB (32 secs timer), Psy Shckwave, Replusion Bomb. Is that the key? I have a Fire/MM blaster (softcapped to S/L) but he obviously would lack HOB and Repulsion Bomb.

Even if you get hit (50% resist is still something), you regen at a insane rate.
And its S/L farms i assume, basicly all non-FA farmers are in the SL side (elec maybe on energy).
50)Sinergy X/(50)Mika.
(50)MaceX/(50)Encore

I'd personally would have gone with Mace Mastery and softcapped S/L defense. That plus drain psyche will keep you alive and then you can focus on converting everything into reds.
My DP/MM is decent at farming, but it just doesn't compare to my SS/Fire or Claws/Fire Brute.

Nice build, resistance is definately the way to go with a farming squishy. Its much easier to get the lucks to shore up your survivability than it is to get the resist insps
I believe the OP is using a S/L farm and vengeance bait to bring up the defenses for further assistance and survivability.
I did a quick swap of his purples and it brings Drain Psyche 3 seconds short of perma and Hasten is short of 5 seconds. Of course your loosing DPS but your cutting down the price of the build into the millions instead of billions. I did a a non purple build in another thread and I think I cut it down to 1 second short of perma. So someone with not funds could do the limited build and then farm until they could afford 1 purple set and end up at perma Drain Psyche.

WOWZERS! This build has AWESOME regen. I have a Fire/MM Blaster and I would love if somebody could post a build for me that is supa awesome please? Thanks in advance!
Gunmage, I'm curious what you farm with this, and on what settings. Not in a "hah hah prove yourself" way, but in the "as I level more characters up, I'm thinking more about farming possibilities, and would like to learn more about how folks match up characters and targets for their happy farming" way.
He farms 54x8 SL ambush

But to give Granite_Agent an honest answer
His resistance is at 50% for Smash and Lethal. The max is 75%.
He needs to have one player with him and what he does is this other players pretty much just plays dead in the center of the room and he runs in and uses vengeance on the player. Which caps out his defenses to smash, lethal and Melee. It pretty much almost caps out all his defenses. One purple inspiration for sure he would be capped to everything.
So now with 50% resistance to smash and lethal and capped out to all these defenses. When he is fighting an S/L mob either he does not get hit or he really gets minimal damage because of his resistances.
Drain Psyche boost his regeneration and recovery super high so when you combine all of this together its just game breaking. He hardly gets hit and when he does its minimal and then it heals up super fast.
The simple weakness is its a one trick pony. He is confined to AE to do this somewhat and he needs another player with him. Of course just asking who wants to be vengeance bait and be farmed for free he will not have any issues finding volunteers. He could even dual box and not ask anyone especially now with F2P. Of course as you can see he also has some safe guards in place with PFF and Force of nature in case he slips up with Vengeance or if other player slips up I should say and doesn't die.
Granted if he is on a team and someone dies and he can get vengeance off hes not so bad because he is at least defense capped. But I can tell you I have vengeance on a toon for the extra LOTG +recharge IO and I hardly get it off. Even on incarnate missions guys just instantly go to hospital that I never get it off. Even when I comment about giving me a chance to Vengeance off someone to help out the league some don't care and I can understand to some extent.
Its an expensive build, but I have seen his bio with his prices and if he had players pay those prices he probably made back those prices he paid for those 5 purple sets and then some.

I've been farmed by him and he hovers. I think the mobs have lot more melee than ranged attacks.
Thanks! I've been wanting a good farm build for my blaster. He's been getting his butt handed to him lately and sadly getting boring so hopefully this'll make me like that toon again.
I get a ton of people asking for my build after they see me farm so here it is...
