I'm starting the new incarnate arc. I'm doing the mission Investigate
Appt. 113.
I got to a point where I fell into a pit, now I'm just hanging out in mid air in the pit. Nothing to do but wait. Been waiting on in game support for over an hour (it really pays to pay, ay), so I'm about to give up.
I am assuming that I was supposed to fall into DA, and I'm guessing that the reason I'm hanging here is because there are multiple DA's and the game is confused (yeah, how surprising is that?) I'm also assuming that there was a window popup somewhere above me that asked me which DA to go into. Unfortunately, I am unable to go back up to check it out, so this is all guessing, am I close? -
Well, it just would have been nice to see something in there except "You'll increase your power and gain loot." Yes, those are two of my villain's goals, however, helping people is not. There was simply nothing in there that said "You'll get something special for this that you can't get somewhere else." I can get that without lowering myself to helping others (6). I didn't even see anything in the intro about being able to take advantage of them while I'm doing it...
Well, I play heroes as well, I'll just let this wait a little longer. -
I did a search, couldn't find anything.
Am I missing something, sometimes I do. And forgive me if I'm late, decided to finally give First Ward a try
I talked to the first two contacts as a Villain, Carter Mordesen and The Doorman. I found no compelling reason why my Villain might want to do anything for First Ward.
Extremely disappointed at the moment. -
The funny thing here is that I did a petition and the GM that I got to help told me to submit a bug report. Seems not even the help knows this is WAI, or at least not all of them.

As a hero I have run into two of them now that cannot be completed depending on your choice. One sends me to Sharks and the other to Grandville. What the. If I can't complete both choices then why am I given both choices???

Well, it appears that I'm in the minority, I don't care.
If I'm not involved in the event I really don't give a rat's tail.
This is happening more frequently and the frequency is only likely to increase.
If the channel continues to be used for events like this I will grow used to the messages being useless to me and start ignoring it.
If I grow used to it and start ignoring it, I will eventually miss a really important message.
like, say, I don't know...
The server is going down for maintenance.
I just think they need to find some other way of broadcasting for these events. Because right now for me it is like a boy crying Wolf, sooner or later I'm gonna stop listening. -
This is not the best place to put this, but I can't start a new thread where I think it would best fit, anyway.
This question is actually for the Devs and other Admins that can send a Admin message in the game, though others could tell me if I somehow have it all wrong.
Do we really need to get a blow by blow of a costume contest or any other event in BOLD RED in every one of our chat channels and chat windows, even when we have no interest in that event?
I found the several messages about how the costume contest would be late and that was starting to be spammy and annoying, especially since I had to see the same BOLD RED message in at least three open chat windows.
Wouldn't such things be better suited to the event channel for the server and side (hero or villain) where the event was. After all, it is an event, and it is not something that really DEMANDS MY IMMEDIATE ATTENTION!!!
Or is it? Am I wrong? Are these events so important that they demand my immediate attention and something I must be notified of at all cost?

Quote:Ya, they are, why did I think that you couldn't..... Probably because I stopped looking a long time ago and just take the missions first thing :PBuying from the contacts is what is locked. You could always sell enhancements to them regardless of whether you unlocked them or not.
anyway, the other reason is valid. If you are going to do the aura and tailor contact at 30, completing the store missions in the right order will also complete all the hunts needed for them. Mostly, I really hate hunt missions. -
Thank you, that's something.
I should have put a time in when I started the thread. Next Saturday, which will be Jan, 28, we will close the bidding.
(Just as an aside for those that don't know, it would take 1.5 Billion in Inf to get 3 Million in Prestige.) -
Quote:I unlock them all when I hit 30 and then the 40+ in PI. The reason, you can't sell to them if they are not unlocked and some of the are conveniently located so I can stop on my way by. Don't much care if I maximize the amount I sell for, but selling is better than deleting.Buying some for an alt, or in the case of the science contact, unlocking Ouro.
Nope. I would unlock all back in the day of "save every inf" to maximize sell profits.
They are level locked though. you must be level 30-34 to get the missions I think. Anyway, I always do them at 30.
hit 30--- go to atlas to get the aura mission, go get all the store contact missions--- get the level 30 tailor mission... if you do them in the right order doing the store missions will complete the tailor and aura missions -
Villain Group on Freedom for Sale to the highest bidder.
VG Name: Sacred Mercenaries
Total Prestige: ~3,000,000
Prestige on Hand: ~860,000
We thought that someone might be interested in this VG. Currently there is not much in it. Portals to all but Pocket D. Couple of Med Bays. But there it is a good starter base and with plenty of Prestige to begin with.
If you want to see it send a PM to @jh2 or @jh3 and we'll hop on Freedom. Really not much to look at, only real value is the name and the prestige you won't need to earn. -
Quote:Quoted many times by now, but "AMEN" anyway.I have been increasingly concerned about .... force non-badgers to do blatantly unproductive things.
I've given up on getting all the badges on my main. This is mostly the "Stupid" badges I'm talking about. If I happen to get on a team that's trying for one of them, great, we try, we succeed, we fail, I don't worry too much about it if one of the other players does something that makes the attempt fail, but I've stopped wasting my time looking for them. Asking a team to go out of their way to make their own lives more difficult is on my list of the most ignorant things I've seen in this game.
Like was said, if I'm solo and I need to do something completely stupid, that's fine. But asking an entire team, or worse yet, and entire league, to do stupid things is just, well, stupid. -
There is also a tip mission from levels 30 to 39 that has a Marcone boss that needs to be defeated to complete it. For get the name. You have to destroy 2 drug creates and the boss to complete. It even has a group of low level sculls in it :P

Quote:Why bother asking opinions if you're not gonna listen to them. There is nothing worse then telling someone you care about their opinion when it is clear by actions that you don't give a rat's ***. You had me believing it, I won't fall for that line again. So the TPN is going live with no changes, with all the feedback from late October ignored. Congratulations, you've managed to make an Incarnate Trial I will not run.
Quote:I'm certain leagues will find a way to succeed semi-consistently, but unless the reward outweighs the uncertainty of success, the longer form time, and % chance of failure (as any one league member not paying attention can fail the league), I forsee more BAF/LAMs being run, as they will still remain the most profitable for time invested. But I'm thankful for that, as by far, BAFs remain the most fun.
Or once again we'll have more new currencies that we can't get in the BAF or Lamda to force us to play the way they want us to play. One more reason to go FtP because the incarnate system holds little to keep me interested. -
Quote:But then, the people that don't look here and at the wiki could look at the popup and say: "Hey, the things I want the most I'll still have if I stop paying. So I'll just go to free!"And I agree.... there is a certain arrogance in the assumption that information isn't needed/desired simply because of account status.
It should be available regardless of account status.
Instead of: "Hey, I might loose these things I want so I better keep paying." -
Quote:1) Story. You went back in time and prevented the meteor disaster from happening in Atlas Park
Do you even understand why Galaxy got the axe ...
You may ask, why couldn't it have hit another zone then? one that was less used? That is the 2nd part
2) If they left in Galaxy City they would need to build new starting arcs for two zones rather than just one with all the phasing and whatnot they built into Atlas which would mean they'd also have to completely rebuilt Galaxy as well to handle the missions. -
Quote:Ya think? What moron decided to send it live with this bug? I have a size 12 I'd like to put somewhere.Perhaps this should have been addressed before pushing it to live?
Quote:Whatever reason they used to justify launching Issue 21.5 in this state, I know I'm not going to bother logging in until, at the very least, this one particular bug is squashed -
you don't even have to do that much. In the last week I've accepted SG invites on three characters. Immediately after accepting the invite the flashing started. In one case turning caused a flash about every 5 degrees of rotation and for every step the character took. Only cure in all cases was to exit the game and shut down my computer. Just exiting the game and restarting it had no effect at all.
-
I'm suffering from the flashing screen as well, and I also have the most up to date drivers on my computer.
The flashing actually started with the release of i21, but it was not on zone maps. The first flashing I noticed was on the loading screens. Part way through loading the screen flashes black and then back again and sometimes I can see the graphics reloading.
With both the loading screen and the zone maps, what it reminds me of is typing /unloadgfx only the effect is faster and harder to catch, but if I'm getting a lot of lag I do catch it.
Could this be something that is an attempt at keeping us from crashing due to the memory leaks of the graphics? -
I did not notice a problem before, but after today's patch, I am.
I have one character, a claws/sr scrapper. Before today's patch this character could keep going and going like the energizer bunny. I've tested this on the practice dummies in the RWZ. Seriously, many minutes of continued attacking, with sprint toggled on I might add, and endurance never even dipped.
Today, with sprint off, I can watch my endurance plummet in the same situation. There is a noticeable difference. -

Quote:For those of us that don't have the option of the Reveal Power yet, it is the tedious way ever time we need to find something, like some tiny little neighborhood in a hazard zone where we need to defeat X of Y and only those in that small area of the zone count. And then do it all over again tomorrow....(most were done the tedious old fassioned way well before the Reveal power was a Vet reward)...
Still looking for some official word on this. -
Has anyone seen or heard anything official about any of the map problems, especially the FoW problem on zone maps. The others I can deal with, but the FoW bug is becoming rather tiresome.
