stuck in a pit

I'm starting the new incarnate arc. I'm doing the mission Investigate
Appt. 113.

I got to a point where I fell into a pit, now I'm just hanging out in mid air in the pit. Nothing to do but wait. Been waiting on in game support for over an hour (it really pays to pay, ay), so I'm about to give up.

I am assuming that I was supposed to fall into DA, and I'm guessing that the reason I'm hanging here is because there are multiple DA's and the game is confused (yeah, how surprising is that?) I'm also assuming that there was a window popup somewhere above me that asked me which DA to go into. Unfortunately, I am unable to go back up to check it out, so this is all guessing, am I close?

Can you type in the chat box? Have you tried /stuck or /sync?

If I'd still been stuck for more than a minute or two, I'd have hard-quit from the game (Ctrl+Alt+Del) or even reset my PC if necessary, then tried again.

When this happened to me, after using /stuck a lot and spinning/moving along the wall I was eventually able to free myself from the wall. Then I used Super Jump to jump up the pit from tentacle to tentacle until I found the spot that offered me the server selection choice (there were two instances of Dark Astoria to choose from, and I came to the same conclusion about why it had happened at that point). That allowed me to select an instance and get to Dark Astoria.

This happened to me too. I had to use Teleport to travel back up the hole to the point I got the server select window.
There are more than one Dark Astoria's. I believe that is the issue. I have to wonder if test ever generated 2 of that zone.

I bet some map designer is having a "d'oh!" moment right now. It seems so obvious in hindsight, but no I don't think a second instance ever spawned in beta that I know of.

None that I ever saw.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Black Pebble is my new hero.

I know what that programmer's punishment should be:

Is that anything like the pits I would find in the i20 beta? You'd walk into that room (before an ambush) in Praet I think. If you went to a door that was black where the doors should be, then that would be a seemingly bottomless pit. The only way I got out was the Suicide-Squad power I'd forgotten was in my perma-temp list.
