Impale animation is way to long. I like the animation but the wind takes way to long they could keep the base animation and still clean it up 2.43 is way to long if they could reduce it to 2s and keep the damage the same it would still be a dps boost but behind other attacks. Yes it is a range attack but 2.43 is pretty darn crazy.
Just my view -

SPINES:
Barb Swipe will be an under-one-second attack power
Lunge is having its everything increased
Freespec will be available.
My best guess at what they will do
I am guessing Barb Swipe will drop to .83 animation which should out it on par with Shadow punch, storm kick etc
Lunge I am expecting numbers along the lines of Cobra strike/crane kick since the animation time for lunge is pretty darn close.
Any thoughts on these changes -
Mace/Shield gets a lot of kudos from people that I have read not played one myself
I have a Fire/SD and I had over 230 dps on the pylons back before the alphas etc fun set.
Ran an All scrapper ITF and STF with him as well -

I made a forunate of Kentic combats, filled out several of my resistance and defense IO's by using the bronze roles in the past ones I did not need and where woth making and selling I did the rest I just sold to the vendor. -
I know I have been gone a year or so played the game Rift. I renewed for 3 months but I will most likely drop back to free to play once it expires. Once that happens I can will not be allowed post.

I was also doing a dm/fire but again I got to the early teens and dm done it twice as you can see in my sig so i needed some other project so i abandoned that one too. In the early levels i preferred the fire/da personally
Advantages of dm/fire burn, siphon + Healing flames is nice, Fire damage aura does more damage than dark damage aura and fiery embrace is going to be nice i am sure. Soul drain to go with burn
Things I like about dark better easier to softcap s/l damage, cof or OG, fsc sword + damage aura equals sweet; heal IO out right can get 700+ hp per mob,
Both sets work it is a matter of what you prefer -
The only advantage I see for BS/SD is on a stf because if they are soft capped they can tank Lord recluse easier because parry can be stacked to keep you soft capped or 1 parry and a small purple
The other advantage of parry (if you are already soft capped) is if the debuffs get real bad it can fill in a gap to help
It also makes leveling a little easier until you get soft capped but overall I take dm/sd over bs/sd -

In fact i took provoke on my spines/da for two reason more agro and s/l defense : the benefit of having inherent fitness yay.

That is funny we did a scrapper all stf run on test before alpha (about 6 months ago or more) and beat Ghost widow then again the amount of maneuvers + grant cover plus Io builds everyone was a from the scrapper forums any ways we beat here in melee.
So yes it is possible -

Actually, I should try it on a Tanker some time. I loves me some Dark. Leveling a Shield/Dark Tanker at the moment, though. I wanted a DPS Tank, was jealous of everyone's Dark/Shield Scrappers, and figured that might satisfy both urges at once.
And of course the only reason I don't have Tankers tougher than my Katana/Dark is that I haven't tried. It's pretty easy to build a Tanker tougher than the toughest Scrapper.
I am sure da/mace go together well with the disorients and OG -
I moved some IO's around and got you more +acc + tohit and more regen and resistance
no power changes. It gives you the option to drop super jump if you want to and just use ninja run
I am not sure what is needed for concept but I take phalanx fighting before I took kick or tough because it is great out of the box with no Io or endurance burn

My best Scrapper at fighting large mobs of them is my fire/shield, and that is using a lot of hit and run tactics.
My spines/da has done well against them as well and my katana/wp I am working on is not in that level range yet -
I was on a camping trip I ran a total whopping 4 missions on Thursday evening on a lvl 34 katana/wp I have and that is all i got to do for double xp weekend
Even with that my main is going to stay my fire/sd he is by far my favorite toon -

ST, since I already have Eagle's Claw, might as well use it. Usually follow it with Cobra Strike. Those enhanced crits still work... -

Wow, okay so Crippling Axe Kick now hits like a truck. Well maybe not a truck, more like an Econoline Van.
At level 50 it now hits for a base of 132.63. Let's look at the current test numbers to see where it stands:
Counting boss crits and Arcanatime, the new DPA numbers:

Cobra Strike 72.98
Crane Kick 72.96
Crippling Axe Kick 78.95
Eagle's Claw 59.16 (plus additional crit on next attack)
Some random attack chains and their DPS:
(Note in chains that have one of CS or CK you can freely replace one with the other.)
SK - CAK - SK - CS: 81.05
SK - CAK - CS - CK: 77.36
EC - CAK - CS: 75.53 (adds 33 EC crit to CAK)
EC - CAK - CS - SK: 77.15 (adds 33 EC crit to CAK)
CAK - CS - CK: 74.97
SK - CAK - CS: 79.07
So it looks like the old best attack chain is still best, though you can substitute CK for CS to avoid knock back. -
I think it is easier to build for HP and regen rate

Well with MA and KM and /da you can do both

You could go elec/da
and do Lighting clap which is an aoe kd + disorient everything else is sleep and -end in the set
KM and MA or the other options -
I run it on my fire/sd then again it is just adding to my already booster +damage I have 19% from IO and 10.5% from assault then the AAO buff so with one target I am hitting like 48% damage buff.
It is a solid 1 slot power and does help on teams and if other people have it on teams it stacks nicely. It a small buff solo. -

That has to be the most mind numbing set and I got one to Level 22 years ago and deleted that bad boy.
