Shield Charge and lighting rod are consider pseudo pets when used.
I never use my at a distance I head into a large group and aim at my feet to leverage against all odds damage buff
If that does not work PM Positron about the issue -
Question on 1k cuts
Will I miss it for aoe damage or will sweeping strike + typhoon edged and LF be more than enough for aoe damage -
Well i wanted to do a katana/da at one time now I decided I rather go katana/elec just so i do not have to rely -kb's and I can stick a cool IO in grounded default slot and open opem slot's else where in a build. But that is me

Quote:/sr can get to what perma elude was with out elude in fact Elude is about as useless as can be for a good /srIn my neverending quest to make a god I was wondering what ATs can almost make their god mode permanent with the right build and investing in IOs. I am assuming the most likely canidates are Elec Armor and SR ATs with natural recharge powers plus Hasten.
What builds can almost Perma their god mode or at least have their god mode up for 50% of the time in battle ? I am not just looking at Melee ATs but others as well that get God Mode powers in their Ancillarys/Patrons. What Ats and build are they and how can near Permagod mode be achieved ? Is it worth it ?
Thanks
Once you soft cap on /sr at 45% defense to all you have everything elude has except the endurance boost but then again you do not have to worry about the crash either. So /sr can get to god mode with out it's god mode power.
Thrown in aidself or something like dm with siphon life and /sr is crazy good -
You got your nerf now have fun having no one to play with in AE as they just go back to PI and farm there again
-
Quote:I have a build planned out where I can get around 26% and maybe more melee defense and 26% aoe and Range around 23% I am also skipping a travel power and do like I have done my /sr's going swift + LR + sprint amd CJ at 49If you have lots of Inf this may work for ya.

Quote:I know all that but in protest of no KB protection and the nerf of acro I retired my /da's (yes yes I know IO's) I got both my /da's to 50 prior to IO's in fact i started my dm/da back before stacking armor and where Dark regen base endurance cost was 50 (yea that sucked)Spines/DA has the advantage of OG and Dark Regen, but Spines/Elec isn't going to be plagued by the endurance woes of Spines/DA (which inhibit survivability in fights that last longer than 10 seconds) plus, as isn't often mentioned, Spines/Elec would actually have the ability to gain some measure of additional survivability from endurance draining. Power Sink + Lightning Field is actually quite the impressive secondary mitigation, not to mention that Energy damage is significantly more common than Negative Energy damage. Plus, Power Surge is actually a useful tier 9.

Gerr I am still stuck for all the reasons you listed I just may remake my spines/da I retired into a spines/elec
-
Man i just can not make up my mind on what primary to go with this set
I know I do not what elec/elec because I am also going to be doing and elec/shield
I already have two dm at 50
So where to go from there has anyone tested several sets and have one that they think stands out with elec armor -
Mr Liberty I personally would drop Havoc for Charged Brawl since it has a better DPA and also realize JL also has better DPA than Havoc in fact Havoc is the worse attack of electric it is basically smite with a 1.5 activation time vs smites .97
When I had the gurus back before beta run their dps calculation on a direct crossover from brute which is what we got Havoc was the one attack to skip I will see if I can find the old post not sure with the forum change but I will dig some and link it if I can
Ok editing post found the link here about the ST attack chain
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=142888 -
If I remember right when we where speculating on the numbers being the same as brutes but on a scrapper scale that Havoc punch was the attack to skip and just Take JL
-
There was an entire thread on this on the old forms on test we did back to back all scrappers TF's on test
We cleared the ITF 1st and the next week we did the STF even with the repairmen bug and completed it all with no nukes or Shavian -
I think it was DR V I did not even know what an AV was at that time; I knew what perma elude was and I was working on that Had to use insp of course with the stupid disease chewing away at me. After that I do not remember I knew I did Mastero as well with ny dm/da way back when
I mean back then it was common place with IO but then again 4 and 5 slotting damage SO was not punished. After the nerf and then IO's came out I pretty sure it was Marauder but not even 100% sure on that -
Quote:Holy inflation batman I bought my for 30 million a popJust to put the numbers out there
In Active Defense I had three L35 Recharge enhancements and with 1 application of AD and Battle Agility I had 37.5% defense debuff resistance with three membrane exposures it went up to 48.69% and with it double stacked it goes up to around 75% defense debuff resistance.
So I think the 300 million was well spent considering I can cut defense debuffing powers by a significant margin. -

Quote:The trick is when he debuffs you move away his rock throw is slow to recharge is what I did on my fire/sd and that was before I had tough in my build. (It was something I was testing)Blah rage posting. It seemed like he got lucky with that attack every time and my defense was debuffed well enough for him to smack me around. Would have axed that punk if he didn't have dull pain...
Just you wait, Shadowhunter. I'll be back, and I'll have an AV solo'ing build ready to put you in the dirt. -
Gamblers Cut should be where the achilles Proc goes since it is your most used attack
Dropping Flashing is not a big deal; I did it many moons ago on a build and I came to miss it when I had the chance to do alot of aoe stuff but it did not hamper me in any way or slow me down -
-
Thanks shows you how long it has been since I used TT (something like I4 or I5) was the last time I used it so i forgot about it not preventing kb.
-
Quote:What tool would you propose a scrapper should use to prevent clap from KBing most foes out of OpGloom Range?
Walls exist, corners are fine, dumpsters are fun... but it's definitely more situational for a scrapper than for a SS/Dark/Mu or Ele/Dark/Mu brute who can use the immob to lock down the KB.
EDIT: All that said, I agree that clap IS an entirely new capacity for a scrapper. Assuming that it does get ported, it offers a level of AoE control beyond any current scrapper primary.
Well on the aoe immobilize they do have access to Tenebrous tentacles in /dark epic to stack with all that. I did not even think about TT at the time -
Thunder clap by itself to most scrappers is ho hum but in the right hands of an elec/da it presents a new dynamic to scrappers (or should I say an old one pre cof nerf :])
I was looking at Mids on brutes and if electric melee gets ported as is (no I am not in closed beta) this is all just looking at current powers as is on brutes
Thunder clap becomes an interesting dynamic with a dark armor build I know I know we had it to a degree with tof and cof and og and cobra strike but those attacks are single target which means 1 big boss and then switching targets etc useful but if there are large amount of mobs it makes it hard.
Now comes thunder clap in a paboe now we have a power that stacks with OG in an paoe fashions for mag 4 stunning with just base IO's a /da couls have a many OG going of every 15 seconds and stunning multiple mobs 1 application and taking out multiple mobs stunned and then they start beating on them and death shroud keeps going
yes I know brutes could do this but I never heard of brutes doing this because of furry; for a scrapper this is a boon. -
Quote:Who will be making Spines/elec?
now that elecs getting a heal and itll be great on end with lots of AoE and res. only thing is im not sure how to edit database to see other stuff (in Mids)
Nope going elec/sd lighting rod +shield charge yay and in thunder strike aoe + Jacob's ladder cone and chain induction a funky sorta aoe sounds more fun
I actually use my fire/sd over my spines/da to farm and retired my spines/da permanently I am slowing gutting him of IO's. I can only play so many scrappers at a time -
Quote:I have zero endurance issue on my fire shield then again I have a high end build made to solo AV'sI have both for what it's worth. The differences are the expected ones. I think (not backed by math but just by playing both to 50) that the Fire/SD is stronger in damage both ST and AoE while the DM/SD is much more survivable and has zero endurance woes thanks toDark Consumption.
It all depends of course. Ten mobs around to fuel AaO and Soul Drain makes DM stronger in ST, just one around Fire goes ahead.
In the end I prefered DM though I miss the AoE. -
Quote:Yeah, I guess I'm a dork. Fire/ is not that AOE. The more AOE Scrappers are not compatible with /Shield. That either changes everything or nothing. I have enough Dark/ and have a couple Fire/ that seem to be good fun, so will likely try that. But if I'm going for real AOE potential, is Claws/Dark still the best?
Thanks.
You could wait for elec/sd that should be heavy aoe with Chain induction Jaobs ladder and thunder strike add in lighting rod and shield charge
