Who will be making Spines/elec? now that elecs getting a heal and itll be great on end with lots of AoE and res. only thing is im not sure how to edit database to see other stuff (in Mids)

Will be making one. First thing, I want a leg up on it so I can write an extensive review/guide. lol, probably not, but I already vowed to take it to 50. Hope it doesn't dissapoint.

Where do you news on Electric changes? (Since the forum changes nuked the dev digest I can track anything.)

just wondering on this topic, ... considering all the possibilities, what are the best (non-AE) maps from which contact (lvl-50), for various scrapper power sets ??? stictly speaking, i'm more concerned with the most effecient ones concerning the scrappers sets, such as FA being highly protective towards fire, certain enemy types being more susseptable to certain damage types, ect...

some of the more popular types are Spines/* , */DA , */FA , ect..., but in general the new diff slider will help to facilitate the ease of farming and any combo's will find add'd effect in certain situations more than others,... so which do you like more than others? , ...

personally i like the To Save A Thousand Worlds arc from Unai Kemen (Peregrine Island)

Part 3: Get data from 1st dimension (3 ruptures to catalog)
Instanced Outdoor [Boomtown] @ Peregrine Island (Portal)

it's one of the largest maps outdoors, plenty of spawns, glowie required (to NOT click) so no accidental completion, and Freaks tend to yield a higher reward rate and added kill count with their self-rez, but they all have DP makeing kills take a'bit longer , i can see this being a big one for ElM being as how they're weaker to energy damage

I really have to wait and see the changes to CP. ElA on brutes failed mostly against huge spawns and took on a few strong targets exceptionally well. (mostly due to aid self's interrupt)

In it's old state ElA was the ultimate anti spines set, so I'm really curious what the new CP will bring to that (although an uninterruptible self heal will be a HUGE set changing addition).

I was a lot more excited by claws/Ela I have to say

I'm really not excited with Ela. Endurance management ? Great, but endurance is never an issue for me. I tend to do fine on my spines/dark, and i have conserve power when needed so i really never have to wait for the blue bar. I prefer powers dedicated to keep my life up when i dive into big spawns and i can't see Ela doing that even with the new crappy heal.

The only thing it has going for it is the 20% recharge bonus, and the damage aura. The tier 9 is a big no like the invuln one, with scrapper resist caps it's not only not worth it for resistance, but the crash makes it unusable for farming purpose or in any decent team.

The recharge would be nice in a build focused on that, but i can't see that happening or the survivability will be very low. So you'll probably need to invest on some + def bonuses, which means less recharge, and less overall damage, while /dark or /fire can increse their survivability while increasing their dps at the same time, thanks to the heal getting benefit from + recharge.

Be interested to know what planet you're on. Spines/DA unless you spend a LOT of cash on your blue bar is a bit of a nightmare. My 9 toggle effort was borderline unplayable till I IOd. Elec will be much easier on a cheap build.

Fire can indeed improve their survivability with recharge, meaning they spend an ever increasing fraction of their time clicking healing flames. At least Elec's tier 9 is vaguely useful while you're alive. I don't know why you think elec's heal is crappy, it appears to be pretty good to me (although not the "all your hits" that DA gets). Also elec gets good mitigation in a farm type scenario as it's difficult to attack when you have no endurance, and mobs will have none pretty fast.

From what I gathered Spines/Fire would still be better due its better AOE damage and to Elec's slower heal.

From a farming standpoint.

Nope going elec/sd lighting rod +shield charge yay and in thunder strike aoe + Jacob's ladder cone and chain induction a funky sorta aoe sounds more fun


I actually use my fire/sd over my spines/da to farm and retired my spines/da permanently I am slowing gutting him of IO's. I can only play so many scrappers at a time
