    Ehh bullet probably not, but jiggering the gun before a shot is fired I could see. You would probably need a pane of telekinetic force to stop a bullet once fired depending on what range said bullet was fired. But if you move the gun three inches down or three inches left or right you change the trajectory enough that it theoretically could miss, still depending on the closeness of the shot.
  6. My personal peve is not taking mez protection. Now bare with me here, I understand that you can build your charetors howerever you want to, and that certain builds preclude picking up all the powers or make you drop certain usefull powers for other more usefull powers, or even just for theme....... But Ive bumpted into 2 inv/??? tanks that had not picked up any toggles but had picked up all the passives. Now I dont know if they were themed or not but not picking up the mez toggle at least in inv makes me ?????
  7. Actually there is a better precendent than that. In one of the comics Guy Gardner is being disaplined for a action he took while on a unautherized vacation, and is sent to help reinforce the barrier of GL's that keep the sun eater in check. While there he many not eat, sleep, communicate with others, or head the the restrooms. Sallek tells him that the ring will tend to all his physical needs for the duration of his punishment. Forget what trade paperback I read that in but there you go.

    I left that recharge in healing flames cause it shaves off 3 seconds, which isnt much of course but it can mean living or dieing. I really dont want to spend a huge amount on this build, and I didnt pick up any of the kinetic combats from the sale and while crushing impacts are semi expencive they are also in that nifty uncommons area of the market which exemp with you, and I probably wont hit 50 anytime soonish so my points should accumulate. I did flirt with the numina set since I will proabably get a few hero merits and I belive I have a numina heal on hand somewhere.

    Mostly I am trying to do recharge, but I hate to use hasten in a fairly endurance heavy build but if you can sell me on it go ahead. I wouldnt mind adding more regen or health on top of that if you think I could get some in there. I know the resists with tough cover a good chunk of damage but higher Hp = I can take a bit more of a hit if I had to. As I said this is only my second tank ever and inv was just so easy to build.

    So I've been around awhile and while and while I already have one tank on a different server, I followed some friends to another and figured I would make another just to help out on TF's and such. My first was a inv/dm, and while it tanked well and was a blast to play, I thought I'd try more of active tank this time around. Since I like the concept of fire in general in this game and the fact that they unnerfed burn in the last couple issues, I figured what the hay. My only problem is am I doing this right (i.e. the build)

  13. well the closest primary you will have to being a tankmage is spines primaraly or claws. mostly spines since I belive they have 2 ranged attacks or more aoe's than other melee charectors. After that the only secondary I cant reccomend is SR, its a slot hog.

    Heres your build with a few adjustments, but I still think your going too far for defence and losing sight that you are damage with debuffs. If your on a team, defence will not matter if the other folks are decent players. Not to say that manuvers is a bad power to pick up mind, but on a corrupter and how you have slotted it its only giving 4.2 defence to all.

    Now if you were soloing alot then I could understand the reasoning behind trying to get alot of defence so you could solo better and to toggle tank herds with rad infection, but you said you were leaning twoards teaming and overall.

    Just to throw it out there heres the build im doing on live, and admittedly im only just lvl 27 on live with no sets but my overall goal is to get to this point.

    As you can see im going for a compleately diferent goal in my build but I do team quite well on this with my two frinds who are a ice/time and a street/dark and atm I do that with just plain SO's and im not too worried about being hit since between the both of our support classes we have a decent mix of healing.
  15. The first questiion I have is what are you trying to do with this build? I see off hand that it seems to be trying to get a high level of defence, but your really sacrificing alot of power for little protection, and it seems like your trying to hit alot of end recovery to of set the toggle drains....but Id worry more about end and less on defence.
  16. I personally didnt like em pulse. Its an okay power but even in the build I showed you if you sub it in you only get the recharge down to 112 seconds off a 300 second base. Then there is the fact that you have to 5 slot it and slots are tight in this build with the power selection shown. Which in turn it is hard to take from any other powers cause then you run the risk of not being at full damage or loosing a set bonus that you need. But thats just my opinion, if you want to try and fit it in it is your charector after all.

    On the performance shifter proc, I didnt even notice it in the powersink power, cause that proc if your trying to use it how you think it does, does not go in that power. If you want to use that proc its better by far to put it in stamina. The reason being that the proc will only trigger in power sink some of the time when you activate power sink, and will not be reliable at giving you +end. But say if you put it in a auto power like stamina, every time it has a chance to proc it will have more of a chance to do so more often, giving you more end overall.

    On Alpha, I personally prefer the cardiac total core revamp especially on the charectors that have lots of toggles, but realistically thats up to you to decide since my playstyle tends to be more conservitive, with some balls to the wall mixed in ocasionally.

    try this on for size, it might fit your goals better and wont be as a pain in the *** later of if you decide to do any exmping while still having the powerfull recharge and damage you want. Also FYI assault on a corrupter is a 15% bonus damage perma for one power slot. With the bonuses in my build you get to 31% damage and 60% global recharg . At least on mids it is.
    Sure you can use manuvers to get a 13% rech bonus but thats a power and 6 slots. The way I do it, is can I play the charector at multiple levels with the powers slotted to the right amount of complete damage and survivability.

  20. On my fire/fire I use cardiac partial core revamp, reactive total core conversion, Lore I'm using storm elementals but I havent gotten past the base.

  23. I think its sad that this next moths weekly strike targets have the ice mistral tf on it twice.
    To me this denotes the need to add a few more SF to red side as to make it more interesting. You have so many great charectors on redside that making a few decent beliveable ones that span a few level ranges seems like a semi simple thing to try.
